I am using Real ICS Lite r4 rom and in it's font folder it contains 7 different fonts and I want to chage the default font to a different one in the font folder. I know you can get apps that can change fonts but I would like to know how to change font by editing the rom on my pc, so if anyone can help I'll be grateful.
Cheers

Replace the fonts Roboto-Bold, Roboto-BoldItalic, Roboto-Italic and Roboto-regular in system/font folder with your prefered fonts.

I think I may of found the default font selection code in the aroma installer, which is the prefered way I'd like to change my font but if that don't work I will use your method.

It does say I don't want to use an app
i use font changer to change my font but some text still doesnt change, dey have tha ROM font....
"Sony Sketch" Font
Have a try
For now I haven't been able to do what I wanted, install a new font into the rom as defsult and not just rename my chosen font, which happened to be the 1 linked to RavinduSha which have had to use for now and drop it into my rom then install the rom.
I have found in system/etc a .xml file called system_fonts.xml that looks like it needs editing for this to work, I wil look into this further and if I do come up with a solution to change the default font of a rom and not just using a renamed file to "trick" the rom, then I'll post it here.

I have seen it stated that the font changer doesn't always change all fonts and you can end up with more than 1 font type, this is echoed above by whalesplaho saying it didn't change all their fonts and that just isn't good enough. I have a custom bootanimation, custom theme, custom lockscreen icons, every app having a paid custom icon all installed directly to app's, etc, etc, to make things how I want and don't want fonts that don't 100% match and frankly I prefer to do my designing/editing on a pc and not rely on app's to do it for me.
Hi Friends,
This is a little Tutorial about changing app icons permanently. There was a lot of applications available in Playstore like “ icon changer free” etc etc to change the app icons. But the problem is that u cant use that changed apps in ur app drawer. U can only use that in ur home screen as a shortcut.
So I just decided to put a little tutorial to do that easily. I know everybody will know this already. But it will help for someone I am sure….
Credit goes to my friend dewanshu93 for teaching me this by personally
Credit Why So Serious? For the Icons
(And Sorry For My Bad English)
Tools Needed:-
(a) One PC
(b) 7 zip
(c) Some good icons
STEPS:-
1) Get some cool icons from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207136 and save it ur PC. Give him big thanks for the work.
Edit:- If u need some cool Galaxy S4 icons means go here: - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2216289 Please give thanks for his work..
2) Put the apps u want to change the icons to a Folder in ur PC. For example SemcAlbum, Phonebook, Browser etc
3) Here I am taking the Phonebook app for Example..
4) Right Click the Phonebook apk -> Open With -> 7zip File Manager. Then U will get a box contained some files like the attached Image 1
5) Then double click on the res folder and u get another box like attached Image 2
6) Find the folder named “ drawable-xhdpi “ and open it. U will get This Image 3
7) And most important thing is u need to find the original icon and its name of the phonebook.apk or whatever apk u take …
8) For that an easy way is create a new folder in ur PC’s Desktop and select all the images from the box ( Image 3 ) then drag it to the that new folder in the desktop.
9)Then open that folder then search for original the apk icon. Look in to Image 4
10) In my case the name of the Phonebook.apk’s icon is “ic_launcher_contacts “. So just note down the icon name and then open the folder that contains the icons that u downloaded. Image 5
11) And choose which icon u need and select it. Then rename it to the exact name of the original apk icon. ( For example ic_launcher_contacts )
12) After that just drag that renamed icon to res/drawable-xhdpi. It will ask for over right. Press Ok or Yes. Do the same process for res/drawable-hdpi and drawable-mdpi. Means drag the icon to these folders too. That’s it. Copy the apk to ur phone and move it to the System/app with correct permission…
Check the lastly Attached Two images for ur refference .
U can do it with almost all the apks. But I cant guarantee that it will work with all apks. Some System apks did not worked for me…
And also u can take icos from other apks too..
And this is my first work in XDA. Any mistake is there means I am sorry…
Thanks....

u mean, download the apk file first, mod it and thean install?
Re: Tutorial :- Changing App Icons
Actually u will not get automatic backup when u downloading any apps from playstore. For that u need any backup apps. Ultimate backup will done the job. Install ultimate backup from playstore first. Open it go to settings and check the box allow automatic backup some thing like that. Then download the apps u need from playstore. It will automatically backuped in ur internel storage. So u can take the apks from there and then change the icons and then install it again...

If your phone is not rooted, you can only disable the wallpapers under Settings>Apps. If your phone is rooted, you can install titanium backup and uninstall the wallpapers permanently under Backup/Restore.
You can always delete the images using file explorers.
Cheers!

thanks for reply but i think you didn't understand. I'm asking how to change it in the rom itself like i want to delete some default wallpapers and add some in the rom not after flashing it!

Oh! That. You can delete the wallpapers in the zip . Just explore the rom zip and go to zipfile>>system>>media. Its different with every Rom. You might or might not find the wallpapers in the same location. It's rather easy to delete the wallpapers after flashing.
Hello,
I have a question about Miui Theme/Fonts
When I go to Fonts, then Offline Fonts, I see all the fonts I've already dowloaded to the phone.
I was wondering where these fonts are stored in the device?
I would like to extract one of them to my computer
does anyone knows?
thanks

Help me to change font for my redmi 2 mobile
This works on my Galaxy S20 ultra and should work on all S20 style phones and Samsung devices running Android 10 One UI.
Download monofonts zip, extract zip.find #mono_1.0 apk. install, create monofonts folder with all apks. Inside, place folder in internal storage, open mono app,you should see a list of different font apks.install as many as you want they should all work except for Aladdin apk.Once you install separate font apks.go to your settings,Display,Font style and they should show up in the list, click on whatever font style you installed and your font should change,Hopefully this works for anybody interested in having more than 3 or 4 fonts to choose from in there phone.
Is Google Sans included?
@harisyks
no it's not. You can see the fonts after unzipping the file OP provided.

Yes, I installed _Mono app and created a folder in root with the name monofonts and only copied one font which did show up, and installed it in the app. Then went to settings, display, fonts but it's not there! I even restarted the phone but same. Also, could you make a .apk with I font that I want? would that work? or is it limited to the fonts that come with this .zip?
Like this Font?
