Phone did not load all contacts
Make sure that all contacts on old phone are saved on Google account, not on Xiaomi or in phone memory - then they will be automatically synchronised with your new phone, if you sign-in with the same Google account on both phones. If the latter is the case, use app like Transfer Contacts or MyPhoneExplorer.
Sorry for the delayed reply. For the one who has the same problem, if you have a gmail account, please try this way below:
Step 1. Add your Gmail Account
First of all, open "Settings" > "Accounts" > "Add account" on the old Android phone, then click "Google". Type your Gmail address here.
Steps 2. Sync Contacts to Gmail
After adding the Gmail account on the old Android phone, go back to "Settings", click "Accounts" > "Google" > "Sync account". Then you will see "Sync contacts" option and turn it on.

}
Step 3. Transfer Contacts to New Android Phone
When you have backed up the contacts to Gmail, take out your new Android phone and go to "Settings" > "Accounts" > "Google". Next, you can switch on "Contacts".
Tap on 3 vertical dots on the top right corner and then choose "Sync now" icon, and your contacts will be synced to the new Android phone.
Hope this will be your help.

How do you turn off / disable Gmail notifications?
It seems like the updated Gmail app has very few settings now and turning off notifications isn't one of them?
Look at the bottom.

Appreciate my help? Thank me
On mine, once in Gmail, menu, more, settings, scroll down near bottom and uncheck email notifications.
Diaz beat me to it by a minute.
What version of Gmail do you guys have? I remember my old Gmail used to be that way that Diaz shows, but in 2.3.5, it's different?
On mine, once in Gmail, menu, more, settings, General Preferences, and then...nothing?
Also, what screen shot app are you using? I used to use this one on my 4G but now it no longer works on the 3D:

Okay, DUH!
I figured it out.
Once you get to Settings, you have 2 options:
Settings
Account Settings
You have to click on your email address (under Account Settings) and then you can modify everything like normal.
Duh! LOL

I was just about to post this. This gave me such a headache last night when I flashed Supra lol
I have version 2.3.4.1....where do I get the new update?
I have checked the ther forums for any repeat problems in this issue. but since there are non, i have to post a new thread.
I done a hard reset on my phone, its spanking new.
but when i want to sync my calender with google calender, i have this error.

maybe the new stock calender is empty, and by sync, it will delete all in my google calender, so it says too many item deleted. what ever option i choose, the problem keeps repeat itself.
SO....i went to google about this, it seems to be a common problem, and the solution is http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=114500&topic=21414
i did that, which is to
go settings>application>manage application>all>calender storage
and clear data.
Now this is the part i'm screwed. look at this.
My calender app is no longer linked to my google account and google calender at all. pressing calender sync will no longer have the error message, but it will not sync to my google account at all.
WHat am i suppose to do? please help. i've google about this and theres no solution.
my phone is rooted by the way, if thats any good news.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
i can't believe it. I actually solved my own problem.
I've been really depress, and never stop google about this. i tried reading about reinstalling the stock calender, but doubt that it would work.
Then i suddenly had an idea, i added my friends gmail acount into "acounts and sync",
once successfully added, i clicked calender sync,
TADA!!! in calender app, the option of my gmail acount and the new gmail acount both appeared!
so i went back to delete the new gmail acount from my phone, and all is back to where it was.
SO proud and happy of myself ^^V
Hello community, I am trying the stock email client and I have used my live email account to check it out. Unfortunately, when I open a message I don't get the full email with the pictures like on the computer. For this to happen, I have to press at "load more details" on the end of the message. Also, I can't get the new emails without refreshing the account through the app.
How can I "fix this?"

You have it set to only retrieve 2K of each mail. That's your problem. Tap it and increase the size. You also have it set to retrieve emails every 3 days. Tap it and change it to Automatic. Also, go to sync schedule and make sure they are both set to Push.
Thanks for your reply. I have made these changes but nothing changed. Then, I deleted the account and tried again. Unfortunately nothing again. Also, the "Period to sync email" is set to "3 days" even if I choose automatic.
On account setup I go with the automatic setup. Should I go with the manual setup?

I have Period to sync email set to All. I get my email pushed to my tablet with no problems. I did do manual set up though.
Some of you have probably noticed that you cannot find the settings item that allows you to modify your account sync settings or delete accounts that you have added to your Omate TrueSmart. Below is a workaround:
First, you must install the Play Store on the device. You can find download links here. Use the file manager that comes in the stock firmware to browse to the file that you downloaded (Probably under MyFavorites) and install it. You may need to allow untrusted sources.
Once you have the Play Store installed, sign into your Google account and download and install Nova Launcher.
After Nova Launcher finishes installing, press your home key. You will be prompted to select a launcher. Tap on Nova and select just once or always, your pick. I find Nova to be pretty easy to use on the Omate TrueSmart.
Once you're at the Nova home screen, press and hold on a blank spot on the screen. A menu will pop up. Choose Shortcuts

}
Choose Activities
Scroll down and find the entry for Settings to expand the list
Scroll down further until you find the 2 entries for Sync. Choose the second entry
You will now have a Sync icon on your screen. Select this and now you can choose accounts.
Once you choose an account you can change the sync settings for that account. If you want to delete an account, swipe from the left edge of the screen to the right to bring up the menu. From the menu you can remove the account.
Stock firmware? I don't see Sync there but I'm running Loki's 2/21 release.
Thanks Dees, added to the [INFO] Everything...
Hi, I am trying to sync Google Calendar with no luck at all. No calendars show up at all even though our Google account and Gmail are working with the rest of the phone. I have looked on the web and "Calendar Storage" is supposed to be enabled but there is no "Calendar Storage" listed at all in "Installed Apps"
I downloaded the Google Play update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996995) ( PlayStore_V5.0.38.apk)
I downloaded another calendar and it tells me that "Calendar Storage" is disabled and enable it in app settings??
Thanks for any help in advance.
