Hi!
I've encountered a bug in my v30 which I've never seen before.
Basically when I long-press the home screen to enter the home settings, like widgets, my device locks itself as if I double tapped it.
I tired to clear the cache and data of the lg home application but it didn't solve the problem.
By the way, it hasn't been like this all the time, but I don't know since when it has this bug.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?

I have my widget locker all configured to my liking and such, but when I press the power button to turn off the screen, it shuts off but then instantly comes back on again. Basically I have to press power twice in order to achieve screen off status.
I'm wondering if there is somewhere in the settings I did this or can fix this? I'll reset and start all over if necessary, but was hoping someone here could help me.
Hmm... sounds odd man. I never had that issue and I have been playing with it for a bit. My best guess is you may have Easy Wake on in the settings. That will wake your phone when you touch Home, Menu, Back, or Search. Maybe your palm is hitting those buttons when you hit the power button??
If that's not it I would start over...
Nah man Easy Wake is unchecked as well as everything in that section. I really wish someone would have a fix for this. I guess I'll start all over and then post if I'm still having the problem.
Haven't reset everything yet, and I'm just noticing some more problems. If I press the volume rocker up or down while the screen is off it turns the screen on. Also sometimes when I turn the screen off, after about 5 seconds it'll randomly turn back on. This is similar to my original post problem, but the screen waits longer to come back on. Anyone use Widget Locker on your ThunderBolt and have success with it? I'm having nothing but problems.
1) Go ahead and go into applications under the main phone settings clear all Widgetlocker data. What you're describing is Easy Wake mode though you say that it unchecked. WL's settings might have gotten screwy and clearing the data should set it straight.
2) Go into the advanced settings of WL and make sure that you haven't disabled the notification icon. For some reason the old sense lock screen would cause issues if I had that checked.
3) Are you rooted? If so go into the advanced settings of WL and make sure Root Helper is checked.
Let me know what happens.
Shoot kevin an email. Hell get back to you quick. Very responsive dev.
working fine on my TB, not that it helps you any lol.
Seems as though my problems have gone away by simply disabling my security pattern.
mob87 do you use a security patter/pin/password with widget locker? Does anyone else?
Any one have any suggestions on how to get my security pattern/pin to work with Widget Locker?

I am having the same issues as the OP, will clearing all the data as described above, wipe everything that I have configured for the lock screen and I will have to start all over or not?
Also what does selecting "Root Helper" in advanced settings actually do?

Yes, it will clear all wl data and you will have to reconfigure your lockscreen. As far as roothelper I've never used wl so I really don't know, hopefully someone else can help you with that

I'm on a rooted Desire HD and I'm having the exact same issue with the screen coming back to life immediately after pushing the power button. I'm forced to have a PIN due to Exchange security settings.
I'll report the issue to the dev.
im having the same issue on m HTC desire. and im using Password pin protection as well.
i tried clearing the widgetlocker data/ downloaded the new superuser app from market and even reinstalled the app but still i can't find the solution.
if anyone has the update on this please let me know.
Anyone come up with a solution to this? I have an Inc2 with the issue. I also have to have a PIN for my Exchange server, so I imagine that's what's causing it. But, it's quite annoying and it'd be nice to have a fix.
Short Answer:
This happens on some HTC devices if the PIN activates immediately after the screen goes off, it will not happen if you delay the pin by either:
System Settings > Security > Lock screen after > 3 Minutes
or
WidgetLocker Settings > Long-press volume down for Experimental > HTC > HTC Lock Delay > 10 (seconds).
Long Answer:
WidgetLocker actually never turns the screen on by itself, however it does activate at screen off. HTC's pin screen on some (mainly newer) devices will wake the screen if something happens after the pin has activated. So WidgetLocker activating trigger's HTC's pin to wake the screen. (Ugh). But if it's delayed then it's no such issue. I haven't found a non-delayed solution to this yet. WidgetLocker's setting does the same thing as HTC's, however WidgetLocker lets you enter the number of seconds as whatever you want. Less than 10 seconds may work, but 10 seconds seems to consistently work across different devices and configurations and it's still really short so I'd recommend that.

After installing VEGAn gingerbread on my brand new gTablet, when I press my gTablet home button I get the clock app, not the home screen. It also boots into the clock app, not the lock screen. Help!
I have seen other mentions of this in the xda forums, but no solution. Anyone have any help?
Thanks!
New information. I reset everything and started over. This time I installed another clock before rebooting the first time. Now, after I reboot and swipe the lock screen open, I am asked how to complete that action, using Clock or Alarm Clock Plus.
If I use the back arrow to get out of that, the Home button takes me to the Home screen for that session. If I reboot, then I get the "how to complete this, Clock/Alarm Clock Plus" option again the first time.
So, it seems that it wants to launch a clock. How do I stop it from wanting to launch the clock then?
Thank you!
This seems to be an existing problem, which has been discussed here, but I don't see a solution.
It is mentioned a bunch of times in this long thread for the release of VEGAn b5.1.1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-884103.html
(search for "clock " (with a space after it))
In that thread, gojimi thought it might be related to a specific run of the devices, but there didn't seem to be a resolution.
Here are a couple other posts which mention this problem, but not a solution:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1018754.html
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-963413.html
Others have reported it for Cyanogen. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
I am also experiencing this problem on Bottle of Smoke and also had it on Vega-Tab gingerbread. Even pressing soft home button goes to clock.
Also I am pretty sure that in both cases it was fine after the loading the Rom and only started after rebooting for the first or second time.
Has anybody found a solution to this rather annoying problem?
Update :-
Also on Flashback v 4.0 through to current... Definitely only starts after 1st reboot after installing rom.
Is everyone experiencing this problem or is it only some units as rumoured?
Am facing same problem on Honeycomb on my gTablet. Not sure how to reset the default for home button!
It's really unusable after this starts as we have to press Back button several times to reach the screen where we can select the apps
I've seen this on just about every ROM I've used.. Gingerbread and Honeycomb. It's real annoying.. I had having to press back a bunch of times just to get back.. UGH.
Quick reply - I've posted this elsewhere in other threads, but the problem is actually a misfiring dock indicator pin. The G Tablet thinks its docked and initiates docked behavior, of showing the clock when the home button is pressed. The solution is an app called Dock Nothingness from the Market! Thought this might help some people.
I got similar problem and brought my Galaxy W to Samsung. They said that my phone got screwed up due to wet 'usb' connector. Cleaning those pins also removed the occational fail to charge problems.
Sometimes when I hit the home button all I get is my background and rosie does not refresh, however, if I go to the task killer and kill all the tasks then click the home button it will work properly. How can I find out what task is causing this? Also sometimes when I wake my phone by pressing the power button the lockscreen is all black. When I slide up where I imagine the ring to be it still unlocks. Any ideas? Also, I've tried multiple roms and this ends up happening to all that I've tried. Not sure what app would be causing this. Also using Net's kernel, not sure if that would cause it.
Idk if its your unit or what but if its that serious just clear the defaults on the sense application and HTC lockscreen application and anything else you'd think is causing this. If its your unit and you care that much then get it replaced
Warning: idk if clearing the sense app will change the homescreens back to default
If all else fails, back everything up and perform a Factory Reset. Then run it with just the basic apps for a while. If it seems fine, then start reinstalling your apps one by one. It may be an app causing your issues.
If that doesn't help, then it might be time for a replacement phone.
Hi everyone,
first of all I want to say I'm new to xda-developers and also I couldn't find the GT-i9100 in the list for new posts so maybe this isn't the right place for this thread . in this case, sorry, maybe someone has a hint where to post it then
So here's my problem:
My phone won't enter lockscreen. Around three days ago it started to just resume back where I had left once I press the home button (the round one in the middle) without asking me for my PIN.
I had gotten the phone used, so I did a factory reset and afterthat I installed cyanogenmod, thus rooting it, but not manually - I guess the installer did that for me.
First I had a pattern as screenlock but after applying the full-disk-encryption it would only let me choose between PIN and passoword so I set up a PIN.
Then it just started to skip the lockscreen when waking up. I get still asked the lockscreen-PIN when booting, then the SIM-PIN, then the lockscreen-PIN again, then it boots, but when the screen turns black i can always resume by pressing the home button. Also, the power button just makes the screen black, but also without ever locking it...
What I tried so far:
Settings / Lock Screen / Screen Security / Automatically Lock set to 5s
Settings / Lock Screen / Screen Security / Power button instantly locks checked
Settings / Lock Screen - Widget Pager unchecked (i read it somewhere, can't find the exact source anymore)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/lock-screen-home-button-fixed-t1506317 --> also tried this method, also rebooted after applying every of these changes listed above
I hope this is not too much of a stupid problem because I missed something really obvious - although that would be nice
Anyways, i would really appreciate it if anyone knew a solution to this.
After all, full disk encryption isn't exactly useful if your phone is always unlocked...
Thanks in advance everyone!

What's up everybody? AT&T user here with a few questions:
1) When I first got the phone I could swipe up from the bottom of the screen and a "pie like" menu with a lot of shortcuts and apps would come up. Now I have tried and tried for days and can't get it to come back. Is there a setting somewhere to re-enable this? The only thing I did was change from the LG Home screen to the Google Now Home Screen and then went back to the LG Home Screen.
2) Call logs are not current. I have made and received over 70 calls since I had the phone, yet my call logs are not being updated. Again, is there some setting to enable this? I didn't think it would be, and I have went through every setting on the phone that I could find.
Thanks in advance for your time.
