Taking WhatsApp as example (I get the most notifications from this app), when I receive a message, the screen lights up and the notification shows up properly. However, the vibration for the notification comes some seconds later, so that in some cases if I receive the notification on lock screen and power off the display, it wakes up again and vibrates for the notification.
Any hints where this can come from?
If it helps: I have Mi Band paired, getting notifications through Mi Band Tools app, the notification on the Mi Band comes at the same time as the vibration (not the initial notification).

I've just bought the Gear Fit today and it's working really well. I'm using it with a Note 3, but I would really like for my phone to be silent while the Fit does vibrate and show notifications.
At the moment the Fit only vibrates when my phone is also on vibration. If the sound is turned on or when it's silent my Fit doesn't even show notifications automatically.
Is this simply not possible or am I doing something wrong?
I have a Gear Fit with a Note 3 as well. My phone is always set to silent (no noise or vibration on phone) and I can still receive the alert on the gear fit via vibration. I would have expected the notifications once chosen on gear manager to always be pushed to the gear fit.
that's no normal : my S4 mini is always in silent mode, and I receive my notifications correctly on the Fit
I have figured out the problem after receiving another notification than Whatsapp. It seemed to be an issue with Whatsapp and had to manually turn on the vibrations in Whatsapp notification settings. It's now working properly.
I like to have my phone on silent during the night without it vibrating but with the notification light operating to notify me of incoming emails, messages, whatsapp messages etc. I'm struggling to find out how to do this. When I put the phone on silent it appears to disable the notification light. Am I missing something?

Two problems here which I'm presuming have the same fix.
1) This happens when I'm using the phone, say, listening to music via Bluetooth headset. When I receive a message or email, the screen will automatically light up to the unlock screen showing a notification pop up that I have a message. Because the phone is in my pocket and the screen is swipe unlocked, which I prefer, it is highly likely that the phone will unlock fully - so by the time I look at the phone it's done all sorts of things I didn't want.
2) When answering a phone call, the screen obviously lights up as normal. I have set it up so that when the phone is upright the screen will go blank. But, when I have finished a call using the headset, the screen comes back on again and shows the contact and because the phone is unlocked it ends up doing things I didn't want.
Please can someone tell me how to keep the screen off during and after a phone call or notification!
Is there a code to write or delete that can make it so that when I receive a phone call or notification I must press the power button to display the screen like I normally do to see the time?

I recently purchased infinix note 7 and the issue i am facing is on incoming whatsapp message my phone give sound notification but screen wont wake up although i set priority notification for whats app in both whatsapp and mobile setting .i also turned off notification push block for whatsapp. For sms (messages) screen wake up
I just upgraded from an S10 Plus. I have my audio settings set exactly the same. When using Google Maps to navigate I have it set to alert only. On the S10 while driving the music would drop in volume, I would get the alert tone and she would say "speed trap ahead" along with the pop-up on the screen asking if the speed trap is still there. On the S23 I only get the pop-up on the screen, no audio notification and the music volume stays constant. Is this a known bug? I would also get notification tones for messages as well, nothing on the S23. If I set it to be completely un-muted the turn by turn directions come through as expected but I have not yet driven through an area where an alert notification would come through while un-muted.
That sounds like a bug because I have a macro set to run everytime I connect to my car to turn down notification volume to 0 so it doesn't mute audio for notifications but calls still ring for me just fine.
