Best 3rd party tips for freebuds? - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Accessories

Anyone else here using the huawei Freebuds? The sound from these is very good, but they are let down by the included tips. Regardless of which size I use, none stay in my lug holes for more than about 30 seconds, requiring refitting and invariably triggering either the pause or Google assistant feature.. And using tips from other phones means the buds don't make proper contact for charging in the case.
Can you recommend some tips which fit better, both in the ear and in the case?

I was not able to find tips that fit and also worked with the case. So I just carrier my tips on a small carrying case with the freebuds case

"Fast Open" Case/Wallet Combo

Anyone know of a nice case for the 8125 with a credit card pocket?
I am looking for something that can hold about 7-8 credit cards (ideally a secure pocket, so the cards don't fall out.)
Also, it should be easy to open quickly (without taking the 8125 out) so I can make a call.)
Finally, quality is important, something like Piel Frama would be great.
Thanks!
Case/Wallet combo
In searching for cases, I was only quasi-impressed, until I came across this case (Naztech Voyage)...
http://www.elitextreme.com/navocabrhoca.html
This may be my first 3rd party 8125 case (I'm a PPC newb, former Palm/Clie user).
Tangential:
I googled the company Naztech, and they have a BUNCH of other types of cases as well, and they seem to have a LOT of really cool designs, almost up there with Vaja (at a lower price)
http://www.naztech.com/index.php
I don't have any affiliation with Naztech, so I can't speak of the quality, but they certainly LOOK slick...
anyone else use Naztech cases?

Thanks. Did you get the case and if so, how do you like it?
Does the 8125 (Wizard) fit in it O.K.?
Also, does that clip come off (I hate clips
I went looking for reviews, and came across one site that actually had a pic of the 8125 in the case. It certainly looks good.
http://www.extremepda.com/page/XPDA/PROD/cingular_8125_accessories/CING8125VOYAGE-BLK
There's a few reviews on forums (very positive), but I guess the company isn't doing a great job of marketing itself... I'm 99% sure this is the case I'm going to order this week, after seeing the pics.
I played with something similar in a store and it seems that half the time I replace the phone in the case it presses on a button.
The clip is also a deal-killer:-(
So far, I have given up that I will be able to find a decent-looking, well-made case for the Wizard which can hold credit cards.
So I've started looking at flip cases. Most of them seem to have the same problem of pressing on the Wizard's buttons when one closes them, or are just ugly (like the Brando case.)
It would be great if someone made something like this for the Cingular 8125: http://www.ebcases.com/-strse-3192/Slipper-TM-Conv.-(snap/Detail.bok
Has anyone tried this one http://www.ebcases.com/Detail.bok?no=3357 for the 8125? It looks like it wouldn't press on buttons when closed and it would be easy to open quickly to answer or make a call.

Case, car holder and bike holder from Krusell, any comments on this configuration?

For my TP2 I'm looking for a solution for my case problem: I want to protect my TP2 in a case, but also want to be able to use it in a car (for navigation and hands free calling).
For the TP2 there seem to be two kinds of cases: one is more or less the one that came with my TP2, these are useless, because you have to take the phone out every time you want to make a phone call. The other type are the ones made by PDair, Krusell and others, where the phone can always stay in the case and even the keyboard can be used. However, it is way too much work to take the phone out of the case every time I want to use it in my car.
Today however, I may have found a solution: it seems that Krusell is selling a car holder in which the TP2 will fit while it is inside the case! And when I use their springclip (instead of the rotating round swivel knob) inside the car holder, it is fixed against rotation as well.
As an added bonus, they even have a bike holder, so I can use the TP2 on my bike as well!
Does anybody have any experiences with or comments on this idea?

Backplate replacing covers

I'm starting this thread because I'm interested in finding covers and cases that attach to the phone as a replacement for the backplate, thus keeping it as trim as possible. The only one I've heard of is Samsung's own original covers, but I'm hoping there'll be others.

Sorry for being the third thread on this topic. I did a search, but didn't find anything specific on backplate replacemnt cases. Did find various on wallet and flip cases. Even if Samsung is taking forever, hopefully other manufacturers will jump in. But perhaps the backcover is patented?

I've been spending ages looking for the same thing. Definitely not a patent issue. There are literally hundreds of pages of various Note 3 covers on Amazon, many of which are replacement battery doors. Problem for me is that most are window cases claiming to be "S-View", none of which actually work with the s-view functionality. If I can't get a working S-View then I'd rather not have a window at all. I'm not sure about the official Samsung cover because it looks like it makes the phone much bigger by thickening the back to extend over the camera, and I want it slim as possible.
Best options I've seen so far look to be these:
http://www.amazon.com/Practical-COV...=1384427137&sr=8-53&keywords=n9000+flip+cover
There's also this:
http://www.amazon.com/Practical-COV...84428841&sr=1-200&keywords=n9000+battery+flip
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Cover-B...1384427417&sr=8-278&keywords=n9000+flip+cover
Final interesting one is this, which is the first 3rd party case I've seen which claims to properly support S-View. Looks pretty much identical to the Samsung case though:
http://www.amazon.com/YESOO-Leather...F8&qid=1384429365&sr=8-1&keywords=n9000+yesoo
Please let me know if you turn up anything else interesting, as it sounds like we both want the same type........

Thanks for all of your suggestions.
S-View support in the case would certainly be nice, but it is not a top priority. My priorities are:
1) Back cover (battery cover) replacement, not an outer attachement.
2) Some pockets for cards and bills, actually the outer front cover could come with a foldout for more cards and bills.
3) S-View support
I have an original Note and the case has two slits for cards and a long slit for bills, but it also comes with an outer attachement cradle, and that is a little too much bulk to be really comfortable. Since the Note 3 is thinner it would be real nice to utilize that for a better case experience this time around. Hence, I'm not that particular about price, although I believe the original Samsung S-View cover is waay overpriced, I have ordered one just to establish a base line for what is available out there.
I have started to encounter vendors that lets me use the NFC for payment, but lets face it, this will take at least a decade to take hold. In the meantime I still need to carry around some credit cards and bills. Some day I can hopefully start my car and open my doors with my Note 6.

I ordered and received a S-View case. The backplate is removed to attach the new case, it has two connectors that will allow you to use the S-View feature and charge it with wireless Qi chargers. There are no pockets for cards or bills, but the S-View window is a usable feature, it has two windows, swipe from right to left, the first shows time, date, weather and in my case a step counter, the other is for music, action memo and camera. The material is a leather like plastic that feels sturdy enough to withstand a smaller drop (not planning on testing that) and an added benefit is that the Note will fit in Samsung's multimedia dock with the covert attached.
Hopefully, third party vendors will come out with even more usable covers over time.

I have the thin case and it's really too much money for what it is. It's not going to offer much protection if you drop it. I think it's too slick also. I wish it was grippier.

I would like to see a sandstone textured case, much like the finish on OnePlus' 1+1.
I have a few cases for other phones w/the finish & it feels a lot better than a slick surface.
You don't feel the need to "power grip" your phone w/such a finish,a much better feel-in hand vs smooth cases/surfaces.

Agree completely it's seriously overpriced for a case. It's nice and all but just go for the "rugged" one people. Do the USB type C earphones have the LED the BT ones have?
Thanks guys! For me, I prefer the "office guy" case; one that's super minimal such as Peel or MNML. The biggest worry for me is scratches on the aluminum of this phone..

I have the USB type C headphones from Razer and they do have the green LEDs. They are constantly on though, unlike the BT breathing ones. :good:
The headphines
I ordered the HammerHead BTs and so far have not had any problems. The supplied ear plugs have been a good size and have been easy to keep clean. For smaller ears the spikes on them can catch the ear lobe of pushed in quite far however they sound as good as any other £100 Bluetooth in ear headphones.
The case
I've always been one to get the case from the supplier of a phone so went with the rugged case. I have always looked after my tech never even cracked or scuffed one so for me the case is for piece of mind that when input it down on a surface I won't scratch the back or camera lenses. Currently the phone is at work on my gaming mouse mat or at home on my other gaming mouse mat. If not on a mouse mat I know is clean then it's in my pocket where nothing else goes in.
Screen Protector.
I've never used on but then I have always been careful and at the back of my mind all previous phones have been apple so have had faith the screen could get replaced if needed.
Considering that I did buy the Razer screen protector but will get a friend to apply it to the phone as it's something I've tried in the past and never been 100% good at and at the £25 price tag I want it to go on without problems.
Still waiting on the case and screen protector but will let you know
The rugged case sure is imo. There's hardly anything rugged about it unless you count paint being matte?
It's not going to survive anything dropped more then 6" on anything other than carpet. ?
It's the word case, plus a top side wall, and 20-30$ more.
Really with some rugged cases would hurry up. Opting for a zippered tactile type pouch until someone produces one.

I've just requested a cancellation of my accessory order (case/screen protector/USB earbuds) :
Bad enough the cases/etc.. are overpriced, but,I get it,new phone/etc... prices drop on all of it in a couple months,if you want savings, wait a bit,but I was willing to pay the admission price of getting it now.
However,Day 5 of my 5-7 day window is here & checking the status,I'm greeted with a longer wait,6-9 business days.
Only way to contact order support is via email, which states a 24 hr. window for response.
Once you get the ticket confirmation, that window is extended to 24-48 hrs.
A real S***** way of conducting business Razer ,future purchases will be via Amazon/Microsoft/e-Bay/etc.... anywhere other than the Razer On-line store.
Ya, as my first was defective with the speaker crackle I opted to change my rma to a return. Then just bought one on Amazon.
I will say though Razer customer service is prolly slammed right now but each time I've done a live chat they've been polite, answered questions, and listened as I've reported a few bugs.
Leaps and bounds better than other places I've dealt with. (Though I'm kinda irked they haven't been pushing messages to the phones about what's up with the sound reduction from patch 1.0, or at least a Twitter update or such)

The chats are fine for tech support, but, that option doesn't exist for order inquiries, no phone call support either, just email for order inquiries.
They've essentially built a firewall for order support, to stall/buy time, it's a tactic I will not encourage, hence, my order cancelation request.

Just RMA my hammered bt kinda want the usb type c ones instead :/. Also if anyone has pictures of the rugged case both on the phone and off I'd greatly appreciate it
Possible coincidence:
After placing an order cancelation request earlier today (after Razer pushed back the processing/ship date).
They've updated the status to SHIPPED,from Hong Kong to the US, will be here tomorrow.
All's well that ends well, but, I'm still not happy regarding their email firewall regarding order support.
Will post my 2¢ review on the thin case / screen protector & Hammerhead USB-C buds tomorrow.....

I like that,but, I agree with you:
Judging by the picture, calling it a rugged case is laughable.

Ya, the inside has a very thin layer of silicone or something, kinda neoprene like... The only protection I see it giving, is scratch protection and an edge, so the phone can't rest on it's screen.
I've been checking everyday, but so far the only other case is the orzly one that's the crappy silicone ones, or a purse looking foldable wallet thing.
Investigating generic bags etc for phones, or sleeves, but ya, someone needs to make a nice thick protected one that can actually handle drops.
Still awaiting my delivery of my Rugged case and Screen Protector email just saying its shipped like 15mins ago. Will give some feedback once I have them. I bought them mainly to prevent cosmetic damage to the phone from scuffs or dirt or a table when i put it down at a pub or somewhere public where I know it maybe not clean and something to keep the camera lens off the surface. so hope it manages that.
Just received my Razer Accessories moments ago:
Thin Case:
Perfect for minimal protection.
The cutouts, for the power & volume buttons, are a big welcome, especially for the power button.
1) Makes for ease of locating the buttons by feel.
2) Cutouts give an edge/lip, for your finger/thumb to rest while holding the phone with a more relaxed grip.
3) The edges are raised enough to allow for the phone to be placed face-down on a flat surface w/o any worries.
Some may wish for a bit more protection, notably @ the top & bottom, which is fully exposed. I'm pleased with the design as-is, those wanting the mentioned additional protection may want to give the OEM Razer rugged case a look.
Hammerhead USB-C earbuds:
1) Sound quality is good, hard for me to nail down, I'm not an audiophile, but, I feel safe in recommending them (FWIW they also work on my Note FE & Sony Xperia XZP, YMMV on other phones).
2) The volume rocker is nice, it's a true rocker, akin to a wall switch toggle, no searching by feel for tiny dots/arrows.
3) The earbuds are magnetized, to stick to each other while wearing not in-service, a nice touch to prevent losing & and a perfect solution to leave the carrying case at home (more on that later, )
I could do without the nuclear glow-in-the-dark LED-lit snake logo on each ear bud.
I would not have ordered these if I'd known about the glowing logos, but, it's not worth the bother of an RMA refund for me.
May try to black it out w/a permanent marker..
The provided travel pouch is nice, has a small loop for clipping/tethering to whatever.
The overall size of the travel case is not for the yoga pants/skinny-jean crowds, , of which I'm neither, perfectly acceptable for cargo pants/backpacks/etc....
Back to the more meaningful stuff regarding the audio:
As I stated, I'm not an audiophile, but, when using these with the built-in Dolby Atmos, making any adjustments to the settings seems to make no difference in sound quality whatsoever. Compared with another equalizer app & the difference is night & day, along with adjustments in the other equalizer making a difference in sound quality.
Razer/Dolby definitely has their work cut out for them, perhaps the latest update not only muted the external speakers overall volume, but, has broke Dolby Atmos in process.....
Summary:
Would I recommend the thin case:
Absolutely, however, as the name implies, minimal protection is the theme. Those wanting more protection would probably be better served with the Orzly line up ATM, at least until more mfgs step up to the plate.
The USB-C earbuds:
Yes,if for no other reason, you don't wanna chance other mfgs USB-C earbuds not working on this phone. Otherwise, save your money & use your earbuds of choice with the provided dongle.
I actually like the earbuds, especially the volume rocker, but, the neon logo on the earbuds temper my enthusiasm a bit.
Guess I'll grow my hair out a bit more & this point is moot....

DIY Case Project, 3rd Party Case & Samsung Keyboard

Hello,
Currently I've seen no 3rd party cases which are compatible with the Samsung Keyboard Case (keyboard part, I'd be replacing the magnetic back for something sturdier), so it seems I will need to do this as a DIY project. My plan was to cut away the bottom structure of the 3rd party case to expose the pogo pins, and leave the rest intact for better edge protection.
I have two cases in mind, please see links below. My concern for the first case is that the bevels are too high, and for the second, that the kickstand is raised a bit towards the back. Any additional case suggestions are welcome.
My other questions are regarding "flipping back" the Samsung keyboard when using it tablet mode, while it is still attached, and if anyone has any experience with a project like this. I mainly use the tablet during work (I work at a hospital) and am either in our hospital software in tablet mode (holding it in my hand vertically), or sitting at a desk using it in keyboard mode. Ideally I'd like to find a situation where I can keep the keyboard attached at all times for ease of portability and use.

I did this exact thing, bought a clear case, cut the bottom off. Except instead of using the back I bought one of these. It works as a stand and a hand holder.
