Hi All,
I really love this phone, finally I feel like I don't need to compromise for a first time ever. However I found the vibrating really weak for incoming calls and notifications. I thought that the hardware can't do more, but today I was fooling around with the Fluid Navigation Gestures app and tested the haptic feedback on maximum strength, it was much stronger than the system default. Is there any way to modify the system settings? Or any modding for it?
Am I alone with this desire? I don't even feel the incoming calls and messages when my phone is in vibrating mode and placed in my pocket.
Thanks all
yes vibration feedback is weak and sadly unadjustable

I've been searching for an answer to this for the past week or so and can't seem to find any answer.
Is there a way to edit a system file to have a custom vibration pattern for all notifications?
I don't mean just Gmail, SMS, etc which I know is possible, I mean everything. I'm coming from an iPhone 4 and it was pretty easy to edit 1 of the files to put in a custom vibration pattern, but the SGS2 is my first Android phone and I've no clue how to do it.
This would be a nice feature since the vibrate on the SGS2 is pretty weak.
Tasker lets you design your own vibration patterns.
Thanks, looking for a way to do this
I dont think it would increase the strength of the vibrations
I used to use s.e. W810, recently switched to xperia mini. Everything is pretty nice but the vibration level. It's barely sensible. When I have my phone in my jean pocket switched to silent mode, I feel nothing and when I check it to see whether there is any notification, usually I got ,say, 3 messages and 2 missing call
So, it's obvious that I don't feel the vibration. Searched a little about it, but neither could find anyone suffers from that problem like I do nor a solution to increase vibration level. However thought that maybe by reaching the phone's system files that can be feasible. So, is it possible to do that, if so, how ?
Thanks in advance.
I've not had a problem with it, but there are also apps to allow you to make your own vibration patterns. So maybe something with a bit more stop/start would help?

Thanks for your suggestion but the problem is not the pattern but the level of the vibration definitely. I compared it with other phones and it's really not that high like old phones.
Go sms pro can help you define how many miliseconds the vibration for a notification for a new text should last. haven't used any app which can do the same for incoming calls, but it should exist somewhere in the market!
Actually what I'm looking for is to be able to increase the power of the motor inside the phone which creates those vibrations. This is adjustable for sure, cause for instance as typing it vibrates very slowly. So, by playing with codes they can be achieved, at least as theoretically
Are you guys also feeling vibration intensity of POCO especially in silent mode is too law to even notice ?
Anyway to improve it ?
The vibration is a little weak
I don't know if you can modify the strength, but certainly apps like Good Vibrations from Google Play can allow you to introduce a pattern which can call your attention more effectively

I think custom kernel will take care if low vibrating intensity (hopefully)

This might be a good way to wreck the vibration motor
No problems with the vibration, a lot better than previously used Mi A2
Often get many messages and notifications that go noticed as the vibration is very weak. Is there anyway to adjust the intensity?
I really wish there as a way, it's pathetic. I don't think I've managed to notice a single call when I'm walking... I think I might have to switch phones because of this. I've managed to work out almost everything else to be how I want it, but even with root (which I don't have yet), I can't see a way around this one. There are some apps that change vibration pattern and those might help but intensity is a no go I think... Oh well, love the phone so a bit gutted to be honest...
Z2 is pretty old and the Vibro motor gets really weak. What used to be a solid vibration now sounds like a dying droid short of "breath". Is there a way to disable the start-up/shut-down vibrating and all other system haptic feedback? I don't mean the vibration options that can be handled in app and system settings. Found this article but I am not sure which system app to use.
My bootloader is unlocked. No root.
