I am getting an error text in Chinese, which I can't read nor understand. Can anyone help me out here?
What happened is I unlock the bootloader then flashed new PIE Beta. But stupidly enough I didn't notice that the re-lock option was enabled. Now here I am, unable to unlock the bootloader.

And I'm locked ever since....above is the link to my sad story where i end up re-locking my bootloader and not able to figure out how to get it unlocked again!
I even ended up deleting my old account leaving with an obsolete sim card number to which i can't even add any more mi accounts!
So i had created a new one(mi account)...reset my poco, added the new account, associated the device with the new account, tried unlocking from the mi unlocker....no luck...it was 72 hrs of relentless waiting followed by disappointment.
I'm now on stock v8.11.15 and the most i could do to relieve myself of the crappy mi bloatware is to hide the apps i despise..such as mi video, music, google play music, movies...etc from the launcher.
Still i haven't lost hope...i had created an mi account from a friend's sim card and I'm yet to slap it in my phone n try the new account.
Let's hope for the best.

Did ur unlock process stop at 99 if yes then Enable mi cloud, sync a few small items , enable find device and once sync is complete u will be able to unlock with the same sim.

Hey everyone, I've searched thru the forum looking to see if someone had the same issues I did, and the stellar assistance that was given to others with various problems, I'm hoping that I can get the same (haven't seen anyone with my particular issues yet).
As mentioned in the title, I'm using a stock T-Mobile Amaze, unlocked and I'm using it in Barbados. A few weeks ago, a notification popped up on my phone.

Naturally, I was curious to see what this update was, but after ensuring that everything that was required for the update was in place, I see this...
...which I'm sure means there's some error in installing the update. The phone freezes, and I can't get out of this without doing a battery pull a la blackberry. This is issue 1.
Issue 2 is that a lot of my menus have wrong names, e.g. the 1 for Wireless connections says "Turn It On"
and even the options within the menus are wrong, e.g. In the display menu, to set the screen brightness, that option is entitled "Set A PIN code to lock your UIM Card"
Further to these, often when I try to access many of my settings, the whole shebang crashes, and asks me about sending an error report. Til now, nothing has changed in that regard. Any assistance to these problems would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Your best bet is just to do a master reset on the phone. It should clear up all those issues.
tried it...didn't work (well, the menus still are screwed up, and the settings keep crashing when i try to access some of them, like the Sound menu.)

Have you tried locking your bootloader and flashing the stock firmware?
You already unlocked your bootloader, right?
Just flash a custom rom.
If you REALLY want to flash the 1.43 update then relock your bootloader and flash this: http://goo.gl/KvHzj
Rename it to PH85IMG.zip and store it on the root of your sdcard.
It will update everything.
Then unlock your bootloader again, reroot and you'll be good.
I've just purchased a Xperia X with FW 34.0.A.2.292 installed. I'd like to root thid device and found instructions on this thread . I've downloaded the kernel file, successfully installed all required ADB Drivers from here and followed the instructions. Unfortunately i allways get the following error message:

I've also tried to use flashtool but get the same error message in flashtool.
Any ideas how to proceed?
allow OEM unlock option under development options
Thanks, i have no OEM unlock option allowed, still getting the same error message. Does this require an unlocked bootloader?

yes it does
Ah OK. What's the best way to backup the Xperia DRM keys before unlocking the bootloader, and how to restore them afterwards?
it's currently not possible to backup DRM-keys so you will lose them. there are kernels with DRM-fix which will restore the lost functions after unlocking
i got a problem, checked OEM unlock, deactive my xperia function, but bootloader status still "not allow", idk but when i deactive "my xperia" its not need to use my google account(not like my other Z4), i thing cause of its so bootloader cant be turned : yes

Did you buy your Xperia sim-unlocked? If not, it probably comes locked by carrier and this won't let you to unlock the bootloader.
Let me start by saying I am not rooted no twrp just plain stock , with locked bootloader. Also EU version.(V12.0.8.0.QJGEUXM)
A few months ago I downloaded the Android 11 Rom V12.0.6.0.RJGEUXM through the phone even though I am not on any trial program.
It installed easily on my phone , some people have had to use other methods...so I read.
Anyhow , I thought it was way too buggy and needed to downgrade.( Even after the the 2 other upgrades to V12.0.7.0.RJGEUXM. This is what I did to rollback if someone else is in the same boat.
I had to wait 3 days to unlock my bootloader,
Then I used the MiTool to select the ROM I wanted.
The problem then is the bootloader is still unlocked after you flash the new ROM, you need to use ADB command " OEM lock" to relock then phone , it should erase everything then go back stock. I am still learning with this Xiaomi device so I had to learn this from different sources and hope it helps somebody else out.
Soz if this is common knowledge or wrong part of forum!
thanks for the info but why did you downgrade did android 11 lags the phone or what

1) WiFi issues and random reboots, when the phone booted (on its own accord) on reboot the wi fi took quite a few minutes ( over 5 minutes sometimes longer) to get back online.
2) The speaker volume seemed too quiet for video and calls.(on at full volume most of the time).
3) Not so polished, sometimes would be a bit laggy other times not.
At the minute Android 11 for the Poco is still Beta, I am sure these problems will get resolved. The moral of story ... Wait for OTA instead of forcing updates.
i used xiaomi flash tool to flash fastboot rom and selected this to keep unlocked bootloader

Hi all.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my 8 Flip but am having a couple of issues. First one is that there's no "OEM Unlock" option in my Dev settings. I've tried running the official unlock tool anyay, and it errors out saying "Failed to unlock your device, please try again later.[11006]"
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Solved it - Just had to turn wifi off and use mobile data and it worked
My friend has an error code when unlocking the Bootloader. Do you know why?

To root the phone
where did you buy the phone? Some vendors sell phones that cannot be rooted.
You can see it with the app CPU-Z in System section if you see bootloader : no, you can't root
I was just about to unlock the bootloader to try to dump the recovery.img and use that to create a twrp image.
But there is a big warning saying:
Before you download, install, and use the Unlock Device App (“Service”), you understand that you need to take all risks in terms of quality and performance of the Service, including but not limited to: once you trigger the Service, you’re not able to recover your ASUS products to the original status at the time of manufacturing (“Original Product”) anymore. Original Products which is used with the Service (“Changed Product”) will no longer be regarded as the Original Products. The software updates will not be available to the Changed Product, and the digital content in the Changed Product may no longer be used. (...)

Does this mean I would not get security updates and later the Android 13? I only want to get twrp to be able to root the device. but losing the OS updates would be a big no-no.
Are those who have unlocked it getting updates? Can anyone confirm this?

Probably someone tried to root it and made RMM to change to prenormal. Have you tried checking if RMM/KG is showing prenormal in Download mode?

Can i fix this problem );
Yes, typically the RMM resets after 7 days. There might be a quick fix which I am unsure of, so keep digging on xda.

I just got the Edge Plus (named that here in the US) Same phone as this, and mine is like this too, brand new out of the box like this.
Having the same issue, greyed out OEM unlock button.
Brand new, out of bocx.
Also when I go to the motorola site, it says not eligible to be unlocked, which is bizzare. Its fully unlocked!
My guess is it takes some time for the button to not be grey, according to what I read here.
Still need to try to get the code though from the moto site.
Fairly confident the Oem unlock button will be active in a few days.
Does anyone button greyed out get the Oem unlock code? I can't get that. Fully unlocked device.
ok was able to get the motorola unlock code, about 24 hours after I got the phone. Still, cant get the OEM unlock to toggle. Tried multiple reset options and nothing worked (sim, no sim, wifi, no wifi).
Did a factory reset and it worked!
