Your opinion of LG G2 ROM choise

Hello, tomorrow I will receive my new LG G2 D802.
After a long time of being iOS user ,I want to get back to the Android.
As there are many treads of info and lot of then are out of date.
My question is - what is the best ROM for this moment to LG G2.
I want good battery performance, good camera with manual settings specially manual autofocus during video recording.
So give me your favorite ROM, and why you use it ?
It would be great if someone give me info about rooting and other usefull mods?
thanks ,greetings from Latvia ,
Cheers!
Cloudyg3 best choice for me.its a nice"upgrade" all around of the stock many more features that is very useful and missing in stock.the new design icons..good battery and xcam camera build in and stable..try it its my daily driver for a long time
Don`t get me wrong but this question depends on peoples choices...but i will tell you my opinion:
-if you like slim and pure android experiance with good tweaks i would suggest you latest Ressurection Remix with a slim gapps.(dont expect stock quality camera performance)
-if you want to get stock and rock solid performance with a really good quality camera i would suggest you cloudy g2 2.2 with stock kernel. ( for me only problem with cloudy is too many bloats in it but you can delete them bloats with root explorer and you will be good to go...)
-lately i am testing Miui v6 on g2.its simply amazing rom with really good interface and slick performance. it has all capabilities of stock experiance with a better designed ui,stock camera and tons of theming options.its been few days since its rolled out but it is very stable for daily use.but dont forget it is still in early developement stage.you can find some little bugs.
pure android wont make you %100 happy with its camera performance. i would suggest you to try cloudy g2 2.2. (but you should give miui v6 a try )

I'm in the same position as him. Which one would you suggest for stability and battery? For camera I'm gonna use fv-5 I guess it will take the same picture on all the roms, I also like cm based roms such as blisspop or nightlies, but I want to make sure I have a good battery and stable rom..
CloudyG2 best for me so far.
Quetzal ROM is the best, smooth and stable never found any bugs and you have an iOS status bar

You just got your G2. Give it some time. While testing the stock rom learn about the device and read some guides. Flashing stuff to a device you don't know anything about is the worst. Don't hurry.

check my sig mate for some links
1. Root your D802 with Stump Root
2. Autorec for D802
3. Flash TWRP 2861 by blastagator
4. BACKUP BACKUP
a. EFS
b. Sensor
c. Modem
d. Full Backup (/data /system /boot)
5. Flash your chosen ROM
a. GAPPS
b. SuperSU
Note: read the O.P. of your preffered ROM twice or more 'coz of the Baseband or Bootloader requirements.
Avoid Over Heating your G2 for screen damage (black lines, etc)
good luck!

In the same boat for D802, just did mine to regular cm12. blisspop and ressurection had borked dt2w for me. Cm12 05/08 for me has working dt2w and is very stable and polished, more so than the other 2 imo, but the camera leaves much to be desired. The earlier step by step reply was good but i used the following root then autorec instead (made sense since they were on the same page)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
Both programs work well and are super easy to do, as long as you can set up adb for the root program on that page. the blastagator twrp mentioned earlier is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/twrp-twrp-2-8-0-0-kernel-f2fs-tools-t2898705
only thing you may need to fiddle with is the bootloader/ baseband. (baseband = modem, which took me a while to figure out). stock roms might not need changing but aosp roms like cm need a JB bootloader. e.g. cm12 needed a JB bootloader (autorec flashes a KK one) and either a JB/KK baseband, but this is advice specific to cm. you need to search and figure out what combo. Came from a N4 where this was all super easy, doing it on a g2 is a bit more difficult

Sugest I9300 stable rom for daily use as of 2016.

Hello. I know that this question is asked a million times, but answers to them are already obsolete. Currently am looking ( I am sure I am not the only one) for headache-free, stable and fast ROM as my daily driver. I just want to install a ROM, tweak it a little if I have to and be sure it will work me for another year or so (I am to tired to flash 3rd ROM in a row to see it have major problem).
So if someone would post a brief information about ROM you are using, any custom modification, setting tweaking, flashed custom kernel and potential tradeoffs You The Real MVP.
My experencie with Rom's so far:
Archidroid v3.0.2 (kitkat)
Previously I used as a daily driver which really worked nice for me, until I got infamous "google services stopped worked" which I fixed only by turning google location service (making some cool aps unusable) . Shame, it is the best ROM I tried. The only problem I had was for camera sometimes freezing in black screen, but it happened very rarely.
There was suggestion to re-flash this ROM with flashing never GAPS from OpenGAPS project. Tried, but again got "google services stopped worked". I saw some other workarounds I could try, but I want to be sure there isn't anything better before I try it.
Archidroid v3.1.5 (Lolipop)
Based on lollipop, everything works reliably, BUT much slower then on Kitkat version. Though strangely, decreasing dpi to 240 improved performance dramatically. Many users agree that 3.0.2 is still the better one.
Cyanogenmod-13 (Marshmallow)
Looks promising, fast out of the box with some interesting features. However still buggy (torch not working on lock screen, chrome/ radio crashes phone and so on).
So far as I understand best ROM's are based on Kitkat - Lollipop and Marshmallow needs more ram to run effectively then s3 has. So even some developers suggest sticking to older Android versions. I also heard Boeffla kernel is the best one though I didn't try it personally. What makes it so special ?
Try Liquid Smooth KK rom with boeffla kernel
CyanogenMod 11
Hello,
if you want a stable and battery save ROM, I would prefer CyanogenMod 11 Nightly!

Heh, thanks. I actually flashed cyanogenmod 11 stable and indeed, its stable as it should. Was some problems flashing OpenGAPS but managed to fix flashing version without Aroma installer.
Could anyone tell more about boeffla kernel? What is so special about it ? I know that I can tweek some settings, but I am not going to trade stability for +100 benchmark points.

I use boeffla on all roms because of boeffla sound tweaks and easy zram setup.
Best rom is pacman kk rom, all features in one, bugless...
If u need i will send u gapps that i used before on that rom and worked great.
Only thing it doesnt work, like on all kk, lp and probably mm is noise supression for viber/whatsapp calls. I tried all kk, most lp roms, tried everything to enable ns for voip but it could not be enabled.
Touch wiz rom i recommend is ncsrom, most lightweight rom, fast and stable, made with boeffla kernel...

What is the best for redmi note 4 Miui or custome roms

I tried all found that MIUI is more stable than other Rom. RR and lineage have some bugs. I didnt found any on MIUI. What are your thoughts guys.
Maybe the best of the two worlds? A custom ROM based on MIUI?
My next try will be surely the Mi-globe ROM, where you can also choose the components to be included.
I prefer custom rom.
Using AOSP Extended and it's nice.
Give it a try.
Custom rom will have some bugs that's main issue. If I wanna use rom for daily driver it should be bug free. So Native roms of device are better than custom ones. It can be used by rooting and doing tweaks to official roms.
I'm having issue with gps while using MIUI. Maybe it's just my phone.
Haven't try custom MIUI.
Currently I'm using Slim rom because I prefer stock Android experience. No issue with gps.
dude seriously!!! Custom Roms Like Aex/Rr are officially Fully Stable no Bug On Em.. only minor Bugs Which are negligible so If u want to try ill recommend Aex Which is fully stable and u can use it as daily driver without any problem and battery backup is same on all rom it depends on ur usages.

I will give it a try Aex( I tried MIUI 9 china beta ,lineage OS and Rr)
I guess it depends on the end user. I mean, I have used MIUI, COOL UI, Zen UI etc. I would say, every ROM is good in their own. I personally prefer stock ROM. One of the reason for me is that Custom ROM (Cool UI on Coolpad Note 5) sometimes creates laggy experience.
The main thing that I didn't like in MIUI is some of the cool notification things that are present in Stock Android. That's why I switched to Lineage, Resurrection Remix, and finally on AOSP Extended.

Which rom/kernel should I use ?

Hello everyone, I was asking myself which rom and kernel should I use in order to:
-Get the best performance ?
-Get the best screen on time ?
-Get something balanced between performance and screen on time ?
There are so many custom roms and kernels for this phone, I can't try them all.
Thanks in advance.
USE PIXEL EXPERIENCE ROM WITH Sphinx Kernel - v1.8.7 by milouk
I have tried LOS, PE, NOS, Omni, AOSIP and AEX. But trust me, nothing is as fast and smooth as miui. But I hate miui for tons of system apps. So, the solution is miui eu ROM. Try it once and you will be amazed to discover a new miui without any bloatware and blazing fast performance. And just to let you know that none of the custom ROMs have IR camera driver and hence face unlock doesn't work as miui. Moreover, almost all custom ROMs and kernels have battery % drop issue on reboots. However, miui eu doesn't have any such issue. So, you may consider trying miui eu after trying all custom ROMs to see the difference or else different people may tell you different stories.

Who is the best rom for this phone right now?

well, i have stock eui on my phone and is good but, i want the best rom, i dont care about android version, just i need a good rom with a good performance, battery life and no bugs, so guys
HELP PLS:laugh:
