Hi, I'm pretty new to the android scene, I've looked for a few days if there is a possible way to unlock bootloader on an Xperia M4 Aqua 2306, the issue is my phone has Bootloader unlock allowed = No and didn't actually find if there is an actual way to do this.
Found a few threads talking about how to unlock the bootloader but it seems from some posts that it's not possible to unlock, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure it if there is any possibility to unlock since my phone is quite slow and would love to breath some life to it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

the onli way i was able to root my 2306 was to downgrade with flashtool to lolipop the vertion 26.1.A.1.112 ...the onli one old enough to root with kingroot the onli app i found to root lolipop ....but then none of the tutorial i read got me back to the last update without loosing root and aving to deal with the 100 of preinstalled app .....tryed to let it at lolipop but the phone is now extremly sloooooow
was able to get to recovery but then after looking at all custom rom .....they all need to be install with fastboot and they all stated that you need unlock bootloader so i stop trying the phone is not realy worth it anyway

well, you should know that finding an unofficial way of unlocking the bootloader takes a huge amount time and work.
i donĀ“t think that the devs will look for an other way to unlock the bootloader while there is an official way.
Hi guys, first off, I'd like to apologise if this is not the right place for this thread- feel free to move it to the right place if so!
Secondly, I'd like to ask if there's a method for unlocking a bootloader that is locked... do I need to unlock the tablet from the EE carrier first? Or is there another method of doing so?
I tried to root the device for hours on end and nothing managed to work at all!
Any help at all would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Amro

if you have an operator market device, 99% you will not be able to unlock your bootloader.
You can look in Service Menu if your device bootloader is unlockable.
But even if it is not, you can root your device easily, just look for instructions on XDA.
The only thing you won't be able to do with unlockable bootloader is install custom (e.g. CM, FXP) firmwares on your device.
Hello guys,
I search on the forum but didn't find the answer for the Z5C.
I just want to know if today, can we root the phone without unlocking the bootloader ?
I mean by that, if it possible to get the root and not lost the DRM Key or other stuff like the quality of the camera ?
Maybe can I use a pre rooted rom with flashtool to get the root and no unlocking my bootloader ?
Thank you guys for answering me
LEthien.

No, never. Z5c is identical to Z5 and Z5P regarding base hardware and software. Sorry, but you did not search enough, 1000th post like this.
I have a smartron tphone model t5511 and I've tried almost everything to root but with no luck yet.
Is possible that someone here know how and please can he share it with.
When I bought it the first thing came to my mind is in installing a custom ROM but sadly no ROM for it so now my aim is for rooting it.
Have you used Kingoroot?
What's your Android version?
Have you unlocked your bootloader?
Best of luck
Not even able to unlock bootloader
After doing little digging in , found few things about unlocking bootloader , rooting and flashing some root apps.. but our beloved device seems to be under the shackles of oem. Rooting and installing system apps comes with a price, u cannot update if there is any system updates from oem.
Created this thread hoping that someone can find some way of breaking these shackles. Anyone who knows a way of rooting and installing system apps without breaking system updates from oem, please share your ideas here.. I've been a long time flashaholic and this is what I used to do with my previous phone which is OnePlus one.
Unlock bootloader, root, install few root apps that I like such as viper 4 android. And when there is new ota updates from oem I'll flash stock firmware which will remove root so that I can update the phone with oem ota, after that I'll root again..
This seems to be impossible here.. if someone have some ideas please share..
Ps. If someone feels like this thread is unnecessary pls feel free to do the needful. Thanks.
Found this new nokia flash tool and steps with download links for stock roms.. could someone let me know if this is legit ? I'm pasting the website link here so that people can check that, pls forgive me if it's not allowed

Tried this myself and found that the fastboot for our device doesn't recognise the bootloader unlocking fastboot commands.. also found in few posts that earlier we were able to unlock bootloader in some old firmware and after that it was disabled by hmd.. I didn't want to go to some old firmware to do this, need to find a way to do this from Android 10. will keep trying to find more and update here.. I think we a need to wait till hmd decides to allow is to unlock bootloader.. meanwhile if someone else found something pls so share here.. thanks.

Definitely legit, he is the main developer for our device.
You are correct on the bootloader.
You need to be on earlier Android 9.0 firmware, I think Ver. 331 (not positive) or earlier. To be able to unlock bootloader. If you can figure a way to downgrade, then you can do it.
That is the current roadblock.
Once you have the bootloader unlocked it will stay unlocked.
You can then accept updates and or flash custom ROMs as you wish.
Can't offer a fix, but hope the information helps.
Now we don't need for downgrading to Android 9. XDA Senior @singhnsk has discovered a way to unlock the bootloader while on Android 10. You can reach him for remote unlock method (paid). It takes only around 15 mins.
Edit: Now the devs has released an unlocking method for Nokia 7.2 & 6.2 which is completely free and can be done by yourself!
Check out the thread here for free unlocking guide!
