Hi Joygram,
I have created a Fork for the E-Ink launcher. I want to add new features, as enter new "pages" like Twitter, Calendar, etc.
Do you know how we can change the LockScreen on the e-ink screen ?

dot42 is open source Xamarin alternative. You can create Android app using c#. You can grab latest stable version from official repository https://github.com/dot42/dot42. But developer Olaf Pettersen created many fixes and improvements on it own repository https://github.com/ninjasync/dot42. So I forked it, made some fixes, compiled and generated setup from Olaf repository. You can download it from my gdrive https://goo.gl/jxAHgF
Olaf ported some libraries to work with dot42: MVVM Cross, JSON .NET, OxyPlot etc. Check his repository.

I made an m3u playlist with all the greek channels and I decided that I should make an android application. Since I am not a java programmer and I have never worked with android development I found that githubcom/AlexanderSofronov/iptv.example and it was perfect for me.
I download the zip and extract the containing folder in my desktop. I have edited the MainActivity.java folder and add an m3u location and also changed the layncher icons. Can you tell me what to do next in order to make it an apk?
I'm looking for a Android studio emulator engineering GSI build so I can develop (debug) system apps that use android:sharedUserId="android.uid.system" on the manifest. Where can I download them and how do I create a AVD to be used in android studio ? I'm looking for Android 8 or 9.

All I did was Google "Android studio emulator engineering GSI" as reflected on the following link...

... and the very first result was to the following link...

... and if you go to that link, and scroll down a bit, you'll see the category "Downloading GSIs" that provides you with what your looking for.
If it's not on that page, then it's not available (yet) but, It looks like it is available.

I had already looked at that page but the information is confusing. There's a page containing various userdebug builds for download for android pie:

There are three types of builds: eng, userdebug, and user; I'm looking for the eng type, which uses the platform test keys.
The other problem, is that if you follow one of the links you'll land on a artifacts page containing many files that can only be downloaded one by one: https://ci.android.com/builds/submitted/5467499/aosp_arm64-userdebug/latest/
I haven't found an engineering build, only userdebug and I have no ideia on how to download all the files in the artifacts page, but the main problem is that I found no instructions on how to setup an AVD that can be used on Android Studio and Windows 10.

Hmm... I've never, personally, looked into this using this type/specific avenue before myself.
I'm just thinking that, maybe/possibly, either @Qui Peccavit, @Droidriven or even @osm0sis may be able to provide a better answer/guidance to help you out with this.

I think that userdebug builds built by ci.android.com are signed with AOSP test keys, so that's good enough for you?
I don't really know how to plug in Android Studio with it though, but I heard it's quite easy
@phhusson, I just confirmed that a userdebug build uses the platform test keys; I unpacked a system.img from a userdebug build, checked the SystemUI.apk certificate, using keytool -printcert and the SHA1 is: 27:19:6E:38:6B:87:5E:76:AD:F7:00:E7:EA:84:E4:C6:EE:E3:3D:FA (the sha1 from the google platform test keys)
So...all I need to know is, using these files: https://ci.android.com/builds/submitted/5467499/aosp_arm64-userdebug/latest/
How do I create a AVD that I can use on Android Studio in Windows ? Any ideias?
@phhusson, you were right: its easy to get a userdebug build signed with AOSP test keys, they are available for download on Android Studio in the AVD manager section:
Go to Tools > AVD Manager > + Create Virtual Device > Select Phone, Nexus 5X > Next > Select X86 Images > Select Pie, Api Level 28, ABI x86_64, Target Android 9.0. > Next, etc, download and install.
All builds signed with AOSP test keys are identified by having a target name of Android 9.0, Android 8.1, etc. If you select an image, look at the panel on the right; it should say Android Open Source Project, etc.
All of the other builds of target user are identified with Target "Android 9.0 (Google APi's)" or "Android 9.0 (Google Play)", etc, and those are signed with dev keys, not test keys.

Due to the lockdown in my country I have to stay home. What a better way to do this than working on a project right ?
The idea is to create a simple launcher with the basic functionnality :
having an app drawer
home screen with dock
possibility to create folder on homescreen
possibility to remove app / folder from homescreen
bonus : possibility to add icon pack
You see, very basic as I said.
I started from scratch, but yesterday I asked on Lawnchair's community telegram and someone talked to me about Launcher3.
I didn't know this launcher and I discovered that a lot of launcher are based on Launcher3, they are all a fork from it.
This motivate me to do a fork to.
But I have a lot of problems to build the launcher itself. I clone the project, open it with Android Studio and I have errors from gradle, when I fix them I have other errors. I think I'm doing wrong but I searched online and I don't find any ressources that can help to start this project or give me clues to understand better.
I am a beginner in Android dev, but trust me I have a really strong motivation I don't want to hear "This is to difficult for you mate, try something else"

Based on our previous experience, may be has fllow steps:
1.you need a aosp source(or you already have other rom code choose, it's ok), and build it;
2.get the framework.jar from the out path intermediates (for launcher3 has many class only system framework contain);
3.copy launcher3 code from aosp source to your owner path, and make an Android studio project;
4.copy the second step framework.jar to the launcher3 Android studio project(you can put it under app/libs/) and just compileOnly the framework.jar(we just need to declare some system class for compile, finally when the app work it still base on different devices owner framework in the system);
5.add flowing code in you build.gradle:
gradle.projectsEvaluated {
tasks.withType(JavaCompile) {
options.compilerArgs << '-Xbootclasspath/p:libs/framework.jar'
}
}
6.if you have a some v7 package implements may be some time will show you some <attr> conflict, like <attr name="icon"> conflict, just change it to <attr name="icon" format="string"> is ok.
Under normal conditions,above steps can help you to make your launcher3 project work well in AS, and also you can compare some open source in github, there has some launcher3 AS project. hope to work for you, if not work for you, you can show the error message you meet more detail, may be we can help to found out the problem
Bro I think you can use jadx decompiler and any working laucher3 to show their source code. Learn from it how the stuffs work. Then start a new project from scratch in Android Studio.. Modify for your own needs.

I open the folder Launcher3 (from which I cloned) and AS ask me for gradle location ...

Hi all,
I'm working on a port of Android 11 (AOSP) for the OnePlus 5. The ROM works pretty well, but I'm having issues with the Google Apps. In particular, the Google Wellbeing is not working and it is crashing with the log attached when started.
I've already spent a lot of hours trying to understand why: it works fine on LineageOS but there is no particular commit for Wellbeing, and everything seems the same from a permissions point of view.
Is this the right place to ask for help?

SettingsExtra: do not declare REQUEST_LISTENING as protected · roberto-sartori-gl/[email protected]
This fix Wellbeing not working on Android 11. SettingsExtra does not need this, it was a leftover from development. Signed-off-by: Roberto Sartori <[email protected]>
