Yes it is possible. Just do clean flash the device using Flashtool and flash the desired custom ROM.

Well, I first installed the Lollipop .kdz from the LG Firmware website. So, should I flash back to KitKat so then I can flash the new ROM or I can flash the ROM directly from my current version?
And another question, what is the better Lollipop ROM? By better I mean like performance, battery life, multitasking.
Btw, I'm new with this so sorry
I have a D618.
Thanks.

1- to flash kitkat officiel ROM just flash kdz to flash a custom rom you have to back to stock kitkat and root unlock boot loader and flash TWRP or flash the kitkat bootstack and custom rom from stock lollipop
2- everyone have his best lollipop custom rom but for me i prefere CM12.1 with nikita's extendedKernel :good:
i am posting this, because not found an appropriate answer
i want to know is there a possibility to downgrade to lollipop from marshmallow without Bricking/harming the device.
i am on cm12.1 currently.
now i am gonna install cm13 and blisspop 6.0 rom, to give them a try.
1. can i revert back to cm12.1 from cm13 or blisspop 6.0
2. is there any bricking chances in downgrading from marshmallow to lollipop like lollipop to kitkat?
3. can i able to restore my official lollipop stock rom LPC 23.13-34.8 twrp backup after installing cm13/blisspop 6.0 without bricking device??
Yes there's no chance of bricking.
Hey everyone!
I just rooted my phone. Now I want to install a custom rom. I'm on stable miui rom 8.2.10 which is built on android marshmallow.
My question is, can I install a custom rom now, for example LineageOS 14 which is based on android nougat?
Thanks in advance
Greetings Benjamin

Yes u can. Install TWRP recovery first then the firmware (since u r on marshmallow u need nougat firmware), then which ever rom u prefer.

For installation of custom rom you need the following
device
unlocked bootloader
custom recovery like twrp
rom package , gapps , other stuff like root addon , volume mod , sound mod etc
working brain :silly:
patience:silly:
Now let me answer you . Download your desired rom package for your device . And simply flash the rom and other stuff through twrp . The rom installation process may vary a little bit but the standard process is to BOOT TO TWRP
WIPE SYSTEM ,CACHE/ DALVIK, DATA
FLASH THE DESIRED ROM + GAPPS(OPTIONAL) + OTHER STUFF ( OPTIONAL )
and now finally reboot to system . Voila you are good to go . Hope you got what you asked . Thank you
Edit : didn't saw the above Post
Yes you need to flash firmware before rom
Thank you guys!

Hello,
My question is, it is possible to have a stock rom with 4.4.2 and make out of them a custom rom with android 5.x or 6.x or higher?
