Is there a shortcut way to enable wireless reverse charging?
I was surprised to find out that this feature is not toggleable from the quick settings menu..
is there any workaround? or something else?
You can long press the ultra powersaving icon in the pulldown menu.
True, better than nothing, thanks!
If anyone finds a shorter way feel free to share
Why can't you leave it on all the time?
Haven't received mine yet so i can't test.
I thought so too before I got it..

I've heard it's because it will slowly drain the phone. Wireless charging works a bit differently than the og way.

I noticed that when the Photon is docked in the HD station, if the screen should come on for any reason whether it be a message or anything else, it seems to stay on forever despite the fact that I have the screen set to shut off after 2 minutes in settings/display. Is there any way to change this behavior? Because I like using the dock as my charger but don't think I will if this behavior can't be changed.

Closest option to what you said is stay awake. Just checked and it is unchecked.
Can anyone figure this out?
It's actually enabled in the framework, if you want to disble that, you will have to modify the framework-res.apk
lol "Where is Cleveland?" "Oh, actually, that's in the milkey way." Can you narrow that down a little please?
I got a few "issues"
Why don't swype work everywhere?
Why doesn't facebook sync all pictures on contacts. (Yes I have haxsync, but this one doesnt sync all pictures either)
Where can I get a proper keyboard?
Why does typing on the keyboard auto-highlight, the 2nd proposed word, not the first one?
I can't for the life of me get screenshot with my hand done. Yes its enabled in motion.
Can you change the weather on lockscreen?
My phone gets VERY arm if I use it for a length of time.
Battery usage is very poor. Tips without the obvious turn down screen, turn of 3g/wifi/sync.

Care to elaborate? Mother nature controls the weather so I guess you mean either the weather widget or background image.

It's normal depending on your usage. It packs a lot of horsepower and high performance equals higher temperature. But as long as it's warm and not hot everything is fine.

Depends on your usage scenario. Battery is usually drain by the combination of Sync and 3G. You need to either disable sync or go back to 2G.
The paid app 'Juicedefender beta' can do either of both (or the combination) automatically for you, I let it go back to 2G when not needed. Battery life is roughly doubled with this feature. (Requires root tough)

Swype is only working when you write messages, not in every other input box you have on the phone.
I'm coming from SG1, and there Swype worked everywhere.

Yes, I've done all that, watched youtube videos in case I did something wrong. Nothing is happening.
I do manage to do screenshots with buttons however, so I thought maybe there was something I was missing, or maybe the gesture don't work all the time.

Its so warm its very uncomfortable just holding it. I thought maybe there was something wrong with phone/battery.
Ill compare it to other collegues and see if its only my model.

Get SwiftKey 3,it's super!
Or swype beta from their website.. Works everywhere.
Press power+home for screenshot.. Keep them hold like 2 seconds.
Download widgetlocker and put whatever widget you want on the lock screen
Get betterbatterystats from xda and check wake locks.
Does it get warm when using 3g data like browsing? Or do you mean gaming?

For the first 2 here, I still haven't foudn out how to do this...
You know, in the Settings/Power you could set Economy/Power Saver mode. All that is gone in ICS. As if the battery life isnt already bad .... Any alternatives?
HTC hid them.
Try the free ap called hidden settings
good luck

Thanks man. Much appreciated. I think their so called reasons for hiding sound bullish. Confusing the end user? Really? If it confuses people that much, then dont go into the power saver menu...or get an iphone... :/ .......Right

You can also use Minimalistic Text to create a widget that links to the power saving settings. Unfortunately the settings don't work as my wifi would never turn back on after waking the phone, I had to constantly restart my wifi everytime I picked up the phone. And the settings there are minimal, not like before where you had more choices. I had to reverse all the settings then uninstalled the app, it never helped save any battery at all.

Those settings only take effect when the battery drops below some (unknown) per cent. At least, that is my understanding.
Yea, I don't see an area where I can set a percentage to which power saver options activate... What gives HTC? Stupid to get rid of that feature even if I never really needed to use it tell now.

Speaking of power saving, does anyone else notice that since ICS, the backlight does not return to normal brightness after exiting camera application? You have to turn the screen off via the top button then back on to return to normal brightness.

I find the low power warning comes when the battery drops to 14%
Supposedly this is when the hidden power saving settings get implemented.
Yes, it would be nice to be able to change the 14% to be some other value, perhaps 30%

Yeah, I had mine set to 20% before the update. This hidden menu doesnt even have the option to set exactly when the power saver settings kick in...........No....I will never move to iphone. Not in a million years. But come on Android, stop downgrading your OS for cripes sake..geeez
1. Follow this thread and enable full display: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guide-hide-navigation-bar-status-bar-app-t3509747
2. Enable force long display in svc menu
3. download fingerprint quick action in playstore to use fingerprint as back and home button
4. if you want more control, download button mapper in playstore, assign volume down button hold for recents, and volume up button hold for toggle notification
sadly battery drain is an issue
enjoying full screen is the best, i wish phone manufactures enable some buttons at the back, imagine a near bezel less display fully utilized

very well jugdement there, so I've been only using it for 3-4 hours this morning (in cluding standby time), android system takes up to 4% (normally its around 5-6% at the end of the day). I'll however keep this hidden navigation bar till the end of the day. I'll update soon
So there you go, it does drain some serious battery there. Very sad :crying:

Will look about adb for immersive mode when I have time.

I immediately put everything back to normal haha. Well if you are OK with battery drain, you should forever have it that way cause the screen is just so pleasant to stare at
I have tried the Nexus P thread way to hide the navigation bar (except for YouTube and whatsapp) and then use xda LMT 2.8 pie app and it is working great for me, without extra drain as of today.
I turned each app into 18:9.

Found this setting under the hood, don't think it does anything on this phone but was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
It won't change anything as 120hz is hardware based.
yup that's what I figured. didn't know for sure though as this phone shares a lot of features from the flagship lines (45w fast charging and hdr10+, for instance) . didn't know if the soc/screen supported it even though it wasn't available to change in the settings interface.

It's the digitizer frequency, not the screen refresh rate
I would advice you to turn that on as it improves the response time and overral smothness
