Hi,
I'm trying to configure the app "should I answer" on my MIUI 10, but there is no way to have it working. It simply doesn't display it's popup window when I get a call. I've already enable the autostart, disabled the battery optimizations, enable any possible permissions for the app but still it doesn't want to work. Was someone able to get it working? Btw I think that also similar apps, like truecaller, can have the same problem.

Hi,
I installed the skyvi and not found very attractive so i delete it from my S2 Galaxy. But strange thing happened after that now i touch/press any button or perform any task Skyvi voice elaborate what i performed. Means when i touch launcher , she mentioned launcher. When i touched messages she mentioned simply what i performed and touch anything.
I want to get rid of this, For now i just lower down the volume of Media. I have already deleted the skyvi. Please help to correct this behavior. Is there any bug or any option which i have to use.
And other thing when i installed the skyvi and touch the mic option it prompts a message "sorry, your device cannot recognize voices".
All volume options are working fine like music, phone call's , voice talk etc. Thanks
Not really sure what the solution is as I have never heard of Skyvi... but have you tried disabling the services in Settings > Accessibility ?
I posted this on the General forum a couple of days ago - obviously the wrong place since it's been ignored.
So, trying again here, ....
I downloaded the app QuickSpell from MobiSytems.
To use it for everything, I select QuickSpell for the Spell checker in the Android Language & input settings. When I reboot, the setting reverts back to the Android default.
When I choose QuickSpell, I get a warning dialog that says that what I type, including passwords & credit card numbers, may be captured & used for nefarious purposes... OK, not quite that phrase, but basically that gist. I have to select OK in order for the setting to change.
I power down then back up, then look at the Spell checker setting: it's back to the Android default. Something else also resets: the Google voice typing setting re-enables itself. I have no clue about that either.
I've tried disabling the Dictionary Provider app before rebooting... the setting is back to the default. I haven't been able to figure out what generates the warning message, nor if there is any other app that could be disabled to help.
My Nexus 10 is mostly standard: Android 4.2.2 (the latest update), the Nova launcher and Lookout Premium as my security app. I know that that us not the problem, even though it does scan for privacy data access. I've emailed their support & gotten a reply saying that they do not change anything, just do their scans and report the results to let the user decide what to do.
I've emailed MobiSystems support & gotten nothing back but an automated reply.
Any suggestions for what to try to either make the setting sticky, or to track down the culprit so that they can tell me how to make it sticky?
Also, what is the easiest-to-use, best keyboard app for Android systems. I really hate this default one. (QuickSpell does help by learning enough to correct the most obvious of my typing mistakes.... now if it can learn what to do when I hit the N or B keys instead of the space bar so wordsbrunbtogethetnlikebvnthis....)
Thanks for your help!
Becky
I have an app (for monitoring BT connection) which throws up an annoying pop-up notification dialog box, whenever my BT connection gets weak.
Currently I use TASKER to remove the pop-up notification as soon as it shows up.
I was thinking of de-compiling the app, modifying the necessary parts of the app to disable the pop-up notification, then recompile the app back again and re-install.
The trouble is, I do not know where to start looking within the app as I have no previous experience with this (but have lots of coding experience).
Any direction as to where the "pop-up notification" thingy resides in general in an app will be a good starting point for me.
My device (still on 4.3 ) is rooted.
Thanks.
Will the HeadsOff app work?

thanks, but no, I am still on 4.3
When i go to Android Settings -> Security, there is only one setting for secure account or something (a random thing that locks apps and stuff with a 4-digit pin).
I've seen that other Phlips TVs have the unknown sources option.
Also, i've seen somebody getting into a normal AOSP Security Settings screen on the same TV i have (on YouTube).
Can i try am start --user 0 com.android.settings/.SecuritySettings? Or QuickShortcutMaker app to create a shortcut to the security settings? (Those things work on my phone... I guess they should probably work on my TV too)
I just tried the "am start" variant. Nope, doesnt work. The settings is grayed out and locked.
Then i tried using a database editor. Guess what? Access denied.
I dont know what to do anymore.
It works only by switching to User 10, but you cant change back until you do a factory reset and User 10 lags a lot from what people said.
Help me pls.
So I've had some annoyances with my new S9+ that I've never seen before. I'm not sure if it's a Samsung issue or an Oreo one.
So I'm getting some warnings in my notifications area. Now I get the idea behind it, but there's no way to approve apps. For instance, I get a warning that Waze was using the microphone. I approved that permission, yet every time I use Waze, I get the warning. I get a warning that Google Music is using a lot of CPU. Lastly, I'm getting a warning that Handcent SMS is accessing, you guessed it, SMS.
Again, I understand the idea behind it. However, two of these are working "as intended". I'm wondering if there's a way to whitelist apps so this notification doesn't appear every time.
If anyone needs to know how to fix this, I found it on Google.
Settings > Lockscreen and Security > App Permission Monitor.
Then you can turn that all the way off, or off for specific apps.
