i can't find fingerprint id in settings/security only faceid !
my phone is the chinese version of mate 20 pro LYA-AL00 build number 9.0.0.157(C00E155R1P20).
if someone can help...

Sorry but If you bought 6gb model it doesn't have in display finger scanner on Chinese version. Return it for lya-L29 model.

None of these are particularly easy. What reason specifically do you have to rebrand? Note that the Chinese version gets the most updates. The main issue with the Chinese version for me is that some Google functionality (e.g. location history) is not working out-of-the-box.

As it is the chinese version, can anyone tell me the difference between it and the european version? Is it only software?
I would like to know if I can stay with the chinese version r if it is necessary to install the european firmware, because i read that some users bricked their phones when rebranding from chinese to european.

I've been notified of an update to STF-AL00 8.0.0.336 (C00) few days ago. I did not update yet because I was not sure if it would be possible to rebrand it after that.
I've also installed GMS yesterday from a chinese site. I did not log in my gmail account yet.
Which choice is better: rebrand or stay under the chinese version?

Pros:
-access to chinese region huawei themes and wallpaper database. There is a lot more of themes in chinese store than on 'balance' europeean store. But on chinese store, some of these extra themes are sold.
Cons:
-may need a chinese huawei account which need a chinese +86 phone number to validate and use a chinese huawei account.

Update of L29 is very lagging
Don't like Android messaging app, Huawei messaging app don't work on L29
Intelligent object recognition (and many other things) is not fully functional on L29
No Chinese voice assistant on L29

I want to change it from L09 to L29 because i don't have dual sim manager and i can't switch data from sim 1 to sim 2
The only thing i can do is making calls from sim 1 or sim 2
My mate 10 pro is on android pie L09C432 9.0.0.161
Can i flash the L29 file or what can i do

Just a quick heads up, rebranding and changing from L09 to L29 will in all likelihood zero out your IMEI numbers (and make your unlock code useless).

I know people on here don't like them but I re-branded an L09 to an L29 using FunkyHuawei. It costs but it worked and I have a perfectly valid IMEI still intact (and I didn't have to unlock). However, it may be that the exploit used for this process no-longer exists... The FH team are very helpful
