I have a problem, if I turn off the display without leaving the email app, the arrival of a new message, the phone does not notify the arrival, does not emit sound doesn't vibrate, the led not ... And I see a new mail only when unlocking the screen. However, if the app is in background or is closed notifications work fine
What rom (PDA/CSC) are you using?
Here is operating normally with the brazilian rom UBALE6.
You are right, if you have the mail app opened you won't have a new notification

I have Lenovo K910 mobile phone. The rom version VIBEUI_V2.0_1443. (KitKat 4.4.2)
The problem is that I have receive any notifications neither mails, Skype, Line, nor WhatsApp specially WhatsApp.
I don't receive any notifications until I open the application then I get a stream of notifications.
Even if the apps are open and the screen is off I don't receive notifications.
I've many friends who have the same phone and all of them face this problem.
I have read that this is a problem in the push notification.
How Can I solve this stupid problem.

thank for your reply but I think this is a common problem for K910 and may be for VibeUI roms.
I didn't disable any thing in my app manger

Hi all,
I was wondering if you guys have the same problem as me, or if you know a solution for my problem.
I want to use google messenger, however when I send a text to somebody and they respond, GM opens a new thread.. As a consequence, all my conversations are in are going in in multiple threads..
edit: or if somebody knows how to turn off the encrypted messaging of Signal/Textsecure.. would be a help too.
edit2: found it on the Signal website.. This can be closed/deleted.

Hi Mojar,
Haven't actually fixed it yet. I do know why it's working this way.
It has to do with the number. If it includes the country code, it will appear in the same thread. If the number does not contain the country code, your recipient will receive the text, however the reply number will include the country code and therefore the messenger sees this as a different contact, I guess.
Hope this is clear enough [emoji4] let me know if you find an easy fix. I did find an app in the playstore called "add country code", but haven't tried it yet.

Hello,
Thanks for the response. I tried using the app you mentioned but it seems to complicated to use. So I'll just deal with the multiple threads. Maybe an update may fix it.
Other option would be to use another messaging app like WhatsApp or similar.
Update: Disabled Google messenger and I am now using textra app in the play store. Group messages works great and looks much better.
Hi,
I am facing the same issue there.
The fact is that I already checked for different country code numbers, but it does not seem to be the problem as I have the issue with the exact same number.
Messenger and Go SMS keep creating a new thread.
Textra is working fine, but I don't like it.
Same with the new OTA (2.1.3. Build 23/11/2015) ?
Same thing with 2.1.3, yes.
It's an oxygen thing because no other roms have this issue. I actually like messenger but don't use it with my oneplus phones because of this. I use Textra.
Hello Guy's,
i have a small stupid problem with my bip.:silly:
I have install the last version and since this, if I receive a whatsapp notification always 2 times on the watch!
Is there anywhere a setting in myfit app or on the phone where I can change this behavior?

Me too. Don't know why as well
I'm using Amazfit Tools to fix this. I set to hold multiple notifications for 10 secs...
when someone talks to you with a word and sent, word and sent.. it makes me crazy!
Did somebody noticed that the notifications sound twice e.g. Outlook, Twitter
I've searched along the Apps configuration, I don't found anything related.
Can somebody help?
Best regards.
JC

I haven't noticed this with Gmail. I'm not using Outlook or Twitter.
I get it with Outlook and Twitter. Had the same issue in my Pixel 2.
My friend has this on his att s9+ but I don't. Why is that?

Yep, i have the same issue
Same here. Gmail is fine, but Outlook's notification sound stutters and it is very annoying. I went into google play and left a comment on it. This could be an app problem, an oreo problem, or a samsung problem (or all of the above).

Ah, that may be explainable. In Gmail's settings, there's an entry labeled "Inbox notifications." Make sure it's set to Notify once, and not Notify for every message. If you choose every message, and get two emails at once, it will try to notify you twice at virtually the same time. I don't know if Outlook or Twitter have the same option.
I have it set to notify once
Hi All,
Did anyone find a way to solve this issue?

I had this problem with my S7 Edge, although it began after I installed a modded ROM. Gmail is the only app that gave me problems though. I never found a solution. Hope someone figures it out.
Had the same issue, noticed some people noted that secret folder might be the issue if u had the app in there too. I just uninstalled secret folder and the problem dissapeared, at least in gmail If u don't use Secret folder just delete that app, save the space
Known issue with outlook app and Microsoft still is not able to fix it on Oreo

Have you tried going into notifications for the ap ? Gmail has options to turn off sound alerts. This should stop the double alert sound.
I'm using the Mood text app and have individual notification sounds for different people. It's been working fine for about a month. Yesterday, these dual alerts started where the sound associated with that person sounds but then so does my global notification sound. It's definitely two sounds for every one text and it's very annoying. I didn't change any settings in the app or globally. I'm pretty sure the only change I made to my phone in that general timeframe was installing Words with Friends. Texts are the only app I get notifications for, so I have no idea if other apps would have the same issue.
ETA: Today I learned my calendar notifications also double alert.
Look under accessibility and then notification reminder if it’s on turn it off that work for me
