This morning I got a notification from Hicare saying "Non-official system software detected" with a recommendation to contact Huawei support. Any idea what the heck this is?

Maybe its because I side loaded the Pixel 3 live wallpapers?
Well, could be. I used ADB to disable some of the bloat on my device.
I got this notification as well.... It just dissapeared after i clicked on it, never to be seen again. My phone is nearly 100% stock, and running on Firmware 9.0.0.122.
German Telekom installed an update after i inserted the SIM card... Even tho it was only crappy bloatware, huawei might detect it as a "custom rom" (which would also explain why I still wait for EMUI 9.0.0.146, i guess?).

Interesting. I too got a network update (Vodafone for me) and didn't get the 146 update until I used Hisuite on my pc.

SADLY custom launcher still don't work flawlessly :'(

Can the bloat be uninstalled? Vodafones crud got auto installed on my phone during the sim setup but I can still uninstall it through app management.

I work for Vodafone and several of my colleagues have the same Problem and they are on different carriers. TCom, Vodafone and o2. I am on o2 myselfand never made any updates via HiSuite, ota only.

i also got this message yesterday, i also noticed this phone (3rd replacement) had a worse sound quality.
I did an erecovery flash, (plug the cable and use recovery buttons at the same time until the erecovery screen show up) it flashed 146 again and then i did full wipe.
Sound now is so much better, and no message since then.

Hi all!
I am exceptionally new here, especially with Android. I've been a long time Blackberry user and the difference between both OS are really different. Felt like a grandma using this phone.
But anyway, I've done a lot of research and reading on this forum about upgrading firmware, rooting and etc. but still have questions that need to be clarified.
I have purchased a GS2 from a store that gets their phones from overseas. Thus my phone is not from a carrier and is from a different country.
I tried upgrading my firmware using Kies but it's not allowing me:
"This version of the device cannot be updated"
I know for sure there's new firmwares to be updated as I have owned another GS2 before this one and it was fine at updating through Kies. I had to return it for a burnt image (that can be for another thread).
Here's my phone's info:
PDA: I9100ZSKF1
PHONE: I9100XXKE4
CSC: I9100OZSKE7
kernel: 2.6.35.7-i9100ZSKF1-CL225635 [email protected] #6
Not sure if this is related or not but when I first turned on the phone, everything was in Spanish and had no choice in the Language option to change to Chinese (just in case but I use English normally). So I asked the boss of the store how can I get Chinese on this thing? So he just took the phone and did his magic. I was waiting for about half an hour, he gave it back to me and everything was in Chinese. Changed it back to English, went home and played around with it. Realized I have a Super User app in my app drawer. I was suspecting that the boss rooted my phone just to get the Chinese language on. Because for sure it would not come stock.
So my big question is, if this phone is/was indeed rooted, how do I check? If I root not knowing that this is rooted already, would there be any problems that may arise?
Kernel wise, since this phone was originally in Spanish, it wouldn't make sense to have a China/Hong Kong kernel. Does it? I'm so new at this that I don't know if kernel's country make any difference. Oh yeah, I don't even have a freaking warranty card for this phone, I guess I wouldn't even have Samsung's warranty.

Do you have a superuser icon in your app drawer? If yes then you're rooted.

You root by flashing a cf-root kernel, flashing it again wont cause any issues at all.
I wouldn't worry about origin of kernel's.
App from market called root checker.
Helps diagnose any problems too.

Not normally you require KF1 root

Root = no warranty .
Looks to me like you have had China/Hong Kong firmware flashed = ZS code in the store . Kies update route probably now blocked as phone codes dont match .

Thanks for the prompt reply guys. I downloaded Titanium backup to check (as out needed root access in order to work) and it said I did! Lol the boss saved me from rooting myself.

My bro has gifted me with 3 Huawei phones(he found them cheaper), he bought them from Shenzen. Unfortunately, none of them Support Google and am Living in Tanzania (we desperately need google). He is nowhere sooner to go back to China to return these phones. One of them being P20 LITE with 128GB(Wow that's huge). With these restrictions, I can't even call it a SmartPhone. I have tried installing the "GMS... package" but the play store still crash. AM DESPERATE. PLEASE HELP WORKAROUND

That's right, you can get (install Google SERVICE), but with each update they will go away, and it's not nice

So I couldnt downgrade the phone but end up upgrading it to BUILD NUMBER 9.1.0.127)COOE126R1P7. and it just happen I found someone with the very phone like mine. including the build number huawei p20lite. SHe has a working google services and everything. .. is going smooth

Users dara partition are intact, if you install applications ,they are installed here, so after update they still are here, can't see, never saw, that I am missing some application after update. Ofcorse, if you are rooted, then that's different story, but as this time phone isn't rooted, user can't install apps on system , vendor partitions, which are cleared after update.
But that's only my logic thought, from what I experienced..

now what about build number phone
Hi everyone,
I noticed recently that my phone doesn't unlock with my Fingerprint (I set 3 fingers) and It doesn't show FP icon in bottom of screen before unlocking... So, I went to settings to remove all the saved fingerprints and add them again, and suddenly I didn't find the Fingerprint option in Security along with the other lock options as you can see from the screenshot below. I also went to Service Menu and then Service Test and scrolled down and there is no Fingerprint HW as if it's not connected! this happened before Android 11 and still the same after the update. if anyone has encountered the same problem please let me know. also if anyone can help me with any suggestion , or what should I do!

You did a clean install ?
The fingerprint manager should be in the root Security page, not the Screen lock screen. When you add fingerprints it automatically defaults to that method for unlocking. You can think of the Screen lock page as a backup to the fingerprint unlock.

thanks for the respond.... actually I had it working with 3 configured fingers, but then it disappeared on it's own even after update to 11.. but I didn't do a clean instal, just upgrade over the 10... I already downloaded the rom and I will flash the phone and see if this will return it back!
I will update the OP once I finish flashing and hopefully it will be back again

Yeah, use Newflasher . I think SEA is better but has Fortnite Installer app. I see the TW one doesn't have that one but is slow in Update than Customized RU,SEA, and UA.
Regarding the fingerprint. try to update the Google Play system update located in the Settings> Security . Affter update restart the phone It worked for me.

My FP reader has started to disappear after a while since the last android 10 update I got before getting Android 11. I've factory reset, i used the Xperia companion to run a repair and it's still happening. It'll be fine for an hour or two sometimes 3 but then just stop responding. If it's a hardware fault is a very strange one as a reboot and it's fine again for a bit.

Not sure if you're still having this issue but ... I have had it about 4x.
The hardware is NOT at fault.
It was a google update, silently arrived and disappeared. I reset the Google Play update and ... they're back including my pre-reg'd fingerprints.
However, last night's auto (and unwanted) update for something has lost them again. I have tried removal of updates for a few things (but seems they've changed that reversal process to make different/harder, again) but no luck today.
I am 100% certain it's not the device. It is google's updates.

Lemme ask you something else (or anyone that sees this comment), did you have issues with the Chinese rom where you sometimes missed calls? Like there's no record of the call ever happening as if you had no signal (no missed call in the log, whoever was calling went straight to voicemail, etc) I've been having that issue since day one but since I don't call much it doesn't really bother me, that being said I'm wondering if the international rom would fix that (or the Android 12 update). I've searched around but it does seem like I'm a isolated case

Did you try
adb reboot bootloader
So the bootloader is locked, he doesn't see his PC properly

Then repair service for free (or to find someone who has access to msm tool/ paid service)
So Im on global (CPH2415) I just downloaded the downgrade package for global used it so back on Android 12 then I shut off auto updates and waited for the next day I checked oxygen updater and seen a update for (CPH2417) that was over 4GB so I let it download after saving the file and it let me use the system update app by OnePlus to upgrade into 2417.(if you need me to explain in more detail or tell you exactly how I did it just message me in private message)

Is this for the T-Mobile version and what version of Android is it .I have model 2419 and when I try to update my phone or swap to anything but Global Android 12 my apps lock up and says contract phone error and my apps are disabled.

So sadly I have had time to look up into the T-Mobile version so that is something I'm a lot of information for but a limit opposed to you that talks about that so hopefully that helps
I am currently on CPH2417_11_A.08 and I want to only go to A.13.. I DO NOT want to update to Android 13 (C.22).. but I cant seem to find this anywhere.. any ideas?
Oppo/Oneplus are systematically scrubbing all traces of the older OTA fw from all the known sites. This is why i havent made any updates to that thread for doing region swaps. My instructions still stand firmly for how its done and whats required, but now its kinda on a peer to peer basis, cuz all the OTA links that are now available anywhere have a new signature check that will make the fw not appear or fail flashing if you try them. But the steps still work... and Creeper36, if you came from a T-mobile original device, you do not want to take that next upgrade ... you CAN go up to A.12 and you will get your 5g , wifi calling, and volte all working... but anything A.13 and above will lock up all your apps and the only way to get the phone working again, is a factory reset, and a rollback. Some security function has been activated that can detect you original device fingerprint, and if you are on ANY fw other than a 2419 build, it triggers the app lock.
Im still working on finding out what needs to be removed from the CarrierDevicePolicy so that this doesnt happen, but i need root access to make progress, and i am on one of the newer 10T that have the Fastboot Protocol disabled. My advice would be to just search thru the oneplus community pages or go to the telegram/discord channels... both are user operated, so you can message someone or just ask the group for the file you want and chances are someone has it, who can help you. I have A.15 but its for the 2415 build. All the fw you find below that version on the common sites (gsm mafia... etc) are packages you will need the msm tool or qfil to flash.
Does this mean I can pull boot from this and finally bl unlock/root my 2417 on Android 13?!
Can someone explain me what is the difference between 2415Global and 2417NA versions of OOS? What is good and of course what is bad? I just flashed my ACE PRO to Global 2415 want to know if it is worth to change to 2417NA? Thanks in advance
