Why substratum and Layers Manager don't work for Xperia devices. I tried to install theme using theme.
Layers Manager did work but phone started rebooting every 2 mins. And substratum didn't work.
Why these apps don't work for our devices.?
An I doing something wrong?
Or there is an alternative?
@iXaidyiu help brother?
hey,
Not all layers work with xperia framework however there is some layers and Most of them is paid which I managed to get them work on xperia z2 with amazing theming results.
I still use layer manager because it is more practical when i need to mix overlays from a theme to another.
when trying a new theme just do not install the framewrok overlay at first as it is the one that cause bootloop or restart.
@Dr.Death Pm me if you need more details.
List of layer themes fully working with Z2:
ilayers
Uno
Vibrance
Transparent
AzureFree
Neon Colors: You mustn't install the framework just install al the other overlays and mix them with Vibrance Framework for good results.
ShadeUI: Fully Working
RazerBlue
Another Blue
Lunar

Introduction
This rom is based on Samsung's Touchwiz firmware, with some tweaks and mods. It is optimized for better battery life, heavily debloated, and themed just like the Google Pixel. It features the blue accent theme, Quick Settings just like the Pixel, Rounded Icons for over 1,000 apps thanks to the HydIconPack for Pixel Launcher, and Google Pixel ui sounds and apps.
The only samsung apps included in this rom are Device Maintenance, and Samsung Camera. The apps Gallery, Samsung Account and Store, SHealth, Video Player, Voice Recorder, Gallery , and some other apps can be selected to be installed thanks to AROMA Installer.

Tutorial
Download the latest version of the rom down below,
if there's a fix for your device varient, download that as well. I will try and merge the fixes on new builds.
In order to install this rom, first of all, if this is your first time, read about it, do some research and understand the consequences. You need an unlocked bootloader, USB debugging enabled and a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP.
Copy the downloaded ROM file and copy it to your device.
Reboot to recovery mode, and use the recovery to get a full backup from your device's current system, data, kernel, etc and make a copy of said backup to your computer. Then, fully wipe Data, Cache, ART cache and system(DO NOT WIPE INTERNAL STORAGE). Then use a recovery file manager or connect the device to your computer and use mtp to delete the folder Android on your device.
Then install the rom, and if you've downloaded fix patches, install them afterwards and then reboot.
When you install the rom, the aroma installer pops up and gives you a set of options for desired Google Apps,
Samsung apps and services. For the Google Apps I recommend installing the wallpapers and Fit since the wallpapers are not on Play Store and Fit performs best as a system app. The rest can be found on Play store.
The services are Dual Sim support, SuperSU root and NFC support. However, you MUST include SuperSU in your choices for now due to a kernel issue. The dual sim support is obviously for the dual sim models and the NFC is optional since it causes battery performance issues on some devices. CHECK IT IF YOU WANT NFC TO BE INSTALLED. Finally the Samsung Apps.
The Samsung apps are Account, which includes the Samsung Galaxy Apps store and Samsung Account which is required for syncing. SAMSUNG Cloud is not included because I think it is a useless battery eating service, but if you need it let me know so I add it as an option for future builds. There are other Samsung services and apps like SNote, SHealth, One Handed Mode, BlueLight Filter, Private Mode, Gallery, Video Player, Voice recorder, MyFiles, Clipboard Service and SPen features. They all pretty much say what they are, the SPen features include air command, spen apps and Snote, and Clipboard Service is Samsung's handy Clipboard Service which I really like.

My device doesn't boot up after 10 minutes of flashing the rom!
If your device's LED light is no longer on and blue, then the issue is with the Settings app, try flashing with a full wipe, restoring your EFS and if it doesn't work out, contact me. If however the blue led is still on, then try and take a log and sending it to me, with your device information.
Which files should I delete prior to installing the ROM?
The only thing you should delete prior to flashing the ROM once in recovery mode is the Android folder in your internal storage.

Just like you said, the problem is firstly that your device model isn't in the list I said this ROM supports!
Please do some reading prior to flashing and posting. From now on, with all due respect, I will ignore posts like this.

BlueLight Filter is kernel related and it's again because you're running the rom on another device. If anyone tries this ROM on other devices or varients and finds fixes for the bugs not mentioned, please share them so I may include them in future builds.
Hi, i am currently on RR rom 6.1 weekly and have magisk installed.
I was thinking of applying substratum theme and then i saw there was something known as oms and legacy roms...... I want to know 2 things.
1. Is resurrection remix oms or legacy?
2. How can i apply substratum. And some cautions so that i don't end up bootlooping my phone.
Substratum oms support means ROM support fully to substratum. All themes works fully. Legacy mode means the bare minimum, not fully supported, not all themes will work and some will cause issues. Although many themes runs smoothly on legacy ROM also.
1. Yes Official RR Oreo is OMS ROM, fully support.
2. Just install substratum from playstore. Install desire theme from playstore. Then you can see theme will be listed in substratum. Select that theme and also select appropriate versions of all apps that you have installed. Also check install ROMS version. Select desire color-combination of themes/layers if available. Then apply and wait for few minutes to finish it up. I recommend you to restart phone once you one with applying theme so you wont face any lag issue.
For boot-looping issue, I never faced boot-loop. Although, substratum and some theme can cause it. But resolving it is very easy. Just go to substratum forum and download "substratum rescue zip". Flash it via TWRP.
Hi.
I have old android phone LG Prada 3.0 - it has custom Android 4.0.4 with black/white icons everywhere (Prada Theme). Except downloaded apps.
I would like to get the same theme to my new phone running Android 8.0 Oreo (Sony Xperia XA). So far I have managed to get all the black/white icons from old phone. I have also found some apps that let me change icons on my new phone but I can only change them in home-screen. If I press the "apps" button, original icons are still there.
Is there some theme extract/import app that I can use?
I would like to make my new phone look as much as possible as in old phone...
How to edit Android Themes?
can some tell me that we can edit andorid theme,

Is there a theme store already?
If not, try substranium app.
All,
Forgive me in advance, but I am a serious novice when it comes to customizing phones or installing launchers etc. However, I have scoured the internet and forums for answers and done everything I found to try to solve the issues. I'm here as last resort asking for your alls help.
My lg v30 just got updated to android pie. Went to install the more recent version of the official google pixel launcher (V9, says it's compatible with android pie or below) and when I go to install it says it wont do it. The weird thing is is that I can install an older version of the pixel launcher (from 2018). Just not the newer ones from 2019. And on the older version of the pixel launcher my swipe google discover feed will not appear to the left of my home screen no matter what I do.
I've tried installing the apk's from apk mirror, cant post link bc I'm a new user. But its from apk mirror and its the official pixel launcher apk, different updated versions.
And yes, I uninstalled pixel launcher before installing new ones. Still wont install. Have tried all recent versions except for the v10 release which it says wouldnt be compatible on android pie phones.
I have allowed third party installs, uninstalled / re-installed the pixel launcher. So my questions are:
1) Am I not able to run a more recent version of the pixel launcher on a v30? Even if it's been updated to android pie?
2) Even running an older version of the pixel launcher (v8 from 2018), my google swipe discover feed will not appear to the left of the home screen. Is there anything I can do to get it to appear?
I appreciate any insight you all can offer. And sorry for novice questions, I'm really frustrated.
