One thing I liked about MIUI (now Ad UI) was power off alarm. If you power off your phone , then your phone will power on automatically and your alarm will wake you up. I'd like to know if any aosp ROM supports this . help !

hi,
i just switched from miui6 to miui7 and now to aosp. the only thing i am missing from miui6 is the vibration of softkeys, which felt like pushing a button (very short vibration on pushing and another one on leaving the button).
Is there any way to realise this behaviour on AOSP rom? serched already a lot but culdn't find anything.
regards,

Did you test gravitybox?
Check this tip here
thanks for the link, that is what i already did. but it didn't vibrate when releasing the softkey.
1. Follow this thread and enable full display: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guide-hide-navigation-bar-status-bar-app-t3509747
2. Enable force long display in svc menu
3. download fingerprint quick action in playstore to use fingerprint as back and home button
4. if you want more control, download button mapper in playstore, assign volume down button hold for recents, and volume up button hold for toggle notification
sadly battery drain is an issue
enjoying full screen is the best, i wish phone manufactures enable some buttons at the back, imagine a near bezel less display fully utilized

Oh man more people should be trying this, looks wayyyyyyy better. I strongly recommend you leave the status bar . However just try to hide every thing, then leave the status bar and hide navigation bar only, u'll see what I really mean

very well jugdement there, so I've been only using it for 3-4 hours this morning (in cluding standby time), android system takes up to 4% (normally its around 5-6% at the end of the day). I'll however keep this hidden navigation bar till the end of the day. I'll update soon
So there you go, it does drain some serious battery there. Very sad :crying:

Have you tried pie control instead of fingerprint control? It still leaves the whole screen for displaying content.

OK it has. Settings user interface is a bit awkward at first.
What do use to make navigation bar disappear?

I know it sounds crazy but it wasn't a default settings
Will look about adb for immersive mode when I have time.
Did you solve the battery drain some people experienced?
Hey you should link to the non payed app version for people to try first...

I immediately put everything back to normal haha. Well if you are OK with battery drain, you should forever have it that way cause the screen is just so pleasant to stare at
I have tried the Nexus P thread way to hide the navigation bar (except for YouTube and whatsapp) and then use xda LMT 2.8 pie app and it is working great for me, without extra drain as of today.
I turned each app into 18:9.

With the stock MIUI ROM, you can turn your phone off at night and still have the alarm sound in the morning. The stock ROM will automatically power on the phone a few minutes before a scheduled alarm clock and then sound the alarm. It sounds like a boring feature, but it is an absolute must have for me.
Are there any custom ROMs or kernels that have an automatic power on device for alarm feature?
I think every rom can do that. Not sure, haven't tried it.
Maybe only miui based custom roms(like epic rom)

RROS even has a setting to enable that but it didn't do anything for me either. I think that's just not possible on the Honor 9... Sadly - would have loved to have that feature too.

The fps always goes straight into the homescreen and I often just want to see my notifications on the lockscreen. Having to press the power button on the side therefore can be quite inconvenient when the phone is lying on the desk.
PS: Oh, well, that was another downside of EMUI. I don't get why they don't show older notifications on the lockscreen. If the phone gets unlocked once, all the notifications for this moment don't show up on the lockscreen anymore (which stock Android and I guess most other OEM skins do).

Strange that it is missing as it works in the H7.
Isn't that a hardware limitation at least on the h9?
Well bro you can use the "Evie Launcher", than go to settings and pick double Tap option. You can lock your phone via Double Tap than (Not unlocking)
I wonder why there's not much going on with this tablet. It's literally the tablet to buy in this price range, there's nothing else.
With MoKee as the AOSP ROM out there, no official TWRP support and no global MIUI rom, is this tablet going to took off? Is it just too new?

I think the problem is that we don't have the kernel source yet.
Meanwhile the damn Poco source code is already out today, but most people can't even buy one yet.
Edit: Also at least this place has some activity compared to the ghost land that is the Mi Pad 4 Plus forum.
The mi pad 4 plus is a sistership, maybe she can bring dev for mi pad 4.
Be patient, I have a Zenfone 3 and for a long time, there is nothing with this phone, and now we have a lot of differents rom projects.
I'm building AICP GSI with patch for Mi Pad 4, but can't test myself because of f**cking 360 hour limit
https://treble.andro.plus/
I can try it. I doesn't do migration again with my Nexus 7.

First boot at the moment, no flickering brightness screen with mi pad 4.
It's the best GSI image in my opinion. Thanks
EDIT:
camera is working
Netflix is working

No double tap to wake and no magnetic cover détection.
How are updates implemented, OTA or do I have to reflash when a new version is published?
You can enable tap to wake with this command:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/soc/c177000.i2c/i2c-3/3-0038/fts_gesture_mode
We need to implement "miui.util.SmartCoverManager.handleLidSwitchChanged" to enable cover detection on custom roms...

Currently no OTA. You have to download and flash system.img in recovery or fastboot.
The navbar don't rotate in landscape mode. It's normal ?
Thanks for making this, AndroPlus! I tried it today, worked great except I was unable to turn the brightness down enough. I will definitely switch to it permanently when all the issues are fixed!

I switch with this rom and I'm happy.
I see an other little issue, YouTube rotate in landscape mode only on full screen, not in mid screen with comments.
New 180901 version. I try it ?
I force-enabled tap to wake in AICP 180902 build.
To disable tap to wake, please run this command.
echo 0 > /sys/devices/soc/c177000.i2c/i2c-3/3-0038/fts_gesture_mode
[EDIT]
oops, looks like it doesn't work because of timing to enable. I'll change it later...

It's normal as AOSP forces right navbar by default.
You can move to bottom with this mod.
https://android.stackexchange.com/a/187235
I added patch to force bottom navigation bar to 180902 build (re-uploaded)
To disable, run
su
setprop config.force_bottom_navbar 0
then reboot or restart system ui.
Thanks for your work !
Can you add more low brightness ?
