Trying to install this recovery (OrangeFox-R8.3-mido) through command prompt but I get an error about failed anti-rollback

Why on earth would you want to install OrangeFox for mido on vince?

Made a couple of scripts for people who are having problems moving between the beta and any CM13 compatible rom (and vice versa).
Firstly, they are both zip files but NOT FLASHABLE FILES.
Just unpack either one, go into the folder and run the rescue.bat file as admin (right click and choose "run as administrator") while you have your OP2 in fastboot mode (Windows only, anyone wanting to convert them, feel free )
All it does is flashes all the partitions from the OOS3 beta one by one and then flashes the compatible TWRP version at the end or flashes the CM13 compatible partitions and the latest TWRP (3.0.1.0 for now) at the end.
**MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COPIED THE BETA ZIP FILE ON TO YOUR PHONE FIRST OR A CM13 COMPATIBLE ROM (WITH GAPPS PACKAGE) **
Hold down your volume down key once the script is done and it'll reboot into the compatible recovery, once you wipe your system, data and cache partitions in there and flash the rom you should be good to go. Just make sure when you restart from TWRP you choose to disable the "stock recovery replacement"
To go from any rom to the OOS 3 Beta use this pack:

Tried it but didn't work. The recovery remains the same een after adb shows its flashed in fastboot mode... maybe I should try unlocking the OEM again as I just flashed 3.0 beta and think it might have locked OEM

Which way were you trying to go? From CM13 to 3.0 Beta or the other way round? Also did you run your command window or the script with administrator privileges?

I tried today to get back go from OOS3 to CM13 but I now have a Chinese TWRP. Can anybody tell me how to change that back to English?! My Chinese is not really existing
Found the menue entry by testing. In case anybody else gets that problem:
- in the main menu click the 3rd button on the right
- on the top menu click the globe icon
- now you can change the language

also u just need to extract the zip and reboot your phone into fastboot mode and the connect the mobile and open the folder where you extracted and run rescure.bat [ please do not run as admin ]
It will flash the partitions for the CM based roms and you can then reboot in recovery when the command prompt ask you to hold the down arrow key and press any key and now the trwp 3.0.2 will open and just wipe the data, system and cache and dalvik and then flash the cm and gapps you will be good to go after the reboot

he roms are not based on different firmware the main diff with MM stock n other roms is the partion table and this is a general scenario for many mobiles

Hey, i tried to install twrp with adb it says Okay....finished but when i try to go to recovery it won't open it.it open the system normally. I tried to install it via flashtool i selected select kernal to flash and it says flashing finished but my phone won't turn on. Please tell me how to fix this.....thanks
Use xdz recovery app, then use adb method for upgrading twrp. it will work.(rooted device only) ?

Hey Guys!
Is there any custom ROMs that work with the Honor 7A for android pie? I have searched a lot and have found viruses or just plain ads, none of which work. Should I just wait for Honor/Huawei and see if they update it or should I use any available custom ROMs? Would be very grateful if anyone was to create a ROM for this cause as well!

Huawei phones that came out from 2017 till present have locked boot loader, that means you cannot install any kind of ROM. There's lots of "tip/tricks" how to bypass it but in 60% if a script kiddy built the boot loader unlocker you will kill you're phone with unscrewable consequences, not worth it... Anyways why do you need a custom ROM?

---unlock bootloader with DC unlocker from play store Its vary espansive to unlock It for me is worked
---fastboot and adb in pc
-- you can root with magisk but you Need stock ramdisk.img
You Can download It from internet all firmware
And extract It
---install magisk manager.apk and patch the ramdisk.img in Honor 7a partiton is called not boot.img but ramdisk.img
---patched-boot.img copy that and past It in pc
Open devlopers option enable debugging and OEM unlock
---open adb type this command adb reboot bootloader
Type fastboot flash ramdisk and drag the patched-boot.img to terminal cmd
---now you have magisk and root
Its vary Easy to ho in bootloop with modules warning
---gsi compatibile rom to flash Its all 8.1
---9.0 not work i test It you Can only try
---twrp not working all feauturs in the version

i tested this recovery touch screen not work, when i connect to the pc can't trasfer file from the pc to the recovery
is not correct twrp build version for this phone

you can flash lineage os 15.1 or you can flash AOSP 9.0 Working fine
you need to have twrp and wipe system dalvik ecc.... flash your stock vendor in twrp

Hello. I decided to switch to CarbonROM on my Poco f1 thinking that it was based on Android 10 (I really like gesture navigation). After reformatting my device I flashed the firmware, carbonrom and then my microG package. After a little hitch with the wrong firmware it worked. Then, after realising that it didn't have android 10 gesture navigation I thought I'd switch to another ROM. I booted to my recovery (SkyHawk recovery, based on twrp) and went to re format my device. The recovery asked me for a password to decrypt my device (which I found odd as I had never set up a password on CarbonROM) which I cancelled the request and went to reformat my device. I typed in yes and it told me the "Unable to mount storage". Wiping, mounting or any other action yields the same response. I tried rebooting to system and after the CarbonROM boot animation it told me "Encryption unsuccesful" and some text saying I need to reset my phone. I pushed the reset phone button and after a pop up claims to reset it, it boots back to recovery. The main console in the recovery says "cryptkeeper.showFactoryReset() corrupt=false". I have repeated multiple times. All I can access is the recovery (from which I can do nothing) and fastboot.
Is my phone stuffed or can I restore it somehow?

How though? Despite failing earlier, I have now been able to boot up into CarbonROM (so my phone is not bricked ) but I am unable to wipe / reformat my phone from SkyHawk. I know that you can flash a recovery if you have Magisk root, but even flashing Magisk doesn't work from SkyHawk. Can I get TWRP to replace SkyHawk through Fastboot / ADB or anything like that?
Just flash twrp img file using shrp then boot to recovery
