Dear all,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I flashed a customer kernel and it wasn't what I was looking for, and I wanted to go back to stock. So I tried to flash B368 stock kernel (using files found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...nel-recovery-ramdisk-stock-t3781347?nocache=1). Now I'm in a boot loop. I can get into the bootloader. What can I do to get my phone working? I would ideally not wipe the phone, but will if I have to.

I have a cwm backup of my stock rom from the day I got my device. Obviously, I had to install cwm to make the backup.
How can I get back the stock recovery? I did some searching on the dev forum, but didn't find anything. Is there an odin flashable file somewhere?
I want my device to be completely stock. Triangle-away (to reset the counter in download mode) is not working yet, but hopefully it will soon
I apologize if I'm missing something obvious here. Thanks!
I recently rooted the phone and wanted to install a custom rom. When I tried to back up the current stock rooted rom with rom manager, someone went wrong. So I was then stuck on a flashing black screen. But I can still access Odin/download mode. But whenever I try to flash something, it flashes, but the screen just reboots back to the flashing black screen. Help please I dont know what to do
What firmware base did you start from, and what method did you use to root the phone?
Rom Manager is not recommended for use on the I777 phone. You need a custom kernel which contains ClockworkMod Recovery to back up the phone. Did you try to install ClockworkMod Recovery from Rom Manager?
Need more information before we can help. So, answer the above, and provide as much detail in addition as you can.
I almost messed my phone up by not rooting or flashing a ROM the proper (safe) way and ended up using a return to stock / unroot guide to start fresh and just follow the guides for rooting and installing ROMs from there.
Hi, I am in need of help... I decided to give CM 10.1.3rc2 a try and after a day or so decided i wanted to go back. In order to flash CM 10 I had to use Flash GUI to flask the CM kernel. So when I decided to switch back to stock I again used Flash GUI to flash the kernel for the stock rom, and then flashed the rom, which appeared as part of the install process to again attempt to flash the kernel, and immediately went into boot loop. So I decided then to just try to restore my NAND backup. It appeared to restore fine, except I have no touchscreen functionality, so after it boots I can't do anything.
What went wrong here, and how do I fix it from here?
Truly appreciate any help I can get...
Thanks.
forgot to mention, I am S-on...
Click the link in my sig, and read the section about halfway down regarding the latest OTA update and the touch panel driver. You need to flash a 3.16 software version ROM, or a AOSP ROM with the newer 3.4 kernel.
I recently rooted and flashed CM7 on my T-Mobile Prism, but shortly afterwards I found out that the device was still eligible for warranty. I'm in need of an upgrade, so I decided to try to return the phone to stock as to reinstate the warranty. I managed to unroot and flash the stock ROM, but I still have CWM Recovery on the device. The problem is that whenever I plug the phone in to charge from a power-off state, it boots straight into the custom recovery instead of booting up like normal. Now, I'm asking if there is any way to either prevent the device from booting into the recovery like that, or to remove CWM altogether and reinstall the stock recovery.
If anyone could possibly help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Hello Everyone,
I know that this is an old phone but could you please help me to install a stock rom or one that will work.
The problem
The phone is stuck in a boot-loop the person who asked me to look at it said that have been happening since the phone fell very hard.
What I did
I managed to get the HTC dev unlocked and flash cwm recovery (the latest version). At present the phone can only boot in recovery and the bootloader.
What I would like to do next
I would like to flash a rom anyone that can work with the current firmware, I think I will be able to update it from there.
So please any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
The real problem here is that the latest firmware does not have a RUU (the HTC firmware restoration file)... CWM is not really recommended anymore, you should change to the latest TWRP, then I would recommend flashing the ROM from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2260154
It is as close to stock as you can get in a non-bootable state. Remember that when you flash a rom on this device well it is S-ON, you must manually flash the boot image with fastboot.
