Here was his answer
Can anyone tell me his requirements?
That will be great for device?
for this we need to install latest arnova Gcam port, without any modifications from others.
logcat you can get from adb shell and camera2api log from a app called "Camera2 inspect".
Tomorrow ill post my info here w/ the latest arnova Port.

Try this instead:
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Connect your phone on PC;
Start a command line on PC (administrator);
Go to the folder of platform-tools in command line;
Run adb (something like: adb logcat -v long > camera.txt);
Run camera in phone;
Crash app;
Ctrl+c in command line;
Get camera.txt and be happy.

Well...I wasn't able to run a simple command line as written (access is denied). However, using shell, I was able to get something with Camera and closing it but I am not sure if it is helpful.
1. See attached (probably a lot more information than required)
2. How do I run this from the command prompt?
3. How would I crash the app on purpose?
(Edit - Attachment Removed because it was the Moto app)

Ok, so I followed the directions better. The latest version of Arnova's camera will not crash! Nevertheless, here is a logcat capture that I finally CTRL-C'd out of.
So I played around with the Gcam app and I think the following needs to be added to the X4 port:
- Wide Angle Lens
- Selfie Flashlight (vice the white screen)
- Ability to choose storage location (Pixels don't have external SD cards like we do)

Selfie flash light works if you turn off hdr+

The flash can be turned on on selfie without hdr, and BGS managed to use the wide lense, but you need an unlocked bootloader.
That being said, it would be great to have all that in a single port and with more ease of access

Hi!
I am planing on buying this phone (currently have a S5 that's beginning to show it's age) and would really like to know if poco has a working (and tested) RAW photo support. This is something I actually miss the most with my S5 camera. Can someone with a GCam please check and ideally upload a low light high ISO DNG sample photo?
If anyone is wondering what's the use of RAW, with all the hassle (beware, technical details ahead, possibly even a bit of math!):
Access to the RAW sensor data is extremely powerful. When doing a night time photography you can get significantly better results by manually lowering the ISO and bumping the exposure but in truly low light that's not enough. You then take dozens of 30s exposures and add them together. The problem is that if you are working with JPEGs, it doesn't really work for extremely low signals. If there is a light source in your image that even after 30s exposure does not expose a pixel enough to bump the value from 0 to 1, with the added noise reduction it gets rounded to 0 every time, so adding zeroes gets you nowhere. On the other hand, if there is a significant noise in your sensor, that's actually in this case extremely helpful. By adding the photos that have a very low signal (below a normal detection threshold) but also a significant noise, you can remove the noise and still get the signal that has 'piggybacked' on the noise above the pixel threshold. Doing this, if you have the patience, basically makes your photos limited only by the 12MP sensor resolution and the lens quality. The quality of the sensor, it's dynamic range and noise level becomes completely irrelevant and you can basically simulate an 'ideal' sensor with arbitrarily large dynamic range and sensitivity and arbitrarily low noise. You should, for example, be able to do astrophotography and photograph objects that are too dim to be visible with a naked eye, beyond what even dSLRs can manage without these kinds of tricks.
With the very fast CPU and plentiful RAM you could even possibly automate this tedious process on the phone itself (for example by the use of CLI linux raw photo manipulation tools installed through termux or linuxdeploy) so it could be as simple as putting a phone on a tripod (or a sky tracking mount), starting a simple script and waiting for half an hour while the phone takes and processes the photos.
With access to the still linear RAW pixel data, you can even use the camera as a 'scientific' sensor in, for example, a cheap portable spectroscope. The possibilities are endless
Yes, I am well aware that I am weird
yup you can. also you can install 3rd party app and camera2 api is enabled by default no need to root and bootloader unlock for that.
Secondly camera is super awesome.
i can you lead to telegram group where people share their photoshots done on poco f1. you will get the idea
The gcam is one option for you to capture raw images but it does not support manual mode so you cannot get those long exposure raw images to talked about. What you can do is get a camera app that supports both raw images capturing and manual mode like proshot or manual camera
Very cool, thank you both! It would be great if someone could upload an actual DNG file taken with the poco and an app that also supports manual exposure. I am curious if the cli programs will recognise the format.

well manual mode is supported by default camera, but it doesn't have any option for RAW output.
my best pick will be open camera application.
what you recommend for both raw and manual mode
I've shot some raw photos using latest GCAM. However I don't know any apps for RAW files editing in phone. And I Didn't get time to check their quality on Photoshop. RAW files size is around 15Mb. I can send you those photos if you want to check.
That would be great if the DNG format is the same as the one the other apps (that have also manual support) produce. Can you send it to my gmail (same username)? Thanks.

I love astronomy and I am very interested in an app that would let us get raw format images and also have the manual mode. Did anyone know any app that can let us do that?
Thanks in advance
Manual camera app supports both RAW and manual controls. I haven't yet found an app that also supports intervalometer.

Gcam with manual controls does exist you know. Just get gcam with mods or from sannnity. These have manual control which can control ISO from 100 to 6400, shutter time from 1s to 32s (nothing shorter than 1s) and manual focus control. They can save it in raw.
FreeDCam also supports both manual controls and RAW.
To edit RAW images on the phone, use google snapseed app.

Go in the mods section of Poco f1 on xda and you'll find a thread started by sannity. Download his gcam.
I have tried quite a few Gcam mods available for exynos devices but none of them seems working flawlessly.

UPDATE: I haven't really followed this thread since I don't have an S10 anymore, however, just a heads up telephoto now works with the Snapdragon S10/Note 10 series and Gcam! Gcam can be downloaded in my S20 thread here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-working-with-s20-ultra-telephoto.4200277/
Now with Wide Angle and Telephoto Camera Support!
All credits go to Arnova8G2, CStark, Fizwiz, Xenius9, Urnyx05
Benefits:
Gcam offers less aggressive noise reduction and oversharpening. Under daylight things might not look too different but it's a lot better for low light, especially for finer details like carpets, hair, fabric texture. I've attached some comparison shots. The file names will indicate which camera was used for the pictures.
Regarding 6.1 vs 6.2 vs 7.0 vs 7.2:
6.1 could be more stable and allows you to save profiles that you can swap between (for instance if you have a setting for indoor and outdoor). However 6.2 is faster, possibly better processing algorithms. 7.0 is faster still and even better algorithms. 7.0+ also ads astrophotography option which is night sight but even better! 7.2 works on Android 10 only and should improve upon 7.0.
GCAM 6.1.0.021 Base
Download Arnova's Advanced 1.7 here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-arnova8G2/
then download the XML config attached to this post.
Instructions for applying the XML file can be found here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/settings09/
What works:
- Aperture switching for main camera (settings > Samsung CameraAPI2 > toggle "Switch to 2.4f aperture)
- Motion photo (have to use google photos as gallery and only limited to 1080p resolution)
- Night Sight
- Portrait mode
- Wide angle camera (hold the toggle camera button to switch between wide and regular rear cameras, press to switch between rear camera and front camera)
GCAM 6.2.030 Base
Download Arnova's Advanced 2.2 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=31714
Go to Settings > About > Enable Advanced Features
Settings > Enable AUX
Settings > HDR+ Control > Image Format > YUV_420_888
Quality HDR+ > Super High
Custom Libs > Eszdman v3 Beta
What works:
- Aperture switching for main camera (aperture icon at the bottom right)
- Motion photo
- Night Sight
- Portrait mode
- Wide angle camera (toggle button at the bottom left)
GCAM 7.0.009 Base
Download Xenius9's GCam_4.0.191101.0729build-7.0.009_x9_s9s_mod_0.43.apk here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12qfHQ-oq4vrHCWFkNaP6lNHMoDB31SNy
To enable astrophotography, go to settings, developer settings and make sure nightsight.extended_tripod and nightsight.extended_iterable_burst is enabled.
What works:
- Aperture switching for main camera (aperture icon at the bottom right)
- Motion photo
- Night Sight (with Astrophotography)
- Portrait mode
GCAM 7.2.010 Base for Android 10
Download Urynx05's gcam mod here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81499445&postcount=1197
then download the XML config here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/p/f/2020/01/s10_snap.xml
Instructions for applying the XML file can be found here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/settings09/
What works:
- Aperture switching for main camera (aperture icon at the bottom right)
- Motion photo
- Night Sight (Astrophotography can be enabled but max shutter is only like 2 seconds, not enough for stars)
- Portrait mode
- Wide Angle Camera
More development info can be found in the original app page.

Did you guys apply the XML file after copying it to where it needs to go? Detailed instructions here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/settings09/
Followed the instructions and it seems to be working fine so far on my S10, although I haven't done extensive testing.
How do you switch between apertures? It doesn't seem obvious to me.
Any reason this wouldn't also work on a Snapdragon S10+? Thinking about giving it a try now...
---------- Post added at 11:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:42 AM ----------
Installed and verified basic functionality on my S10+. Took a couple of night sight pictures and they turned out good. Will do some more testing. Thanks for the information.
Update: I'm seeing issues when switching between different modes. For example, the picture freezes whenever I go into portrait mode. Other modes work sometimes, but display a black screen other times. The app doesn't freeze or crash, and if I switch to another mode then switch back, sometimes that resolves it.

To fix portrait mode freezing, go to Settings (top section, mod settings) -> Advanced -> FIX -> Viewfinder Format. Then select YUV-420_888 (default).
Very good. The viewfinder fix seems to have worked for portrait mode, and helped with all other modes as well.
Any other settings changes you would recommend making to optimize performance?
Which photo is from the stock cam vs gcam?
I took a few pics just now outside with default camera and then with Google night sight. Google cam pics definitely a little brighter, and much clearer, with more detail than the default cam. Quite pleased.
Got it to work thank you. Had to restart my phone, now everything works.

Night sight is phenomenal. To the point where I use it almost exclusively even in daylight on my Pixel 3. Can;t wait for S10 with gcam port.
How is the shutter delay using the gcam port on the S10? On LGs where I have used gcam, the ZSL would not work and that was the only downside.
When i took picture with night sight.my phone restart it sekf.
I envy you guys. I have got the exynos version and stock cam quality is ****. Miss my pixel 3.

I will check the shutter delay today when I have time. I've only used it for night shots as of now since that was the primary advantage it has over the samsung cam software. I know as of right now, this version doesn't support the wide angle lens, which means it's necessary to keep both sets of software. HOwever, I read in another thread (here or on reddit) that there is now a gcam version that works with JUST the wide angle lens. So hopefully they can combine these and give us a fully working port in the near future.
thanks i will try soon.
On the snap my stock cam sucks also. This google cam and open camera destroy it

Interesting.
Have you found anything that could be of use? Or just cool ?
Nice find.
Both cool and useful
You can tweak Bokeh and blur amounts, in-/decrease bitrates for video and quality of photos, toggle OIS, IR camera, and many more features (including some UI tweaks, like Floating UI button, etc.). This should work on some other OP phones using the OP Camera app as well.
I myself increased the bitrate when filming in 4K60 HEVC, which improved the video quality, but didn't feel the need to modify other features, since I really like the default Oneplus camera quality/performance.

So Uh, maybe an awesome find yet I am not sure how I did it. I was screwing with the settings by searching filter, and the IR settings. Somehow I enabled the infrared light on the phone which gave me night vision with photochrom 0.o I mean its not the best, the light is a bit off center, but it worked. I shot a video while the effects lasted before I eventually RE-MSM flashed the phone back to stock. Is this a normal glitch? The infrared light is between the first and second camera on the back of the phone.
EDIT: I did this on the 11.0.4.4 Global firmware release

Somehow I enabled the infrared light on the phone which gave me night vision with photochrom 0.o I mean its not the best, the light is a bit off center, but it worked. I shot a video while the effects lasted before I eventually RE-MSM flashed the phone back to stock. Is this a normal glitch? The infrared light is between the first and second camera on the back of the phone.
EDIT: I did this on the 11.0.4.4 Global firmware release

That's super cool, which features did you edit in particular?

I've heard one other person had this but it occurred during troubleshooting of the persist partition.
He found it by accident too.
Does sound cool, be nice to know how you got it.

Ill have to figure this one out. If its any point of reference using the search bar and putting in filter, and IR are how I found the option. Im on 10.5.10 ATM because I wanted to see the difference between the options presented pre photochrom removal. Ill go ahead and reflash OOS 11 so I can try to mess with it again lol. Hopefully we get TWRP 3.5.1 soon that was one of the other reason I went with 10 instead of 11 this last flash. Hope you all are having a wonderful day
Nice trick! Any way to get past the 5 minutes time limit when recording 4K60fps videos?
Edit: Not related to the time limit and not even sure it's of any interest to anyone else but managed to activate the Cyberpunk2077 filters. Some of you may have activated them through some ADB commands or magisk modules or some specific apps/roms already, but I believe it's nice to know it can also be activated through this simple command.
Genius find! I even enabled EIS for 4k60 video, woohoo
Excellent app and camera possibilities! Kudos
Thanks for sharing the info.
I posted the Oneplus 9 Pros Camera app with Hasselblad features as you can see in the quoted post.

I was able to extract the OneplusCamera.apk.
It's v6.2.22, and it's got all the nice orange features, and the Hasselblad logo on Pro mode button, but apart from a new Pro mode layout, I haven't noticed any new features compared to the version what I had before (v6.4.44 from APKMirror) on my OP8Pro.
The apk is from 11.2.1.1.LE15DA ROM, Indian version, the one you can find in this article.
I was not able to install it via the package installer by the way, and I had to use the Systemizer Magisk module to install the apk to /system/priv-app/ manually, and after a reboot, the app was usable.
You can download the APK from my Google Drive.
Edit: I have also uploaded the APK to APK mirror.

I was able to enable some extra features, but they don't seem to work unfortunately.
[ DOESN'T WORK ] Focus peeking is only available inside Pro mode settings, but turning it on or off doesn't do anything.
Enable it via: ManualCaptureMode.EnablePeekFocus true
[ DOESN'T WORK FULLY] Tilt shift can be added to the setting as a mode, but choosing it will close the app.
Enable it via: TiltShiftCaptureMode.isEnabled true
Crashing can be solved by setting: TiltShiftCaptureMode.SessionType 0
[ DOESN'T WORK ] Document scanning mode can be added to the settings as a mode, but choosing it will not do anything.
Enable it via: DocumentScanningCaptureMode.isEnabled true
[ WORKS ] Zoom animation is a cool way to gradually zoom to different levels. If you click on 0.6x, it'll "smoothly" zoom out to 0.6x rather than just snapping to that level.
Enable it via: ZoomControl.EnableZoomAnimation true
[ WORKS ] Other features:
Enable zoom in portrait mode: BokehCamera.DisableZoom false
Set lens to wide angle in portrait mode by default: BokehCaptureMode.DefaultZoomIndex 0
Enable OIS in portrait mode: BokehCaptureMode.EnableOis true
Enable zooming with the front camera: CaptureMode.DisableZoomInFrontCamera false
Enable zoom with the telephoto lens within Nightscape: OPNightCamera.EnableTeleZoom true
10x Max zoom level in Timelapse: TimeLapseCaptureMode.LimitMaxZoom 10.0
50x Max zoom level in Video: VideoCaptureMode.LimitMaxZoom 50.0
20x Max zoom level in 40k60 Video: VideoCaptureMode.LimitMaxZoom4K60Fps 20.0
Limit zoom level in video to the max 3x optical zoom: VideoCaptureMode.isLimitMaxOpticalZoomEnabled true
Add Night City filter to the filter list: OPFilterCamera.EnableNightCityFilter true Doesn't work with V6.2.22
Enable OIS in Nightscape video: OPNightCamcorder.EnableOis true
Enable object tracking: ObjectTracking.isEnabled true
Enable object tracking for 60FPS: VideoCaptureMode.EnableObjectTrackingFor60FPS true
Smooth object tracking?? ObjectTracking.SmoothResult true

Interesting, but can't manage to install the app you uploaded. I've got the systemizer module activated in Magisk v22, but not sure how to use it to get your apk installed successfully. Would you please mind describing the process?
What I've done is I put the APK to the root of internal storage.
Open your terminal emulator (I'm using Termux) enter "su" to give root permission, then enter "systemize" to launch the script.
Then you'll need to select the 3rd option which should be "systemize given APK".
Next you'll need to enter the path which should be "/sdcard/OnePlusCamera_v6.2.22.apk" and select to install to "/system/priv-app/"
After the process is done, just restart your phone.
Managed to install this camera updat

Managed to install the app thanks to your help, cool
However, can't manage to get the Cyberpunk filters on, even after activating the feature through Activity Manager... Can you please check if you have them displayed on the camera app? (they were there when I was using app version 6.4).

You're right, doesn't show up with v6.2.22.
In the Oneplus 9 Pros Camera, you can edit 8K60 and even 8K120 Bitrates :O (default: 1.28Gbps). But I didn't find a way to enable the 8K60 and 8K120 modes, yet. App version 6.2.36

Do you mean you still managed to get 8K30 ?? Haven't managed to enable it on my side.
If for some reason you don't want to install ActivityManager and give it root privileges, you can also start the activity using termux and typing in
Code:
su -c am start -n com.oneplus.camera/com.oneplus.camera.FeatureEditorActivity

I'm on the 9 Pro right now, so 8K30 is enabled by default. Would be interesting to see if the other 8K modes can be enabled, too.
