I have the same problem
I think you just have to go on the market and download facebook app, the market say download but this is just an upgrade
After installing, launch it and see if it's working
i have faced the same issues many times...i haven't found any resources about it. Time consuming at it can be (from experience of course) is to scroll down and try to tap allow before it gets covered up again. Sometimes flipping to landscape makes it visible, but only sometimes.
This is a minor annoyance but sometimes I just want to open my camera app and browse photos while my phone is laying on my desk, but when I open the camera app it automatically goes landscape mode and I have to pick the phone up to get it back to portrait. Any body know of a way to cancel this auto-landscape feature in the camera app?
Edit: Just realized I could just go to the "photos" app directly and bypass the camera. This opens in portrait. But also adds another icon to my homescreen. I'd like to just use the camera icon for all of this, so still would like to hear any ideas anyone has
In settings > display and gestures do you have Auto rotation checked?
Mine opens in portrait.
What the heck.
I installed the Google launcher and my camera went all weird.
If I open the camera app from the home screen there is no button to see the video camera or the gallery any longer.
It's like it thinks it open in Facebook sharing a picture where it takes the picture and then the preview shows up with a check and x it only lets you take one photo then closes.
Anyone have this issue?
Apps like Chrome and default apps like Dialer, Messaging, Planner, Gallery just don't respond properly to my touch input. I have to touch super hard/ bash on the screen for these to respond, and I have no idea why this is happening.
Things I've tried:
I saw a previous empty thread asking for how to fix the UI lag in Chrome and default applications like Dialer, Messaging, Planner, Gallery etc., but there were no replies there.
Every other app like Firefox, Swiftkey keyboard, and other third-party apps work flawlessly and touch is instantaneous on them.
Have tried uninstalling updates for Chrome and Android System Webview and even cleared cache and everything for these but no luck.
Not something that was happening since the beginning. Earlier touch used to work properly in Chrome also. No idea what is causing this issue.

Try to disable "Air View". If it works, you have found the reason.
All the applications you mention use that feature.
You can test it by dialing * # 0 * #
and tap on TSP hovering
(If you are stuck on tsp hovering test use volume+ to exit)

Awesome! The culprit was AirView... they're working fine now! :good:
Hi guys I've noticed that after update 146, PiP mode for almost any app is not working. I've checked and the option for picture in picture is enabled. For example Youtube stops playing immediately after I exit the app and enter another, and no matter what I do I can't trigger PiP. However PiP in Huawei Videos is working fine.
How is this option for you? Can you get it to work or do you have any solutions?

I think you need a YouTube subscription for it to work in the background including the PiP mode
Well I didn't know that. Thanks! But isn't at least supposed to continue playing in the background? I was using iPhone since 2007 and on iPhone, it continues playing even if you exit the app.

I find PIP to be so unreliable. Yes, it's definitely not working on many of the apps
Hello i think that find the problem. the PIP work when the select the control with the 3 button on parameter system. But if you select the control by gesture, the PIP not work, not youtube, not google maps Why ?
If you use gestures you should be able to get pip by swiping to the recent apps, YouTube, vanced, chrome, ECT all working fine with me, I'm using fluid gestures.
There is a older thread somewhere about this.
For me it does not work. I have a huawei mate 20 pro android 9. Do you know how? Because actually on the honor 9 lite with android 8 it works well
Gestures seem to mess up the pip mode
When I go into YouTube and then swipe up to go home, the YouTube playing minimizes down into the YouTube icon on the desktop. When I use the three button navigation it works as it should. Note this is only an issue when I'm using the Huawei default home launcher. EMUI 9.1 android 9
Problem:
The Picture-in-picture window does not appear for apps such as Google Maps and YouTube when the user swipes to return to the home screen.
Cause:
Currently, the Picture-in-picture feature does not support the Gestures navigation mode.
Solution:
Go to Settings > System > System navigation, and set the navigation mode to Three-key navigation.
