Hi,
Maybe someone has an idea: I've want to access my phone's GPS data on my Fitbit Charge 2 - this is not working (normal syncing however is working). The problem seems to be, that my bluetooth library on the smartphone doesn't allow 3rd party app code to access BLE. Is there a chance to update the bluetooth library?

Thanks for your help in advance,

Hello all,
I'm after a little bit of guidance on how I might add Bluetooth support to an Android powered Car stereo. It is a "Road Veles" single DIN WinCE and Android device with a 7" flip out screen. The reason I bought this stereo is to run an app by the name of MSDroid. This app was to connect to my vehicle's engine management system via Bluetooth.
Can't post links yet, easy search on Google for Road Veles, look for hit on Chinavasion
The specs say it has Bluetooth, but having tested the device out on the work bench what the specs don't say is that the bluetooth is only accessible for handsfree from WinCE, there is no bluetooth for Android. WiFi via USB dongle works great. I have purchased but not yet received a combined WiFi and Bluetooth dongle. I would very much like to have this combined dongle work with the device. The Bluetooth control is not visible under WiFi control inside settings like it is in my Android phone.
Can anybody point me in the direction of where to start with this? Can I root the device and mod to add bluetooth? Is there another ROM I could run? I have done a lot of searching but can't see much at all out in internet land on this stereo!
Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,
Arran
Hi, I'm not sure how these sort of things usually work, what sort of dollar value would usually be associated with making a some tweaks to an Android build? ...
Hi again, still looking into this. Any ideas how to tweak the Android 4.0.4 OS to make bluetooth appear inside the settings menu?
Hi guys, so I have a Chinese made android deck running 4.1.2 with I guess is a custom rom from their factory. It works pretty well but they have locked the bluetooth function to only allow incoming inconnections (meaning only my phone can connect to the device). I have an OBD bluetooth transmitter that I would like to connect to the device but the "bluetooth" options menu in settings is hidden. I don't see any reason why my bluetooth OBD can't connect with the deck seeing it connects to my phone fine. Are there any workaround/apps/xposed modules that will allow me to accomplish this?
Let me know if the explanation is not clear. Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for the answer to this also... I tried looking for a bluetooth connection app with no luck. My tocado android double din is running kit kat 4.2.2 and I assume they only allow bluetooth connections for audio and only want you to buy their obd 2 device. I can go into the device settings in the torque app and see my phone and other bluetooth devices but somehow my obd device isn't reckognized... it seems they are blacklisted somehow. Has anyone tried a wifi or usb bluetooth obd2 device? Maybe that will work?
Hello,
Install the tablet in the car, I wanted to use it as an HFP.
Is there any application that supports Bluetooth talks, between your tablet and mobile phone.
I tried TabletTalk application but it only shows notifications about incoming call.
I searched everywhere to no avail solution.
Such a solution is in 2din car audio system based on android.
I do not know how it's made in china radio.
He may use a bluetooth dongle otg HFP?
The following recording, you can see this function from 1: 50min.

Hi fellow android friends,
I have an older car with a big radio slot. I thought about integrating an android tablet there and connect it to the car stereo, but I have some questions if some features would be possible.
Basically I want to pair my phone to the tablet via bluetooth to mainly stream music to it. But I also want navigation (Google Maps) which I could simply use by creating a hotspot from my phone automatically when it's connected via bluetooth to the tablet. Also I want Call integration. So that I can start, answer and end calls I get on my phone from my tablet. I would set up a microphone in the car for better quality.
Is this possible? If so, how? With specific apps? Or flashing Android Auto somehow to the tablet?
I have an Erisin ES4700FR head unit in my car running Android 5.1. I am trying to use an OBD diagnostics app (AlfaObd) and I'm having problems with connecting the app to the Elm327 Bluetooth dongle. When I want to select the bluetooth device there is a system prompt to allow the app to turn on bluetooth. When I click allow the app freezes and nothing happens. Bluetooth is already enabled although there is no BT icon on the status bar. Also Torque pro is using the dongle without any issues. Seems like only this app is asking for bluetooth access but since this is controlled by the system itself is it possible to somehow permanently grant this access to the app rather than have it constantly ask for it?
