Hello,
I have a very wierd problem in my LG G5, I have the phone for 2 years and last week when I disconnected the charger from the phone it showed that the phone is still charging (the battery icon showed that and also the red led stayed on).
The wierd is that in the setting menu under battery it shows that the phone is discharging which is the opposite to what appears in the battery icon.
I have tried to replace battery and charger, to make factory reset, and the problem stayed. I've also cleaned the usb port with alcohol and air pressure and it didn't help.
The very big problem apart from the visual problem is that the battery is discharging now very quickly. Before the problem started, if i had 100% in the night, the next morning was about 85%-90%, but now from 100% it drops to 40%...
* I have android 7 nougat since october...
Here is a picture which illustrates the problem:

Guys, I dropped the phone for the first time earlier. Now there's this prompt on the notification (see attached screenshot)

There's a irritating triangular sign on the notification bar which I can't clear.
The biggest problem is I can't charge the phone. I'm only able to charge only if I plug in the charger when the phone is off.
Any clues??

Something is damaged Maybe your microUSB? And perhaps thats what is causing your charging problems
Same issue
Hey did you happend to solve that issue. Having the same issue... Can not charge my phone. Phone charge shows 100 and when I unplug it drops down to lower number. It all happens after I got the same message trying to connect my flash usb drive. Please help anyone.
take your phone to a repair center. It might need a usb port replacement.
hello.
There was no a similar topic in the LG forum.
Recently I bought a used LG L5 II, seemed good but after two weeks I have problems with charging. The phone reacts to connect to the charger when it is turned off as if he had no batteries, and is not charging, I can't turn on phone in this situation.
The phone once was fell on ground.
When'll leave the phone turned on for a few minutes, often the phone is charging and I can use it without a problem with charging.
A few days ago the phone reboot a lot of times, I did a hard reset and it works.
Battery is suitable for LG L3 II and there I load it when I have no time to play with L5.
I also noticed a strange behavior, when I reset the phone with 20% for example battery after turning on show on 80%, even when normally charged is always stay long at 99%. Is this a problem with hardware or an android?
I'm counting on your help.

I have had my Samsung A5 2016 (A510F) for 9 months. A month ago something weird happened . When the battery completely drains ( sometimes it completely shutdowns randomly at 1 2 or 0% ) and I connect the charger, it doesn't charge and shows the grey charging icon. Tried waiting for minutes and it doesn't charge unless I pull out the cable from the mobile and connect it back. It then shows 0% then 1% after a minute and charges normally. Does it sound like a faulty battery or a faulty charging port ( Given that the battery works fine excluding the shutdown at between 10 to 14% sometimes) . Thanks !
A reference image from the internet is included ( Not for my a5 )

This morning, my phone was at 100% battery.
I used it for just like 5 minutes to send a message and check an address on internet.
I just awaked it and the battery is at 60% now !
The battery curve dropped all day long while i was working ! It never happened before and when i check the battery usage it tells me the phone was awake for 2/3 of the day ???
Look at Awake VS Screen On time.
Also i recently switched all my app to manual power management with just 3 of them that can run in background (message, mail and inoreader)

Check the screen attached, what do you think ?
Looks like Google Play Services ****ed it today...
I'm switching back all apps to automatic battery management to see what happens tomorrow.
In first picture, tap again with your finger on exclamation mark ( ! ), and it will show you what app exactly is using more battery then normal.
Overnight my Pace dropped from 50% to zero. The battery is normally fine & it seems to be ok now but what could cause such a sudden drop ?
was it in direct liquid contact? showers ? pool?
No & it's seems ok now. It was a sudden overnight drop which is strange as usually, with the watch on DND, it hardly drops at all. I wonder if the screen stayed on ?

I spoke too soon. It's discharging faster than before the sudden drop.
Edit: Tried airplane mode & luckily it's clearly a software problem
I think I found it. I just looked at the watch & there was a custom Amazmod notification from half an hour ago still on the screen. The battery graph verifies it.
