Stereo Speakers Pocophone F1 - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

I've notice that when I play a music or a video on youtube, the bottom speaker (between the type-c port), especially on the bottom left doesn't have sound output but the bottom right speaker has sound output. Idk if this is a hardware problem or Xiaomi did not include a speaker on the bottom left.

Speaker echo issue during internet (video) calls
Hello sir. The issue for me is gone for top mic when talking on both cellular and internet (Telegram call). But if I use the Google Duo app, the call recipient hear himself, sometimes there is a gain effect (for example: when the phones are nearby), sometimes I can hear myself. Can you offer some possible fixes to this? Thanks for advance, have a good day.

Speaker and microphone problem (headphone jack works)

Hello.
One day my i9100 got into water and after that it started to behave oddly. It has problems with speaker (I can't hear voice calls) and people who I call can't hear me so it has faulty microphone too. The tricky part is that headphone jack works fine, same as microphone on the bottom, I can talk with people with connected headphones and another speaker works (eg. it makes beepy sounds when I start to record the movie).
I have replaced speaker module (upper one) with no success. Same for software change (stock to CM9).
Do you have any clue what can I do with it?

[Q] What is a good STEREO recording app that actually works?

Is there an app that utilizes both mic for stereo recording?
I was using "Audio Recorder" by Sony that is on the play store on my Sony Z3 compact and it definitely recorded from the top and bottom mics separately producing a stereo recording. I just tried it on my S6 edge and it is in mono so I don't think the phone records in stereo I'm afraid.
isnt the stock voice recorder with interview mode a stereo recording? Seems to be since its supposed to be a directional recording that uses both mics

It appears the Samsung S6 has 2 microphones; one at the top and one on the bottum.
It appeared that with the Field recorder app from Pfitzinger/PVD it is possible to make stereo recordings without any external device.
This app has several mic-setting.
You have to choose the following setting on the home screen :
- stereo-mode
- mic-setting: mic-C
- no monitor (no headset)
In this mode the application makes stereo recordings.
The top mic records in the left channel and the bottum mic in the right channel.
Other mic-settings make the app switch to mono; even in the stereo mode on the main screen.
I also recommend this app because of the possibility to e adjust the eq during recording.

Peter
I'm just asking do not kill me for that ?? are you sure that you can use the two microphones in the device for recording?? I know that one is only for the phone to detect the outside noice and make the call as quiet as possible without the external noise to interfere.

Usually you can test by blowing first at the bottom and then at the top of the phone - you will hear the loud sound first in one ear (from the bottom mic), and then in the other ear (from the top mic).
Hi-Q Mp3 Rec works too

Earphone Increasing/Decreasing and Jumping Musics

Hi, there!
So, i've got an earphone with a built-in microphone (model Audio Technica ATH-CKS55XiS). Recently i got a trouble with it (the left side stopped), and took it to an assistance to solve, and probably they weld the wires and it was when this issue started. So, when i connect the earphone in any cell phone, the device begin to increase/decrease and jump the musics (and the volume of the ringtones as well), what made me think that it's probably a bad contact where they weld the wires (it happens when i move the wires near to the microphone).
I tested a lot of apps to solve this trouble (Headset Button Controll and others), but i can't solve.
is there any way to block the earphone of controlling the volume of the android?
Thanks.

Issue with Microphone and Noise cancellation

Hi guys, I got an on going issue I can't manage to fix, for a very long time.
I tried all types of MIUI versions including the latest 10.3.5, and all Betas up to 9.6.27 firm+ven & ROM but I think it is deeper in kernel/Firmware level than ROM.
I even tried Pixel experience ROM..
the Issue is that on handsfree/loudspeaker voice/video calls (Skype, LINE, WhatsAPP, regular Voice via SIM card, etc.) the other person on the other side of the line claims that they hear the sound metallic and a bit distorted,
but the real problem they claim all the time my sound breaks and it is impossible for them to understand a full sentence because of those breaks.
the Issue of sound distortion and breaking up only happens on the speaker calls (hands-free).
Hands-free calls regardless to what program. it could be regular SIM card call, WhatsAPP calls, skype, whatever, you name it. it is on all, as long as it is speaker/hands-free call.
both Voice calls and Video calls, all suffer the same
when NOT on hands-free. e.g. using headset (wired or Bluetooth) or just holding the phone to my ear, all works great, sound is perfect and no breakup.
that is true to all call types (SIM call, WhatsApp, skype, etc.)
after deeply investigating, all the signs points to the noise cancellation feature the Phone's software as the perpetrator, for some reason the noise cancellation
is to aggressive which causes the metallic sound (common know sound characteristic of noise cancellation filters) and it cuts my speak believing it is ambient sound
how do you guys overcome this issue? or How do I globally remove noise cancellation all together??
here is what I found (after blocking some MICs with a masking tape in different scenarios):
Handsfree/loud speaker call always use the Top MIC only (not using the bottom one), you block Top mic, no sound on the other side of the line
non-handsfree (placing phone at your ear), always uses bottom MIC (blocking top MIC will have no effect). However , and that is the interesting part..
remember i said non-handsfree uses bottom MIC? that is true in general and in normal operation, but if you block the bottom MIC, than it would switch to top MIC (unlike hands-free/speaker that always using top MIC, no matter what and never uses bottom MIC), once you open / release the blocking of bottom MIC, the non-handsfree call would switch back to bottom MIC.
so my conclusion is since the issue happens only on hands-free/loud speaker voice/video calls and hands-free/loud speaker calls only use TOP MIC, that the top MIC is the ****ed up one.

Hello Friend. i am facing the same issue. Did you find solution to this problem?

how to disable earpiece speaker?

i've got a Samsung S10 5G and I want to disable the earpiece speaker for all audio other then phone calls is this possible? it's configured out of the box to use both the speaker on the bottom and the one for taking calls to play music and video to make it sound like left and right speakers but the earpiece speaker make the chassis vibrate so much and hurts my hands after a few videos at comfortable and higher volumes... I just want audio to come out of the bottom speaker... I've searched all the settings but nothing disables the earpiece speaker even mono audio... any suggestions? I just want the chassis to stop vibrating when I turn up the volume and this is what I have come to find because my S8 never had vibrating chassis from speaker because it didn't use earpiece speaker for videos and music like my S10 5G
