Hey all,
basically I ****ed up. I installed 9.0.0.161 through TWRP, forgot to clean everything so naturally while I had Pie running, everything was strange and slow working. When I went to TWRP and format everything (the option where you have to type 'yes'), it couldn't boot.
Now the only thing I can do is flash stuff over fastboot, and I tried flashing the system.img and kernel.img from the BLA-L09C432B157 (8.0.0.157) firmware. It didn't work, and I can't even access eRecovery or anything else than fastboot.
What should I do? I realize this has been my fault for trying stuff out without thinking twice. >.<
EDIT: I should say it's a European Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L09C432)

Well, now I'm in eRecovery, thanks for that. However, when I try to download latest version and recovery, it just tells me "Getting package info failed".. how should I proceed?

When I try to just boot into custom recovery, everything goes well except that the phone just reboots. it does not boot into custom recovery. I heard it from somewhere that fastboot boot recovery.img command did not work anymore. Is this true?

Hey guys, newbie to installing custom ROMs so be gentle with me.
Someone gave me a rooted Xperia Z Ultra at Android 4.3.1. I previously wiped the device back to factory settings because the previous user didn't want their old data on it.
I wanted to install the latest ROM for it, so I found this thread and decided to give it a go:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...elopment/rom-marshmallow-6-0-z-ultra-t3224321
I downloaded the image files and booted into fastboot mode.
ran the fastboot commands to install each img file and reboot the device. See below:

Once it rebooted it never came back up again. I waited about 30 minutes just to be sure. The computer still recognizes it and I can boot into fastboot mode, but the phone never boots back into regular boot mode anymore.
Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this?
Thanks

If the ZU had 4.3 on it, its possible you have to flash the latest stock rom. I think I recall reading something about needing to flash the latest stock at least once before flashing any mm or nougat rom.
Flash the 4.4.4 ftf with flashtool. Then install xzu dual recovery by nut. After that install whatever ROM/mod you like.
Now that we have our own forum I figure I might as well put this here (taken from guide here).
1. Unlock the boot loader with the instructions / app from Asus
2. Download TWRP. Specifically twrp-3.1.0-0-Z01H-20170408.img ** [edit: also rename to twrp.img once downloaded]
4. Reboot to fastboot by rebooting the phone, and pressing the down arrow during the unlock screen.
5. Flash the recovery image `fastboot flash recovery twrp.img`
6. I had to power cycle the phone completely to get TWRP running.

Sending 'recovery' (31000 KB) FAILED (Write to device failed (Unknown error))
fastboot: error: Command failed
appers. Any ideas why this happens?

some weeks ago i read on forum that miui10.0.3 or 4 has some fastboot errors,
for example if you have flashed miui10.0.3 or 10.0.4 and then try to write recovery it will give error in fastboot
i would suggest flash miui10.0.1 or earlier via miuiflasher fastboot rom and then try!
