Hello everyone, my redmi 5 Rosy has a problem with the Fingerprint sensor that does not work, at the beginning I had installed the official Pixel Experience and gave me problems too, they released an update of the EP but sent the BootLoop phone , then I installed Lineage OS 15 and Aosp extended 9.0 GSI but it gives me problems too, how do I fix the FP?

I'm using PE too.
Same to me, FP sensor not work in latest update oreo.
Rollback to previous version of PE will solved the problem.
I'm Using PE official 8.1 update 08.11.2018
Just waiting for developer to fix the problem on next update.

well, i tried cm14.1 and resurrection remix nougat builds around 1 month ago. they had camera problem, like flash doesnt sync, no video rec etc.
till now, is any rom available with no such camera issues?

No, it is common issue on Nougat based ROM

Go for 5.7.4 RR ... It's MM but rockstable. Nougat is, right now, not worth trying if you rely on a working phone.
Hey Guys,
the fingerprint sensor of my redmi note 3 doesn't work anymore. I opened the phone yesterday but I have plugged the fingerprint sensor cable back in. It worked for 5 minutes after I put the phone back together, I just had to set a new fingerprint in the settings. But then suddently it stopped working. The strage thing is that when I want to set a new fingerprint I can tap 1 time and it gets recognized but I have to tap more than 1 time to save the fingerprint.
EDIT : Normally I use CM 12.1 by Sicmosh, I reinstalled CM 12.1 but still no function. Then I installed MIUI 8 latest China Developer Rom via MI Flash tool and it didn't work too.

What rom are you using? I had this problem once and it was because I had xposed on a cm12.1 rom

Oh sorry I forgot to write which roms I tried.

After replacing the touch panel, touch is only working in MIUI ROMs (Global stable and developer). Other then MIUI ROMs touch is not working in custom recoveries and custom ROMs. I am using OTG mouse to flash custom ROM via TWRP. I already tried Nitrogen OS (Oreo), Lineage OS 15, Lineage OS 14.1, Pixel Experience 8.1 and ResurrectionRemix 5.8.X but in none of those ROMs touch is working. I tried AGNi 11.6 with those ROMs but still no luck. Which Version of Agni Kernel you used ?

Flashing 9.0 Pie ROMs on Xiaomi mi 8 Lite results in sound not working on device. Which means no games, no YouTube, no functionality
However flashing the 8.1 Oreo ROMs are fine

I Installed the MIUI BETA build on 9.0 Pie, updated MIUI fully, then reflashed TWRP and installed a 9.0 Custom ROM
and I have working sound. :good:

Good to know. I just got my phone this past Monday and am awaiting the bootloader unlock. I did see that some of the custom ROMs did mention, you must come from a Pie OS before flashing. Guess now I know why. Thanks!

I installed some custom roms for my Redmi note 9s ( curtana ) : GG experience, Evolution X via TWRP 3.4.1B version 0530 ( i can not insert the link cus i'm new member sorry :crying: )
The result is the vibration ALWAYS stops working everytimes after 30 minutes reboot. SAME AS EVERY CUSTOM ROM but MIUI works FINE !
Anybody the same. Pls gimme some comments and solutions !!:crying::crying::crying::crying:

I have try PE Plus first day after unlock boot-loader but have vibration issue, at moment i have preferred MIUI 12 (turkey)

I have Redmi Note 9s (curtana) for a couple of months now. In MIUI the vibration always works fine but in any custom rom the vibration stops working after using for about 20-50 minutes. The vibration starts to work again after a reboot but it stops again after a little while.
I see that I am not the only one with this type of problem. Is there even a possible fix for this? Tried multiple firmwares, a lot of different roms (android 10 and 11) but it still always happens.
