Read the whole OP! Be respectful to each other and don't ask for ETAs, it's considered as being rude!
AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX with various customizations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended
#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. We are not thinking of cherry-picking every feature out there. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.
-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Yes, full Substratum support!
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.
-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcat and the procedure to reproduce it.
->How to take Logcats?

-Adaway is not working
->Download it from here Adaway
-SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.

Even if you recommend clean flash is it still useable when dirty flashed or better wait till OTA will work?

OTA is not planned. I usually use dirty flash rom . But clean flash always welcome. Еspecially when changing from another rom.

Yes. You can always try. How are the problems then only to do clean flash.

Coming from 5.7, seems to all work well but Santander app is no longer working with Magisk 18 hidden. Worked fine under 5.7. I get past the root detection screen then stuck on "opps, there was an error" any ideas?

Can anyone tell if the perf Eui was added in the AEX 6.1

I noticed the space under Settings/Extensions/System/Buttons is missing the area used to customize the hardware buttons. Are they someplace else, or have u not implemented them yet?

Building a ROM from scratch for the YP-GS1

Ok, so I have downloaded the YP-GS1_NA_GB_Opensource.zip from the opensource Samsung website. I have then followed the instructions on the source.android.com website. So far I am at the repo sync portion. I have read ahead while waiting for the sync to finish and I am a bit confused as to what it is going to take to make a flashable ROM from the Samsung Opensource and the Android Source. I know that it is for Gingerbread, but I would like to try to get Jelly Bean working. Am I wasting my time? If not, could I get some instruction?
Thanks!

Thanks!

Don't try and build jellybean yet. Get GB working first then you can work on getting CM7 for your device. Then work on CM9 and the 3.0 kernel. Then you will have the right files to build jellybean from. However if you can find an identical device (same CPU, GPU, board, partitions etc...) then you might be able to go straight to jellybean
status bar error
i have started making a rom and i have just added slide to dismiss for the status bar, but then when i go to do it the status bar closes and i get this error from alogcat:

Can't install APK |No content provider found for permission revoke:

I can't seem to install 'Bladeslinger' (from the humble mobile bundle)
on my Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket.
I have 1gb of ram, and 450mb of free space on the device and 4gb of free space on the internal sd card.
and I re-download the game 3 times using the humble bundle app, and the web page, but every time I try to install it,
it says "could not be installed". or something like that.
here is the log cat info:

I emailed their support about two weeks ago, and got no reply,
I also tried to check the support page, And I had no luck there either.
other things i've tried:
+install from ADB
(It said: /sbin/sh: /system/bin/pm: Permission denied)
+install from ADB to SD card
(samething)
+Install APK from file manager
(Error says "...was not installed")
Any Ideas?
Is that a system app from other device if yes then you can't as system app uses some of there own permissions which are not available in general android ones

Hit Thanx Button if i helped you!
It's not a system app, it's just a game,
And it was a downloaded apk,
Not transferred from another device.
Dose that help?
Why not download it from play store
If its not there then your device does not support it
If you say it's paid no help from me I oppose wares

apk was not pirated -
you can take a look here
Code:
https://www.humblebundle.com/
It was dowloaded through app that humble bundle provides AFAIK
and i think its also support SGS2
looks like that folder where apk is stored doesnt have write premission
Sorry for the confusion,
I did buy it,
But not from the play store,
I bought it from the humble indie bundle,
It's a charity sale thing, it's only like $3 on the store,
So I could buy it again, but I'd rather not spend the extra money.
Here are some tips I think would help. From my experience with "not been able to install APK" first thing I do is to get some sort of file explorer. This enables you to locate and install files from your sd card with ease. Now, there are varieties of file explorers in the market, try and grab one.
Now there are three means of getting the file explorer installed on your device. First, is Bluetooth. Place the APK of the explorer in another device that can transfer. Now note, phones like Nokia will not do the trick, see if you can lay your hands on a sony ericsson. That's why I love Sony, they are not selfish.
Secondly, download directly from the market
Thridly, use your device pc suit, with that you can place the explorer apk in your pc then connect your device and install the APK using the suit.
Something else you might try is using Norton utilities. Its a multi level file manager. With it you can install apk files that are placed on your memory card. Good luck.

Use es file explorer it comes with a apk installer which is different from stock give it a try

I have also tried this, I downloaded the apk from the humble bundle, and copied it to my phone, I tried Samsungs file manager, and es file manager, both were unable to install it.

What phone do you have? A lot of the HumbleBundle games require ARM7 CPU. If you have an ARM6 phone, you will not be able to install it.
This is why I was unable to install World of Goo I bought from HumbleBundle on my Samsung Galaxy Ace.
Having the same issue on mine. I flashed paranoidandroid on my Sprint Note II last night and have been having this problem ever since. I've tried it with a few apps, like the humble bundle app and slidescreen launcher, and all of them have the same issue. When I go to install the install button is there, it just cannot be pressed, only the cancel button. I checked to ensure that Unknown Sources was checked, even toggled it a few times to make sure. Same with Verify Apps, no luck. I don't know if it's an issue with PA or it was happening before, because I haven't had to manually download an app in a long time.
For anyone interested, it's PA ver. 3.55 and Android ver 4.2.2 and I've tried installing through ES and stock browsers.

[GUIDE] How To Port FIUI to Any Device

Hello everyone!
I'm here again to put together a detailed guide on "How To Port FIUI", which is a ROM that's improving each day with an iOS-based interface and CM11-based system.

FIUI is a Chinese ROM based off of CyanogenMod. The Future Interface UI is made by the AZ Fuga Team!
FIUI's concept is simple: Remove redundant features that bloat up the system, maximize functionality, all the while maintaining a gorgeous UI!

This guide is applicable to any device and FIUI version.
Click to expand...

Having said that, let's start!
1. Understanding Porting:
What you'll need:
WinRAR
Notepad++ (recommended; wordpad is ok)
Basic knowledge about copy-paste
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
First of all, you need to know some concepts:
Base ROM:
The ROM which is developed for your device. Important: due to FIUI is CM11 based, you could only use CyanogenMod 11 as base ROM.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Port ROM:
The ROM which you want to port to your device. In this case: FIUI (Doesn't matter for which device is made)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Once we've learnt that. Let's prepare everything to start working.
2. Setting Up the Environment:
Time to organize files and folders before start porting. :highfive:
Step 1:
Create to different folders in your favourite directory:
CM11 (Base ROM)
FIUI (Port ROM)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Step 2:
Take any CM11 which is running on your device and extract it WinRAR. Copy it content in CM11 folder.
Then, do the same with FIUI ROM, pasting it content in FIUI folder.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Having done that, you're prepared to port! :laugh:
3. Porting the ROM:
Here's the "difficult" part of this guide.
Firstly, delete those folders of Base ROM
system/app
system/media
system/priv-app
And replace them with "App", "Media" and "Priv-app" folders from Port ROM (FIUI)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
In FIUI, go to system/etc/permissions folder and look for com.htc.software.market.xml. If it's available, copy it to system/etc/permissions folder of CM11
Do the same procedure with libAppDataSearch.so, which should be located in system/lib folder of FIUI.
*Remember: it doesn't matter if you don't find those files on FIUI ROM*
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
From FIUI, copy "su" file, located at system/xbin. Paste it in system/xbin folder of CM11 and replace it.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
In CM and FIUI, open framework-res.apk (located at system/framework) with WinRAR, and navigate to the res/xml folder (in both files).
Now, move those files directly from CM11 framework-res.apk into FIUI framework-res.apk :
eri.xml
storage_list.xml
apn.xml
power-profile.xml
One you've done that, copy system/framework folder from FIUI and paste it into CM11 folder. Attention: choose combine content, and replace when asked.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Open build.prop of CM11 folder with Notepad++. Paste this code at the bottom of the file:
Code:
#fiui build
fiui.ver.name=beta_x.xx.
fiui.ver=1
fiui.navbar=0
fiui.traffic=1
Change the values according to the FIUI version that you're porting.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
After that, you've finished the hard work.
4. Repacking the ROM:
Finally, go to CM11 folder and select all the content (Meta-INF, boot.img, system, etcetera) and zip them using WinRAR. Now flash it and enjoy a Future Interactive UI :highfive:
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Done. You've ported FIUI to your device!
Press thanks if I help you

Maybe it's due to the base ROM you've chosen. Also you can try to get logcat.
