Greetings to all.
I have a lg v30 + h933 and it turns out that every time I try to enter settings, I get the message of which settings were stopped and so it does not allow me to enter settings, try erasing cache from the same application, forcing the arrest and there is no solution. Restore from factory or the problem continues, I do not know what else to do. Someone with a good heart who can help me with the request. Thank you.
It seems this problem is caused by corrupted cache-files or troubles with the RAM(-Files) or 3rd Party Applications.
Try to restart in safe mode (While phone is on, hold power button -> hold for 3 seconds "Shutdown")
This will start your phone without 3rd Party Apps - if you can enter settings now, deinstall the last installed apps which could cause the problem. You could try to wipe cache data in Apps from Settings.
If it dont works you could try to wipe cache partition or restore to factory if you didnt tried till now.
Did you have installed TWRP or do you have Stock Recovery?
Do you have a GCam 6 port installed? I had the same issue until I uninstalled the buggy GCam port I had installed.

erase data and cache of all my applications and the error disappeared, start a port of the gcam and the error came back, uninstall and now everything is fine

You know of some port of the gcam that is stable for the v30 and includes night sight and wide angle
Same problem on my H930!
Also I'm looking for a GCam Port with night sight and wideangle.
I've been using this one for Night Sight and haven't had any problems so far: NoHex_MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2a+.apk

That version has not the option to choose the wide angle camera...

NVM - I found the solution:
You have to open Settings and in BSG MOD settings activate "Add AUX to Camera Switch". Once done, go back to the cam and switch the cam with the bottom left icon twice. It will swith between Normal Cam, Front Cam and Wide Cam.
Hope it helps.
A common problem that causes certain settings pages to crash is having a theme applied to the system (At least in most of the cases I've seen)
If settings is just crashing immediately when you open it then this would be a different issue.

Does anyone have any information or a possible solution?

try vignette for flash.
vignette isn't working. with the MIUI camera the dev's instructions are to switch off full screen due to some glitch that causes no picture. when i load this camera application i receive the same glitch, can not see picture what so ever.
i explored the settings in the app and there is no appropriate selection to be able to switch as i would with the MIUI camera. it seems this app isn't compatible with the rom.
I use the LED light app and just leave the light on while I take a pic >.>...
LED app like Torch? to activate the camera flash like an independent flash light?
Tried Torch, the app crashed. So I uninstalled it. Currently searching the market to see if anything is going to be compatible here. There must be some sort of fix as this flash problem wasnt listed in the dev's build release notes.
I use this https://market.android.com/details?id=jp.picolyl.led_light
even has a widget I put on my desktop... walk around my house at night like this...
i was hoping that would work
but it didn't
app installs. app loads. when i turn on the flash, nothing happens
leads me to assume there has to be a patch, because again, it must be rom related
Vignette seems to work for me. I have it set to auto flash and it comes on when I touch the screen.
Or is the point that you would rather use the miui camera?
Sorry if I misunderstood
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
when i start up Vignette i have absolutely no picture. just distorted colored stripes across the screen.
the miui camera was indicated as being faulty in full screen mode. within the release notes there were instructions to open the settings within MIUI camera and change off of full screen to resolve the picture issue.
as per developers ROM documentation:
Known bugs:
- Phone reboots when you press exit in Root Explorer (not included)
- MIUI camera has messed up screen (fix this by going into miui cam settings and turn off "Full screen"
that issue is the exact same thing that I am experiencing in Vignette. with MIUI camera i was able to make the appropriate change and restore full picture.
with Vignette no option presents itself to enable me to do this. i dont necessarily care which app i use to take pictures as long as i am able to operate the flash and sustain full camera functionality.
both miui camera the stock camera are not functioning with flash for me. i have set to automatic within miui camera and even still the flash fails to initiate.
even if i switch to "ON" within MIUI camera that doesn't work either. the stock camera app has no flash control option in its settings. and so far the third party apps i've tried such as "camera 360" resulted in a message saying my phone doesn't have flash. and Vignette was not resolving picture. i was unable to locate a respective setting similar to that of MIUI camera to initiate a functional view. therefore was forced to uninstall
Attached a temporary solution
Slightly improved brightness over my original: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=996973
I'm working on flashlight fix to work with vignette. Hopefully Trip will fix it too in next release
nice thanks. would this apk just manually be pushed through ADB to sytem/apps? or do i have the option to install straight from SD?
im going to go ahead and try this out. thanks again.
side note: is it correct to assume a pending update for this build considering it was released as a "final version" it would be nice to see some fixes implemented to further stability and full functionality.
another issue ive experienced over the past couple days back and forth between this rom is particularly when files are in midst of being transferred to sd card. but not limited to. the phone seems to force reboot. and this does not cease. case in point. i initiated sd mounting and upon hitting confirm, phone went into power cycle.
update: *Torch works perfect. I hit thanks

vignette depreciated version works perfectly
i installed the demo. and i had the same screen glitch as stated in the miui release notes. ill try a second install but if theres nothing in the settings similar to miui camera im assuming im just going to see the same screen flicker present itself

I have bought the depreciated version and even though it works great on latest MIUI, flash still doesn't work.
so .... like you said .... depreciated?
turns out it doesn't work after all. wonderful
i can understand the picture part working, unlike the demo. but if flash doesn't work. it doesn't turn out to be an all in one solution. flash is the issue here. i can utilize either miui or even stock camera for the pictures. its the flash that is giving complications.

Use the torch app with it
i guess the torch app will suffice. its going to have to because every app ive tried doesn't recognize the flash function. its a smart work around.
i noticed an update pack released for the rom hopefully flash will be noted for a fix sometime in the future. thanks everyone

I don't think it worked with any roms did it? I don't even think it worked with stock
your right. it never worked. with anything.
although i must say i never tested it on 6.1.3 rom release. but with stock it was working for me. at least it would turn on
I download Cm9 beta with camera and camera work but after 15 min the camera not work i don't know why ?? i want fix it please if any body know to solve this problem tell me .. im waiting
Is it coming back with an error "cannot connect to camera"? if it is the go to settings - manage apps - camera - and force stop and clear data
after you do what dude^ said, try downloading a third party camera app from the market. not saying it will fix the issue your having but ive noticed on roms with known camera issues (only as long as its listed that camera has been "fixed") sometimes a third party camera will give better results than stock. my personal favorite is "magix camera MX" its free on the market and is very user friendly. i know the most popular one is "camera ZOOM FX" but i pirated it just to test it, and i didnt like it at all.

It seems that i /m facing the same problem here. I'm running the AEROM v5 and out of the sudden the camera stopped working, the flash as well. Every camera app that i used only opens the front camera and i cant even use the LED light as a torch. I contacted the seller and suggested a factory reset , i did it with no success. i think that it might be a "missing driver". I do not know a lot apart from flashing roms, recovery etc. Trying to work it through.
Did you try to open the cover and check if the camera is connected properly at the board?
Sounds like hardware.. Any other experiencing this?

It is a hardware matter , at least for me
So I'm really tearing my hair out over this.
A short while ago, Gcam stopped working, and the flashlight or torch option stopped working. Other people have reported this issue, with various fixes suggested. One was to flash the latest vendor firmware, which I did. Didn't work. Another one was to flash a Gcam fix by PixeL from the BSG Gcam port thread. Didn't work. I thought maybe it was an issue with Pixel Experience, so I flashed LOS. Now the camera worked, but only in certain modes and the flashlight/torch icon was still grayed out. Third party flashlight/torch apps still said it couldn't access the flashlight. I've even now tried a full, complete wipe of *everything* including internal storage and installed the latest MIUI beta and vendor from scratch. Nothing. Flashlight grayed out and camera only works in certain modes (if I go to slow-motion, for instance, it crashes and loses access to the camera).
This is so frustrating. Please, anyone, help. There are other people who have had this same issue, but all of them were able to find a way to fix it through flashing those fixes or whatever else. It's not working for me and it's making my experience with the phone really frustrating.
I Have been Facing Same Issue Since The Last Global Stable update
It Happens every once in a While But some reboots fixes the problem but since yesterday I Am not able to use the primary 12mp camera . I did reboot my device many time to get it working but nothing works now..... Did You Get Your Camera Working ?? Neither slow motion mode working nor portrait.... Slow motion mode instantly crashes the camera app and portrait mode gives the error of can't connect to camera.... If your Camera is working now please suggest the way to fix it it's really frustrating

For once download the fastboot rom of miui and flash it. FASTBOOT ROM. Can be both stable or beta but must be fastboot. Do not use twrp etc to flash.
USE MIFLASH TO FLASH THE FASTBOOT ROM.
Just use fastboot rom. If it still doesn't work, then it's probably a hardware issue.

Actually it's not a software related issue ....in my case i got the camera sensor replaced by the service center under warranty which fixed my problem since then it's working fine... it's a hardware related issue ...so if you're camera switched to secondary camera and crashes on slow motion and portrait mode and also greyed out flash then none of the flashing tricks will work.
Have a Nice Day

Today the stock camera ''keeps stopping'' , I can still use open camera and Google camera redmi note 7 port by BSG. I installed the last update with 5 July security patch yesterday maybe it's linked.
Does anyone have the same problem ?
Does anyone know if we can use the wide angle camera with an other app ?

Just open settings -> search "Usage access" -> tap on the result -> choose "usage access" from list -> allow camera. DONE
(It's suspicious why camera needs usage access tho!!!!)
