My mi 8 lite wifi strenght is not good.when other phones are good in same place .but my phones is weak wifi strength.please share and compare this phone with other phones with wifi analyzer program.and share it.
This phone's WiFi is much much better than my Samsung GS7 ever was. On my 5Ghz wifi, I had one wifi bar in my bedroom with the SGS7.. With this phone, I have four bars. Much love for this phone so far!
Compare to my old Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate) the Mi8 lite is very poor in 4G LTE reception ! Very bad :'(
Wifi is very bad too, in the same place my old phone is better !!!
Materiel problem or software ?

Thanks, I was worried wanna buy this phone and I'm searching for issues like all!
I'm having issues with wifi. It keeps disconnecting and sometimes only connects back when I manually tap the wifi's name in the list. I can't tell if it's from the phone itself or the MIUI 10.3.1.0 Stable, since my phone is one week new and I spend only a few hours with older MIUI version before updating to the latest 10.3.1.0 stable. That's what I'm hopping for, so maybe it's fixed in the next MIUI version.

I have the same problem.
I have a problem with WiFi (mobile data) too .
I have full strength signal but sometimes the device stops getting data. This is so annoying!!! For example, when I'm on Facebook app I start to watch a video and then the video stops buffering and after some refreshes on Facebook app the data comes being downloaded again. This doesn't happens only with Facebook, it happens with everything like Instagram, Google Chrome, etc. I stop automatic synchronization but no result.
Anyone have this issue?

Hi ive discovered my phone has really weak wifi ranges... I have a router in the other room... In the living room my laptop gets full bars (not sure the actual % though) And I am able to saturate my fibre line from here... easily getting 4MBps downloads...
But my phone, I can only get 1 or 2 bars and a max speed of around 300Kbps.
I noticed with the Note 3 there was some sort of bug causing this... Is it a bug on the Note 4? Anyway to fix it?

I think he's suggesting a ROM flash may fix your issue.
Hi,
OK I am facing something similar on my redmi note 4. In my case, its more a of a range problem. If signals go down from 4 to 2 or 3 then it doesn't let me browse whereas at same range having Galaxy S5 side by side I can easily browse and get internet speed. I have put up my concern on official Xiaomi forum as well but no luck yet.
try picking another wifi-channel in router-settings if you have access to it. start with "1", it worked for me
on system 8.1.6.0 it is ok, rn4 global rom
I use a X829 4/64 GB and i recently noticed that i DO NOT HAVE ANY MOBILE NETWORK SIGNAL on Sim 1 (no data no calls). The truth is that during the last time i stopped using my le max 2 as my daily phone, so although i flashed many different " eui" roms i did not tried to insert my sim cards in the phone and try make any calls as i had no problem in the past. Yesterday i flashed AICP - Oreo - X2 (very good by the way) and this time i have the same problem with Sim 2. Some members have created similar threads in the past but i did not found any solution. I really wonder if someone here has any idea or any solution

I really appreciate your reply. Thank you. To be honest I already had this in mind but i finally solved the problem after flashing the zip file that andr68rus gave at this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71130265&postcount=5
Just to notice that, although i am not totally sure (since i had to use my phone for a long time), i think that the network quality is also better now as i think that i have better signal than before

I did not went back to stock. I flashed the zip when i was on latest Cuoco92 23s rom (coming from Oreo, as i was trying to find a solution) and then i flashed Oreo again. In both cases i had both sim cards wotking with a better (as i belieeve) network signal than the previous months i used my phone
I had the same problem with my network and the newest cuoco92 rom, but flashing the zip-file of andr68rus seems to have solved the problem! At least at the moment, the networks works again und I also have the feeling, the strength of the connection is much better than ever before!
Update:
The flash somehow only worked shortly. After a day or so, I had the same problem again. No network at all ( (neither data nor for phone calls), although the phone shows good network connetction! Strange.

For testing reasons i'm using the phone continuously for more than two weeks and i have not any problem at all. Considering that the network signal is better either at my home and at my work i believe that the zip from andr68rus made the "miracle". Of course i do not know what the zip file really did after flashing it (and if the better network signal is because of it) but i can "enjoy" the results
can i flash this on oreo

My sim sometimes shows no service when I switch data from 1 sim to another sim. After restart or several times turning on/off then it shows my sim.
Don't know if it's rom related issue or not but I want to try this zip as users reported that it works like magic.
Is it OK to flash?
Thankyou for your response

When you switch data from the one sim to the other it is normal to loose the signal for a while . It happens with every phone but normally the signal "comes" back again in a few seconds. I don't know if the zip will work for your problem but why don't you ask andr68rus "directly"?
So it's normal?
Yup that exact scenario. So if it's normal then I think it's ok.
I have already flashed this zip and now my data works better then ever. I have sent him pm but he didn't reply. Now you already cleared things up for me. Thanks for your response.
Can someone tell me does both sim slots supports LTE or not?
I am wondering if it might be possible, that this data connection issue is related to the battery status of the phone?
At least, with a fully charged battery fresh from the charger (for example in the morning), I typically always have good connection. The same when loading during the day. But then, and after a while without charging I loose connection or it gets more unstable at least.
Did somebody observe something similar?

It "sounds" strange. Personally i never had similar problems nad i think that this is not a common problem
I found that on a German website, the same problem that I observed concerning the network connection and the battery was also reported. For everybody able to read German, you find it here:
https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/leeco-le-max-2-x820-x821-x822.2715/lte-bricht-zusammen-keine-verbindung-bei-akku-unter-60-mit-netzteil-ok.860971.html
They report that the network works very stable as long as the battery voltage is above 4 V. Once it is lower, the phone loses connection. If this is generally true, then this might be the problem in my case. With the phone coming from the charger, the voltage is about 4.3 V, but relatively quickly if falls below 4 V.
Is this purely a battery problem? Or could maybe some software modifications somehow help?

Please add me to update.
As mentioned in another thread, I have been experiencing the same problem when the battery level goes down to 70% or less (~4volt) the mobile network indicator still shows good signal but both voice and data stop working ie. cannot make or receive phone calls and no internet connectivity. But as soon as I plug in the charger, everything works perfectly.
I bought the Xiaomi Redmi 6A a month ago. It came with MIUI9 global stable ROM out-of-the-box. A few minutes after starting the device, I got an update. After updating to MIUI10, I found out that this version includes literally a thousand bugs. I wanted to go back to MIUI9 almost instantly. For example, the Hotspot stops working after a few minutes of connectivity(1), so does 3G on some networks(2). Not to mention, the "rotate" button in the notification shade works inversely (blue means off, white means on).
I've been thinking of ways to revert back to MIUI9. I downloaded a MIUI9 ROM file from This Link. So can I just flash this through recovery or fastboot, or will there be any problems?
Has anyone attempted to downgrade this device?
My current ROM version is MIUI10 Global Stable 10.0.12.0
1. A few minutes after connecting a device with the Redmi 6A hotspot, the other device stops getting internet access through the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi stays connected though, but does not get any internet access.
2. 3G does the same kind of behaviour on some networks. On other networks, it works fine. 4G also works fine on any network.
Reset the device! Might be possible that you wouldn't face those bugs. I also had a situation like you. But after resetting my phone several time. Miui 10 is working great now on redmi 6a. A lot faster than miui 9 and more stable

After resetting a couple of times, I am still facing those problems. As far as I can tell, the problem is DNS related.
Sorry to hear that, my Redmi 6A also upgraded itself to MIUI 10 a month ago but I didn't have any problems at all. Phone works nice and smooth with a bit better battery life I think. Hope you can solve those issues since this is an excellent phone, especially considering the price tag.
I find GPS reception quite bad compared to other phones be honest. Whenever I use navigation, the Google Maps and other apps shows am in other road beside the actual road I am in. Happens on any version of MIUI rom, am not sure about custom roms. Will try tomorrow.
When I compare this behavior to my previous phone OnePlus 3, the ratio of wrong location is like 10x higher with F1
Anybody with same issues?
Same issues here with Mi 8 (dipper), the issue persist with either latest Global Stable (Pie) and latest EU's Weekly.

No issue on my Poco f1, I have no such problem. You may try to install gps status & toolbox and see how was it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2&hl=en_SG
Besides, you may read below article:
https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/google-maps-compass-calibration/
It quoted that:
"If it’s really wide, that generally means your magnometer sensor needs calibrating, and since the magnometer inside the phone is prone to interference from chargers, metal objects, and even other magnometers, it’s worth doing a calibration every now and again to keep it up to speed.
But enough bellyaching — how is it done already? The process is simple, and it’s exactly the same for both iOS and Android users — repeatedly wave your device around in a figure-of-eight motion until your direction narrows down.
Once you’ve completed a couple of these motions, your “flashlight” should have narrowed down, and should accurately respond to your movements better."

This is my issue as said in OP: Whenever I use navigation, the Google Maps and other apps shows am in other road beside the actual road I am in.
My location isnt accurate while driving. No issues with GPS signal at all, but when driving, navigation apps recalculate best route very often as it things I use different road than I actually do.
I get vey good fix and stable, accurate signal with Google maps too (Poco F1 EU region).

Yes if you mean when browsing on browser. My area doesn't have WIFI so haven't tested. But I assure you mental trauma after updating because
Slower network speeds
Battery draining very quickly
There is a bug in Mi Share (new built-in sharing) when you try to share file (screenshot) when gallery app is locked it will not open intended app where you want to share it will keep asking for password again and again.
There no much use of Added features (which they didn't give POCO all of them) when fundamentals are being compromised like Battery Life and Network quality.

Low network speed and Battery drain are things which are annoying me the most from this list because this is why you buy a phone for.
Airtel speed is good only when you switch off the phone and switch on it works fine I updated big apps in morning and got 5 Megabytes (yes bytes not bits) per second but after using it for few minutes problems start and then you get speeds only upto 1 megabytes that too it barely touches 1 MBps only few times otherwise it is around 700 Kilobytes/sec , today I downloaded Miramar map in Pubg and it took hell lot of time unlike before when it download in matter of few minutes.
