I play a lot of slots games and am running the beta 9 that was put out for our phone and now if I don't touch the screen for a certain amount of time a blue lock symbol shows up in the middle of my screen and I have to drag it in order to keep the screen on.
Is there any way to disable this??
Anyone have any ideas?

I played many games that make use of "landscape" mode, that is the screen is rotated. Those games where the on-screen "joystick" on the bottom-left of the screen (landscape) OR top left (portrait) and "button" on the bottom-right (landscape) or bottom left (portrait), I notice that sometimes the screen did NOT register my touch.
When it happened, I lift up my thumb and press it or move the button again and nothing is registered. After about 2-5 seconds, THEN it register again.
I used to have the International Note and I never experiences this issue.
I tried pretty much ANY games or apps and the problem persists.
Anyone experiences this?

How do i use this? I have it on but no icon at top of phone, screen still turns of...
EDIT - See 3 posts down for fix
Smart Stay
Its under Settings and then display, and then tick to enable smart-stay
Hey, i have done that but still nothing happends, still times out and no icon on top of screen.
Do you get an icon at top of screen when yours is on?
I had this issue. I think you have to also adjust screen timeout to make it longer. When its enabled every minute or so you get a icon which will flash up in the right hand corner and then it dissapeares
Thanks that sorted the prob
My Note 8 battery went flat and when put on charge the screen started flashing.
Overnight it had charged 1% when attached to my computer so I plugged it in all day.
Eventually it charged, but was playing up. Kept dropping wifi, apps would not run, could not download anything from the Play Store.
I did a factory reset and it appear to be ok, except I have a transparent, grey box covering about one third of the screen with text in it relating to the device.
i.e.
PDA:N5110XXCMK1
PHONE:NA
CSC:N51100XACMJ2
H/W:Not Active
RF Cal Date: None
SMD:01N,PBA:04N,CAL:07N,FINAL:11N
and a load more.
If I scroll the screen the background scrolls ok, but this box stay put.
If I open an app it disappears, but going back to the home screen it reappears after a couple of seconds.
I tried taking a screen shot, but it disappears when I try to do it and does not show up.
I guess I could take a picture with my phone if that would help.
Any ideas what has gone wrong?
Thanks
Having two issues with my S9+ I just got today. Hoping someone can help:
1.) Full screen mode - I opened up a game which displayed in the correct resolution, but didn't take up the entire screen. There was a small area of black at both the top and bottom of the screen, so the game was not taking up the whole screen. I turned on full screen mode, which fixed this problem, however, it basically lowered the resolution on the game and it made everything huge. Can't seem to fix this to where my game uses the whole screen and the correct resolution like it should and does on other phones.
2.) Lock screen pattern - On previous android phones, the 9 dot pattern would automatically show up when I pressed the power button to turn the screen on. On this phone, it's not. Also, the 9 dot pattern box is small compared to what it used to be on other phones. I have it set currently to not show the swipe pattern when I swipe in my pattern to unlock the phone, but I'd like to not have to swipe first to get the pattern box to show, as well as make the pattern box bigger. On my old phone (LG V10) there's an option under lock screen settings that says "Hidden Pattern - Show pattern dots when tapping on the screen" that turns it on so the swipe box comes up as soon as you turn the screen on. Can't find this on the new version.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Anyone having issues with the lower half of the screen after the latest update?
I swipe around and it seems to not register.
If I turn on on touch tracking in Dev Options it shows the screen see the swipe, but the OS doesn't.
Anyone else?
