Hi there
Do you know your build number? eg: C432 is for europe in general.
Do you know your exact model? eg: ANE-LX1
So basically you can't access recovery(via power+Volume up) and fastboot(via power+Volume down) ?? That's weird, but if you don't wanna wait, you can just do this procedure by @Merlin_99 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/how-to/root-how-to-install-update-t3841557
And do everything except "Finally, enter to the project menu from dialer typing *#*#2846579#*#* ==> Software Upgrade ==> SdCard Upgrade.
Wait for the installation and before configuring the device enter in Recovery Mode (from the phone off, VOLUME-UP + POWER ON) and make Wipe Cache Partition, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Reboot System Now." which is not needed since you can't boot.
Now after you copied the file to your sd card, just press power+volume down+volume up at the same time until the Huawei logo disappears and it starts applying the update.
Cheers and hope for the best,
AS

Ive done following the steps by running RunMe.bat but no joy
Now my device is semi-bricked as it stucks in the lock-screen, slide-to-unlock leads to screen-lock
I couldn't get into recovery mode by doing:
1. Hold Reset key and power up, release reset key
2. Hold Power and vol+
3. Hold Power and vol-
Seeking advices for (un)rooting or at least normalize the situation
Thanks
I have the same issue, did you ever figure out what's wrong?

Are you still having this problem? I did the same to mine - You get into the recovery by doing the following:
Switch device on FIRST.
When the little Android logo shows, hold POWER + VOLUME UP for about 2 seconds, and then LET GO. You need to let go before the device switches itself back off again.
Once in recovery, do a Wipe User Data/Factory Reset. It looks like it freezes on Formatting /data but just leave it a while and it will move on. This fixed this problem for me (and when I booted up, device was rooted...!)
Having done the upgrade to 4.1 though, this same method no longer roots the device but also doesn't semi-brick it. Just reboots it a few times with no changes

[Q] Looking for a factory data backup file for venue 7

Hi, I just got my venue 7 tablet a few days ago. The update 4.3 was automatically installed, but the system just crashed after I installed and uninstalled a few programs (some of them from unknown resource). Fortunately I can still enter the recovery mode.
It will be a big favor if anyone can help me to build a factory data backup file that can be restored by the recovery mode. Dell venue 7 is good but I hate to call dell service.
Thanks.

You don't need to build anything. The last android version is already on the device for a reset.
You will be starting from scratch just like when you purchased it.
Tap your Apps icon.
Go to Settings.
Select Backup & reset.
Choose Factory data reset.
Choose Reset tablet.
After reading the warning, tap “Erase everything” if you’re sure you wish to continue.
Didn't you read that his android has crashed totally? Probably he has a bootloop.
Jason, try going to fastboot first. Shut down your Venue then simultaneously push power and vol down. Select with vol keys option Recovery and apply with power key. Device will reboot to recovery mode. You will see an Android with exclamation mark. Now push simultaneously power and vol up for 1-2 seconds. Then select wipe data/factory reset with vol keys and apply with power key. That's all. Good luck.
Swyped on Venue 7

No I did not read where he said his tablet crashed completely because that's not what he said. He said
"the system just crashed after I installed and uninstalled a few programs (some of them from unknown resource). Fortunately I can still enter the recovery mode." And he did not say he is in a bootloop. You took that for granted.
So don't use that attitude with me. You are the one that didn't read what he said.

Help - Stuck in boot

Hi All,
I was in 20L ROM by eliminator. Wanted to reset my phone because I had some bluetooth and WIFi issues. After wiping System, Data and Cache I rebooted from TWRP and now it is stuck. If I remove battery and insert USB cable to it with Vol down, it enters "Welcome To Fast Boot Mode" screen and I am able to see my device listed from fastboot command from my Windows PC. But not sure about the next steps. Is my recovery gone too? Please advise with step by step instructions and kindly help me.
By the way, I was just trying fastboot flash recovery with a compatible version of TWRP and it says FAILED (remote: unknown command)
Help Please
Any help? I am stuck with dead phone

you "Never" i repeat "NEVER" wipe system it formats your system partition which contains all the OS solution is very simple.
1. Go into recovery mode to do this
a) pull battery out, and put it back in to make sure phone is completely powered off
b) Press and hold volume down + power button, as soon as phone lights up and shows LG logo release power button for just one second and press again untill you see a hardreset screen
c) on hard reset screen press vol - button on yes and press power button to select yes and do it again on next screen, it will lead you to TWRP Recovery
2. Now copy rom of your choice onto your external SD card and install it
hope it helps!!

Huawei P20 Lite stuck on loading recovery

I was trying to root my p20 lite on EMUI 9.1 so I flashed the patched recovery ramdisk, rebooted then typed "adb reboot recovery", but it wouldn't load. So I forcereseted the phone but it came to the same screen "your device has been unlocked" and "Your device is booting now" no options to press power to boot or erecovery. So I tried flashing the original ramdisk but it would still never load, and trying "fastboot reboot bootloader" didn't help either. I can't boot into system I can only go into fastboot mode.
edit: adb detects my device but rebooting into system command still reboots into recovery
edit 2: my phone has bootloader unlocked
edit 3: here is the phone log https://drive.google.com/file/d/19MNYSdI5gkzlAti2wVhsGuc8v6iAWaG6/view?usp=sharing
Connect phone to charger
Press and hold power button only
Keep it pressed till phone boots into 3 option scream, 1 press vol up 3 sec for e recovery, 2 press power to enter system, 3 do nothing 5 sec
Release power button, wait
Shoulda enter e recovery
Press reboot and wait
Shoulda reboot to system, root will not work, but phone will work
If want to start with root, you need to relfash system using dload package or hisuite update, otherwise your phone still will be stucked , so need fresh system files
I don’t get the three options. Only the your device is booting now. Rebooting via adb just reboots into the same thing.
edit: let the battery drain and now it is working again
Same, loading screen but nothing.

Stuck in recovery mode

I accidently flashed the lineage 16 recovery instead of lineage 17.1 recovery. I tried to install the 17.1 update through updater but my phone stuck into recovery mode. Neither I can boot into bootloader nor to android. I can''t flash anything. Power + volume down and connect the cable also not working to go into bootloader. Even bootloader option within the recovery also brings me back to recovery mode. ...adb devices command is also showing "device offline". Any help will be appreciated.
you should start from the beginning
is your bootloader still unlocked?

I can't go into fastboot mode. Is there any other way to check it?
Thank you @stukka2006 for replying me. I guess I saved my phone. So here what I did-
1. Extracted the stock firmware (Luckily I had one but can be found in the forum) and copied the dload folder to sdcard (as I was not able to access internal storage). (@stukka2006 your hint to start from the beginning)
2. Power off the phone and pressed Both volume buttons + power button simultaneously. After the vibration I left the power button while still holding both vol buttons till software update screen appears. But software update failed. So I just touched the reboot now option. The phone rebooted to fastboot mode.
3. I installed TWRP but was not able to reboot to recovery through commands and system reboot command brings me back to fastboot mode. So I again power off the device with cable connected and pressed both vol buttons. This time phone showed recovery screen (Should have worked with normal button shortcuts also, I guess) and I flashed the rom and rebooted normally.
Everything is working fine now except that I lost the data.
Happy you got all clear my friend !!!

You are quite lucky to have the stock ROM.
