This is my first time posting in XDA so i dont know if this is the right place for it.
Anyway, i want to update my oneplus x from 2.1.1 to 3.1.4 (MM) so should i go straight install the required prerequisite (2.2.3) or is there a specific update i should install first.
OTA tells me that my device is the latest version so I cant use it.
I could just root my OPX and install full 3.1.4 stock rom but right now i dont want to do it.
Any help is very much appreciated, Thanks.
Just flash that via recovery :
https://www.oneplus.com/fr/support/softwareupgrade/details?code=3
And?
Found the solution, Just use Oxygen Updater from Play Store and it will automatically chooses update for your OnePlus phones. in my case its the pre requisite then 3.1.3 then 3.1.4

I still have android 4.4.2 on my device cuz my phone is rooted and i have heard i will loose root if i upgrade to 4.4.4. I simply don't want to root again. I have super su pro and survival mode is enabled. I also have xposed framework installed with gravity box and greenify modules. I have heard i can't upgrade unless i uninstall xposed. So my question is, can i upgrade without losing root n having xposed? Has anybody successfully done it? N yeah i have twrp recovery.
Thanks in advance
Has anybody got the stock firmware of Moto E Indian version? The file is named "Android 4.4.2
Blur_Version.20.11.14.condor_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03" and can be downloaded from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=34
But that site doesn't support resume and is slow as hell and download always fails and restarts from the beginning. So it's literally impossible for me to download from there. Either give me an alternative link to that file (Googled a lot, found no mirror) or someone please kindly extract recovery.img from the ZIP of the firmware and post it here.
Thanks in advance.
I know I have to reflash stock recovery in order to be able to upgrade to 4.4.4.
I have manually flashed the 4.4.4 version of android using TWRP and using the OTA update from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/general/4-4-4-ota-update-zip-file-t2811397 which has been modified and made flashable with TWRP. Many thanks to Gogeta.
Problem is sorted out.

Hi,
Details about phone: Samsung S6 (G920I) I can't remember the exact ROM im on (yes im a noob). However my build number is LMY47X, which when searched by most views comes up with this rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-w/development/rom-aosp-alpha-1-t3107740) Android version 5.1.1 I have TWRP v. 3.0.2-1 as my custom recovery.
So my phone keeps restarting randomly been getting worse over the past few weeks. So I want to try a new ROM (had my current one for like 8 months). So I made a ROM back up just in case through TWRP and backed up all my user data through Titanium and exported both of it onto my PC.
I found a ROM I want to use "XtreStoLite" ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423) but I have a few questions before I try to install it.
First of will this work fine for the current setup I have?
Since I'm on 5.1.1 and they have a ROM version for 6.0.1 will I be able to install this version or do I have to use the 5.1.1 version? I've tried updating to 6.0.1 on my current ROM but my provider won't let me update OTA. Only way is to remove root and return it back to the stock ROM which I don't really want to do if I can avoid it.
Please help, any information will be greatly appreciated, feel free to ask any questions.

This ROM will work for your device. Based on what I read in the OP's post on how to install this ROM there are two prerequisites. You will need to use Odin to flash a Marshmallow bootloader and a Marshmallow modem for this ROM to work. This is an excerpt from the ROM's OP:
How-to Install:
Install Marshmallow bootloader & modem and install custom recovery:
- Install the correct MM bootloader & modem for your model with Odin (see post #5 of this thread)
- Make sure that you have an working TWRP custom recovery installed.
If you follow the OP's instructions you should not have any problems. Make sure you read, read and read. The OP has given an excellent guide. Post #5 in this thread has the download links for the Marshmallow bootloader and modem and instructions on what slot to put the files in using Odin. Good luck and happy flashing.
Also, if you wanted to stick with a Lollipop ROM the OP still has links to his Lollipop ROM's available.

Hi I have a one plus x got it from my friend. He rooted the device and installed CM13 is. As it is still under warranty I want to roll back to oxygen. Please let me know 1. How to roll back and the procedures. 2. If CM13 is better than oxygen please let me know the advantages .
1. You've got answer on OnePlus.net Download Section.
2. Just look at description of CM13. There's everythig written there
If you have CM13 installed, then just download the OOS 2.2.2 from OnePlus.net and flash it through your TWRP recovery. Btw the complete instruction is anywhere in this forum, read and follow it carefully and you will be alright.
By the way, you don't need to unroot or change back to Oxygen to use the warranty.
Hey.
I got me a used One Plus X with OOS 3.1.4 installed. I need to get down to 2.2.2 for Android 5.1.1 to install SailfishOS, which unfortunately doesn't seem to work with 6.x.x.
I've got the 2.2.2-.zip file from the official Oneplus download already. Now I'm hesitant because I've changed the recovery via fastboot already (for my first attempt to flash SailfishOS, when I didn't know I had to downgrade first).
My question: What recovery can I safely install the 2.2.2 zip from? A certain TWRP version? Or do I need stock recovery? (a link would be awesome in this case)
The internet has given me mixed signals about this so I wanted to ask here first - don't want to brick my new phone.
Greetings and thanks,
boogie
You need ONXY MM recovery

Your problem is that you need to downgrade your bootloader.
On the updating topic, there is this link for downgrading :

First, I had a rooted G3. Never updated it. Now, I have an H830 (T-Moble) variant. I've been rooted since I bought the phone and have never updated because I don't know how to do it without losing root. I'm still on software version H83010d (Android 6.0.1).
From what I've gathered, I just download the .zip in here and install via TWRP and then flash superSU afterwards?
I'm not completely sure what the talk of modifying boot.img or removing recovery-from-boot.p...
My reason for updating is because I want to try the Fulmics ROM or any optimized ROM for that matter. I had one on my G3 and it ran so much better.
But then as a follow up question, is the update process the same from a ROM? Do you just flash an update over the Rom and then re-flash the ROM?
Any links or answers are appreciated so I can finally figure out how to update while retaining root on my devices.
