no, let you be clear, we have said multiple times, it it the latest firmware and all pie roms, stop trying to deny its a major bug.
For MEE7 users [ROM][OFFICIAL][9.0]AospExtended v6.2 everything is working perfectly.
seems like only mdeejay build trees are broken for MEE7.

Just install an update to your ims app (copy & paste below link) and reboot.

I'm also having this issue.
Hi all.
I'm also having this issue. I installed the latest Pixel Experience Rom on my Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus Saturday night.
Sunday afternoon i restarted the phone and was plagued by this infernal popup every couple seconds. I'll attempt to post a screen shot but the message is "com.android.phone" keeps stopping.
As per a previous message, disabling "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" makes the error popup stop.
Unfortunately getting there is tricky as the popup keeps closing the screen you need to be on.
To make it stop: Open Settings, tap "Network & internet", "Mobile Network", "Advanced", and then tap "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" to toggle it off.
This only started happening after I rebooted the phone.
I can try to provide logs an any other information that will help fix this, but I am a newb to Roms so I'll need the steps laid out unfortunately.
Otherwise the Rom is working well and I appreciate all the great work that obviously gone into it!
---
Edit: Harry_virdi suggestion to update the ims app appears to have worked. Thank you sir.
Though I must confess as a newb I would certainly like a few more details about what file I just downloaded and installed on my phone, where it came from, what it does. My phone is a fresh install and there's no sensitive information on it yet, so I can afford the risk today, but once I get my work stuff back on it Id be a lot more hesitant.
i am getting the error android.phone.app popup error too.
ims.apk not fix properly long delay to connect when making phone call.
I have MEG7 and my signal bar keeps disappearing and I get the force close popup on AEX, PE and Havoc. Driving me mad.
Same here
No signal no calls phone app keep crashing on havoc and pixel experience

Hi all,
I've posted a couple times before on getting the wifi working on stock Moto android for the photon, I cannot reply on the dev forum discussing this cm9 rom as I'm allegedly less than 10 posts or something.
Each time I boot up with aeroplane mode off (so all network stuff is on) com.android.phone crashes and I just have to press ok, it happens again each time I enable then disable aeroplane mode or type *#*#4636#*#* and turn off then on the radio.
I cannot get any mobile connection, I think the radio cannot turn on as the GSM service is "radio off".
Any ideas on how I should troubleshoot, I think loads of people have the issue but the recommended fix does not work for me (and others).
The recommended fix is to edit /system/build.prop and change ro.telephony.default_network from 7 to 0 and this does not work for me (editing it with root explorer).
I understand that it changes the network type to WCDMA prefered (I think that is another name for UMTS). One can also change the prefered network using the above code in the dialer and scrolling down to just above the button to turn the radio off/on.
Any ideas?
Update:
Sorry for taking ages to reply, seems like most people using the mopho are on Sprint using CDMA and so don't have issues, I'm in Australia on Vodafone so use GSM(2G)/WCDMA (3G).
I got this working ages ago and after a few version changes, I'm now on beta 0.4.5.1 as camera would freeze after taking a picture (including freezing the camera system so face unlock stopped) on beta 0.4.4.
Yes, reflashing rom after editing ro.telephony.default_network to 0 does fix it, but one does not have to reflash, just reboot into recovery and do factory reset other basics may work, though I tried cache, dalvik cache and permission fix, that did not seem to fix it for me. I think factory reset in recovery formats: data, cache, ext-sd/android....something file and one or 2 other things.
I think formatting data gets rid of all your settings, maybe one does not need the data reformat, I wonder if the android file on the SD card has certain settings with the RIL.
When you are having the GSM issue and no signal, under the more menu which is under wireless & networks, there is no "mobile networks" option and when dialling *#*#info#*#* (4636) under phone information, I think GSM service says "radio off".
Yes, after I did make a post, it did say 4 posts and then I actually knew I how many I had done, I was unsure as I had posted quite a lot about the early wifi issues when Spring crippled the original rom but I was also posting in the Moto owners forum and could not remember how many posts I had done in this forum.
Any way, will update if I think there is anything else useful to add/ask. I just love the openness of Android, especially compared to the iPhone, its just so great that someone may download the source and port it to a device such as what Joker and the others helping him out did, so now we have ICS on a very powerful and capable device. As much as Jobs may have had all sorts of issues with similarities between Android and iOS, we have more use from it and "like" google better from it (without spending crap loads of money on one of like only 2 devices available, we just have soooo much choice;-)
Fisher
Ok, so I understand that editing the file line above (/system/builld.prop , line ro.telephony.....) to 0 instead of 7 sets the network as WCDMA prefered (it even says so in the file just above the line you edit).
When dialing *#*#4636#*#*, I see GSM auto (PRL) instead of WCDMA prefered even after reboot.
It seems that the system is not reading that part of the build.prop file or its being over ridden by something else, how can I troubleshoot?
It stays on GSM auto (PRL) even if I change it in the dialer, exit and then type the code back into the dialer.
Have you tried relishing from scratch? & start from cm9 0.1.0 2d not 0.2.0 . I say that because when I first tried cm9 I started from cm9 0.2.0 and I had lots of problems and battery drains fast but then I clean everything off and redone it from cm9 0.1.0 2d note everything is working like it should even better . Hope you getting going...

Sounds like the other guys have you helped with the FC portion, but nobody has addressed the first complaint. You're currently showing as having 5 posts to me when I look at your profile, so it's not alleged you're under 10 posts, you are under 10 posts. Why would you ask that in a Photon forum?
I installed the CM10.1 kernel 3.1 on my Atrix 4G, but it is giving me some trouble with the network.
I'm not talking about the data connection, I'm talking about the fact that I can't make a phone call and people can't call me.
The phone says "No Network" and the only chance to have it back is to restart the phone.
Is there any solution to this problem?

No, it is not and I did, but I only find threads where people talk about losing of data connection, that's why I specified "no data" in the title.
If you have a link where is possible to read a solution I'll thank you, but I couldn't find any.
It's the same thing. There is no solution. You are running an ALPHA stage ROM which you should have known before flashing. If you didn't know that, then you did a crappy job at reading up before flashing.

Well, that's not exactly the same thing, I some time I also have data connection loss, but when that happen I'm still able to make and receive phone calls.
To get the data connection back, it is enough to put the phone in Aereo mode and back to normal, so it is not a big problem.
In addition I read about the ROM I was going to flash and on the official site (linuxmobile) I read:
Known to be working:
Calls
...
(so I expect that also network is ok)
Known bugs
MTP don't show files
HDMI
BT audio
Voice Dialer
Sound Recorder
Camera flas
(no bugs listed about network connection)
Features not supported
No fingerprint navigation or unlock
Wifi Direct
Gesture typing don't work...
Facelock
(no advice about network not supported)
So, as you can see, there are no advice about network connection loss and who reads that expect that connection loss will not happen.

True I guess. The working/not working lists are quite outdated though. Also, this ROM still uses the experimental kernel which is in alpha stage. This means what is labeled as "working" actually means "seems to work". It also means literally anything is possible, including something that is considered working to stop working all of a sudden. In short, this ROM was never meant to be a daily driver ROM.
Got it.
Well, I like this ROM and I want to go on using it, so I will follow the new releases.
I would also like to contribute to correct this and other bugs if possible.
Is there anything I can do to help? Maybe reporting logs about the connection loss? How?
Appreciated but there's not much you can do right now. This is a well known bug and it's being worked on. If you want you can follow the relevant threads in the Development section, every so often a new kernel build comes out which might fix this bug. But only try them out if you are confident enough in your technical knowledge, more specifically if you have sufficient technical background in doing basic adb/shell/recovery operations. Otherwise, if you feel you can't do this or you'd prefer a fully working ROM, you would probably be better of flashing a GB/CM7 ROM.

All future releases are kernel based. CM10.1 has reached the EOL as far as development goes. Please refer to the CM10.1, the CM9, and the kernel development thread for updates.

The stock lollipop Rom has an issue with syncing hangouts and gmail. In order to force sync,IPv6 is manually disabled every 1 minute. When that happens, your data connection resets, and you see your phone go up through the speed technologies.

This is probably what you seek, but a word of warning; I haven't tried any of this myself. I don't know whether this will work or break your phone. If I were trying to do this, I would probably just comment out that second line (put a '#' in front), but if you start getting sync problems, this will probably be why.

Theoretically you won't still have this problem if you go back to KK. I haven't gone back to KK since I took the plunge into LP, so don't quote me on that. In fact, if you just install the stock LP ROM, you won't have this problem any more as well.
OR, you could install Jasmine 5.0, and then upgrade it to something like 5.0.7 or 5.0.8, which ever one was before the IPv6 fix started getting baked into the Rom. That's probably what I would do, but I haven't tried SkyDragon yet, so I don't know what I'm missing.

Perfect!!! Thanks. I got it loaded up now i am getting all my data back up on the phone.
I wanted to post this for people who want to try out MM on the LS990 and have fully working 3G and 4G/LTE data on a Sprint network. I'll explain the exact conditions that I personally went through to get it working.
I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THESE STEPS WILL WORK FOR YOU. YOU MAY EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS AS MENTIONED BELOW.
The flashing and setup:
What I personally did was flash BareCee v2 and then updated the PRL and Profile. Afterwards, I dirty flashed BlackSoulxxx's v30b MM port (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-lge-d855-android-marshmallow-ported-t3285025). I rooted the port with SuperSU 2.52 BETA via TWRP. Once I got to the home screen, I was greeted by a notification that stated that I need to update Google Play services. I updated it. Then I confirmed my appropriate APN settings. I'm on RingPlus, so this was important for me to even get mobile data at all.
The fix:
Once I went through all that, I edited /system/build.prop using Solid Explorer with the following lines:
ro.product.model=LGLS990
ro.build.target_country=US
ro.product.locale.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Chameleon
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=310120
ro.cdma.homesystem=64,65,76,77,78,79,80,81,82,83
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The following two lines might be disabled in your build.prop. If they are active, ensure it's set properly as listed below. It was disabled on mine, so I did NOT touch them or re-enable them:
ro.telephony.default_network=10
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
If you don't care for having your phone unlocked for Global/GSM use, you can edit the following lines to get the Sprint 3G/LTE, airplane mode, etc. status bar icons and branding (as well as disable the Global/GSM network option):
ro.build.target_operator=SPR
ro.carrier=Sprint
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
After you have edited the build.prop, give it a reboot and toggle data/airplane mode in the quick toggle/notification pull-down menu until you get data to finally turn on. Once it switches on, it'll work until your next reboot, I believe. You will need to fiddle with the toggle again once you reboot. This is a bug due to the ports. There's no known fix for this besides dirty flashing over BareCee v2, but I can't really say for certain if everybody will have this fixed just by dirty flashing. Dirty flashing also allows the settings switch and data settings panel to work correctly (sometimes).
From what I can tell, ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric is the key factor for getting 3G data to work properly.
Negative repercussions:
You may have issues with Messaging.app and weather.app NOT working/crashing after launch IF YOU DIRTY FLASH. I'm not sure how to fix this issue other than with a CLEAN FLASH.
Others have expressed issues with google play services not working or force crashing and causing the OS to be unstable. Clean flashing fixes this problem, usually.
Fulmics 3.1 and xpirt was the source of this fix and it was stated that this will be included in the next version of Fulmics 3.X. I personally cannot use Fulmics because it's highly unstable for me. It overheats my phone and there's heavy lag with poor battery life.
Other Notes:
I would like to see somebody clean flash BlackSoulxxx's port or Fulmics 3.1 and try this out. I'm too busy to keep flashing/testing and everything I need is working (I don't bother with the stock Messaging app and weather app works fine for me). Please report back if you do this and let us know what happens. I suspect this is the best possible outcome for avoiding force crashes, but it also may mean that the data may not work properly, even after this fix.
Hope this helps somebody. It took me weeks to resolve this issue.
Thanks to:
blacksoulxxx
xpirt
6th_hokage
jglm4u
This should get its own post: The MM port is unlocked for GSM by default, I believe. Fulmics 3.1 is the same.
No luck for me..
Whenever I make all these changes on a clean flash of fulmics 3.1, I get constant FC's of com.android.phone

Not sure why you're getting phone FCs, but I'm like 99% sure it may be a fulmics issue. I'm using the blacksoulxxx port right now.
Also, confirmed bug:
ro.build.target_operator=SPR
ro.carrier=Sprint
These two lines cause media services to crash for a media player stuff. Facebook messenger videos and Google hangouts voicemail audio crashed when it searches for sprint-specific players. Strange as hell.
Couldn't you just make a flashable zip to fix the build.prop?
So i have a clean flashed EU ROM and i randomly lose mobile data connection (4G) for a few seconds and it then comes back. I don't lose the mobile network, but the 4G data sign just vanishes and then comes back again in a flash. This is really annoying especially while playing online games where 1 sec of internet disconnection is the difference between a win and a loss.
I'm on MIUI 11 EU ANDROID 10.

I am using Miui 11.0.4.0, my mobile data totally stop working yesterday. There is 3G, 4G and even Edge signal but no internet. Wipe cache/dalvik and change kernel doesn't work. Ended up I reinstall 11.0.4.0 and it works back again

I too dirty flashed the ROM again and it worked without any problems for sometime and then out of nowhere it started to do this again. I hope it doesn't affect you as well but it looks like it most probably will. :crying:
Might be this will be helpful. What I noticed in Stock Miui 11.0.4 when the wifi calling is ON then I noticed call drops. So I have turned off the wifi calling and using the VOLTE only and everything is fine. I think wifi calling technology is not yet stable enough to use. We need to wait for some more. So you may try this thing. Turn off wifi Calling and set data roaming to always and see if it fix the problem.
Experiencing something similar mobile data is gone

I did that on the first boot but to no Vail. Currently I downloaded the latest vendor from akhilnarang's website to see if it is a vendor problem. Everything I tried before has done nothing.

Are you on EU version like me or the stock global ?
I received the update last week on stock rom in EU. Since then severe problems with mobile data, it only works in cities where 4G+ is available. 4G, 3G and E don't work at all or only rarely.
Does someone have a solution to that? BTW also my camera is broken since the update. After every picture it says "processing HDR+" forever (even showing a notification for that that never disappears). My proximity sensor also has some problems... Never change a running system I guess.

There doesn't seem to be any fix (none that I know of until now). Till now I tried reflashing the ROM, installing the akhilnarang vendor and now I'm testing LTE band locking using network signal guru.
It might just be a placebo effect, but I think flashing the vendor somewhat reduced the problems with mobile data. You should give it a try and give feedback here.
Is it possible to downgrade again by a dirty flash?

I wouldn't recommend dirty flashing Android 9 ROMs over 10. Yo should clean flash.

Well great now I noticed I cannot even connect my phone to the computer, because it says "failed to get information from usb device" in the device manager. Tried installing and uninstallting several ADB drivers and the MI Pc Suite but nothing fixes the problem. Guess I can throw the phone out of the window now.
BTW: Is there no ****ing official website with usb drivers? All I get are websites like "xiaomidriverdownload.com" or "androidusbdrivers.com" or "flashxiaomi.com" wtf is this.

Check the "bootloader unlock" thread. It has links to all the drivers/ utilities you'll need

And one question, do you use any VPN ?
Disable "Xiaomi Framework Service"
Same issue for me on a Xiaomi Mi9 Lite with xiaomi.eu rom.
After lots of workarounds tried I finally discovered the cause : "Xiaomi Service Framework".
It's a system app that resets mobile data connection when it detects or thinks there's no internet connection.
I use an intranet apn to connect to my company network, so my phone is not connected to internet when the apn is active and it was really annoying to have those data connection drops.
As I'm not using any Xiaomi Service (mi cloud and others) and my phone is rooted, the solution for me was to disable the app and problem solved!
Good luck

Hi there!
İve stumbled upon you post. Right now i have xiaomi Mi 9 with stock MİUİ 12.0.3
Since this update İ notice Losing mobile data connection randomly.
i randomly lose mobile data connection (4G) for a few seconds and it then comes back. the 4G data sign along antenna sign just vanishes (greys out) and then comes back again in a second.
İ suppose its very similar to your case. İts getting very frustrating
Have you by any chance got any workaround ?
