Don't think it's possible ,tried the stock gestures, but ended up switching to fluid ng. They were too inconsistent, and I didn't like the animation for the back gesture, also using fluid ng brought back the ability to switch between the last 2 apps.

you have to disable the stock gesture navigation and revert back to the three button configuration, after that you follow the instructions in the Fuid NG app and then you will hide the stock navigation bar.

Yes it is!
I got the pro version and made the gesture animation 100% transparent and turned the system animations to 1.5 in developer options ,all the animations on the stock launcher feel so smooth and fluid almost like the iPhone .

Yeah it's a great convenience comparing to the stock softkey! Now I can use my phone easily with just my right hand thumb!
Does it work just like ParanoidAndroid? Slide finger to any side of the screen?

You'd better try it out! It's easily customizable. There're many pie-activate positions in the latest release (1.910) (right and bottom, right and left, etc)
well im having trouble with this app when playing games like avengers initiative or minion rush. the game sumtimes take so much RAM it FC the pie control, n sumtimes i have to wait several minutes for the pie to restart. i tried making the pie a system app, or using local.prop to make the pie unkillable, but no luck. so i had to revert back to normal with buttons

I use LMT and play Minion Rush - too - and even Real Racing 3 without any problem. Maybe the key is that I have Ram Manager Pro configured the suitable memory policy for my specified demands.
Have a look on it (at Play store)! :good:

Hey Wytosandroid, how did you remove/hide your navbar?
I'm so looking forward to using PIE because it's hard for me to reach the back button (left handed)
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick response!
Did you use UDN to hide the navbar too? I wonder if the "dangerous method" would work.. and if the build.prop tweak will be able to brick my device? Cause otherwise I could just re-flash my ROM and it'll be fixed I guess :silly:
The safe method requires "Xposed module", I'll research on that in the meanwhile
Thanks again!

Is there any way, I Can expand the notifications with single finger in Redmi Note 3, This is a huge phone and all the time to see the contents of notification , have to use two fingers. Any solution to this?
Nope. No way to do this.
Maybe you could install xposed and try gravity box module. But that would require root and recovery.
Hit thanks if I helped you ?
It feels very weird to access notifications that way
nexus does, thats why

Yes, use Nova launcher, swipe down on home screen will drop down notifications window.
I'm using Nova, but my concern is notifications not the drawer.

He is not asking about opening the drawer, he is asking about the particular notification itself. Imagine you have received 5 messages from 3 contacts on whatsapp. On aosp you can simply swipe down on the notification itself and see those messages without opening whatsapp. But on miui it is not shown in expanded manner and over and above that you have to use both your fingers to expand it. This is really frustrating and it is one of the main reasons I hate miui. Pathetic notification system they have.
BTW I have moved to aosp v4 from the last 1 month. Don't plan on going back to miui.

If you have xposed, try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hartec.miuistatusbar (there is free version but outdated here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/miui-tweaks-xposed-t3329815).
There is an option to ALWAYS show expanded notifications. Not what you're searching for, but at least you can get a peak on your notifications.

Miui's default launcher have that also. Swipe down for settings/notifications and swipe up for search bar.

If on MIUI, use xMIUI module in exposed, it allows tweaks for statusbar like one click notification expand, always expanded notifications, QS tiles count increase etc.
Its from same dev who modded exposed installable zip for MIUI.

If you are rooted with xposed installed, then install xMIUI module. It has that feature to expand notifications on single tap, as well as to force expanded notifications. I have tried it and it worked well.

No, M also has that
xMIUI module for xposed will also expand notifications: -
Expand by touch
or by swipe up/down
or both of the above.
Edit: - Didn't read the thread fully before replying.
Why are people talking about MIUI nougat in Kenzo thread?
Although i am on the latest miui version i.e. 9.6.18.0, i still have the same old nav buttons, does anyone else face the same issue?
I had no idea there was supposed to be new navigation bar. Anyways I am using gestures.

For me the buttons changed after I tried a few themes and launchers, then returned to using the poco launcher. (I had the three stacked horizontal lines for multitasking menu and now I have the square). Hope this helps.

I am facing the same issue. I'm right now on 9.6.18 and I have the square nav bar button. When I switch themes I get the new nav buttons. How do I get them to stick on the Poco launchr ?
Is its possible?
its driving me insane - it makes my s9+ feel like a cheap laggy phone - what a terrible useless effect.
Do you mean you pull the status bar? Because I like to have it and using Swift installer to do this
I mean this blur effect here

I didn't say it was a solution to the blur thing you mentioned. I just said your issue, plus the slow switching animation are things bothering me in Pie and cannot solve it.
Also tried with different themes, but none of them modified those things

I don't think this is possible to remove the blur. It was introduced already in the good lock app quickstar on android 8 and now they added it as default.
when I pull down the notification bar there is no lag though. But I am using the feature "reduce animations" which I really like.. way better than setting animations to 0 in dev options..
Is there any way to make the icons in the quick settings smaller though? They are waaaay to big for me and is killing the experience.

it doesnt lag in the home screen - but the animation is terrible when u do it in the lock screen - partially because it decides for you to open the entire drawer
Update:
Just updated my phone today - the blur effect was removed
Guess Samsung figured out if they cant do it right they just need to remove it lol....

It's for the better, that blur was horrible and out of place
At the beginning i thinked the same, but the content is Blurred to focus on The Notification Pannel i guess, When you touch the status bar The Blur Animation(Transition) was a nice effect, they should leave it as optional and Not Remove it fully

I have the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy Note 9 side by side, both running Android pie. I wasn't paying attention at first, but I noticed something after I installed a good lock, which worked perfectly on my Galaxy Note 9. Upon uninstalling good lock, it is around this time that I noticed that there is a blur background when I pull on my notification bar. But I cannot remember if it was always like that. Comparing it to the Android pie in note8, this is not the case. The background remains transparent but a little bit dimmed, which is what I prefer.

Smaller or are we able to add more than 6 on the top row? Hell my s7 or s5 I think I could have 8 icons on the top. Makes it way more convenient when accessing things. I noticed with Oreo I can have 6 and there is no where that I can find that I can add more... Is this a feature that Oreo removed?
Thanks,
-Nigel

damnit google ^^ well i found a workaround because i really don't want to use the stock navigation, i now use LMT and fortunally the custom-rom i use offer a navigation switch quick panel, so if i really need to go inside the settings, i can switch it on, navigate with the stock one and can still use LMT again outside. Thats kinda dumb but it works and it's at least something..
