I have Honor Play and I recently updated to EMUI9. May be this is just with my device but I am noticing comparably decreased battery performance and the "quick charging" function is also not to quick compared to previous version. The charging speed has decreased comparatively than before and the battery also drains quickly than before. Has anyone else got this kind of issue as well???
Thanks!!!

Has anyone else noticed that the latest version of the Nielsen Android app is draining significantly more battery than previous versions? I've just disabled it and am seeing an immediate improvement in battery drain of >1% per hour

I think I am (he writes, noting the age of the post).
I've just done a quick look at my battery stats and it seems that the Nielsen app is causing a partial wakelock which would explain the poor battery life, down to 63% in about 7 hours of minimal usage (though on an S2... blame google for bringing me here). Will see a bit longer and then is more certain, contact Nielsen.
If I go to Phone Manager > Power Savings > Energy Consumption I have a huge battery drain. I need help
I'd say pretty much everyone is experience a degraded battery after the update. It will probably have to be fixed though an update.
Oh. I see. I have heard that people are not happy with the battery in Lollipop. I haven't really experienced a change that I noticed.

When you say a huge battery drain, do you mean the battery is not lasting as long as it did or you observed a very precipitous drop in battery over a short period of time?
I have noticed a slight change in battery drain but its definitely not during cell standby.
lollipop needs an update real bad ...cell standby is huge in battery stats ...17% in 4 hours without WiFi and data ..this is just ridiculous ...
chrome is another big battery hog ,ever since it was released.
its a shame Google still couldn't fix its drain caused from chrome while running in background .

Go into settings and unchecked it. Should no longer run in background. Google has several issues right now draining battery. There are some work around. But only on cm roms.
After i restarted my phone a couple times it seemed to have fixed the problem. I've also changed my microUSB cable and AC adaptor as well... since I noticed that they actually make a difference.
Have had a second-hand Alpha for past 9 months, and battery life was never impressive (was prepared for that), with occasional very heavy drain (est. life half a day or less).
Have recently seen impressive improvement - Appears related to the latest Google Play Services update (9.8.77 from mid-October) - with light use of phone, G.P.S is still the biggest consumer, but with approx. three (3!) days of battery life I’m okay with that!
Has anyone experienced similar?
I've had my G5 (RS988) for 3 days and my biggest issue thus far has been battery life. I looked at which processes are draining the battery, and to my surprise "Phone Idle" is the #1 offender, consuming over 20% of the battery.
Besides calls/texts, I mainly listen to music (media player, not streaming) on my commute to and from work, as well as browse the internet.
I fell asleep with my battery at 50% and woke up to it at 25%.
I'm running OS 7.0 and Software Version 21c.
I was checking out aftermarket batteries last night and there are several choices. Most of then are rated much higher than the stock battery. Has anyone tried any of these with positive results?

This device imo has always been a battery hog.... You screen should always be at the top of the list of battery ussage but if its sitting there idle
There are many things that can affect battery life wifi, data, aod even bad signal which is my issue I live in a low sig area I suggest a full charge and then after a full battery's usage post a couple screen shots of bat stats then with screen on time listed also

There are no batteries with greater capacity than LG's original one. These are cheaters claiming 4300mAh etc!
Original battery is 2800mAh, that is all that can fit in that physical size, that is the energy density that's possible right now. LG would have loved to put a higher capacity battery if it was possible.
Most possibly you will get much less than 2800mAh from those who claim the ridiculous high capacity than those who sell batteries as 2800mAh (even these are probably less than stated).

What's aod?
I was able to cut the phone idle battery usage by like 60%+ thanks to someone on Reddit. They recommended resetting the permissions on all the apps. The reason being that all the permissions got grandfathered in on the OS 7.0 update and it was somehow causing insane battery consumption. Hopefully I'm explaining that correctly. If you haven't heard of this fix and want me to find the link, let me know.

Hey guys, I am using Accubattery to monitor my battery performance and I noticed that after the last software update the battery performance dropped significantly. On the previous version, my stats were roughly 9%/h screen on and 1,5%/h screen off. After the update, the screen on discharge jumped to 22,9%/h. I used to charge my phone once in 3 days, now I have to charge it every day. Also, I noticed that the phone was significantly warm while reading an ebook and drained the battery really fast.
Something is really off. Any idea how to report back to Realme?
Seriously, no one has a similar issue? I tried pretty much everything except for a full factory reset. I tried to turn off GPS, LTE, Wifi, and Bluetooth with negligible improvement in battery consumption. I froze and force shutdown Zepp app and Notify for Amazfit ( I bought a new Amazfit watch recently) - with no visible improvement. What helped - at least a little bit was Battery->Performance mode->No performance improvement. Smart performance mode causes huge battery drain and the phone gets significantly hot during normal usage - web browser, ebook. etc.
I checked if there is a misbehaving app - nope there is not. Checked for malware, just in case - no problem there either.
My theory is they somehow tweaked governor in an update and screwed up.
I get some weird data from AIDA and CPU monitor. It seems that the triple-core cluster is running at full-speed 2,42 GHz all the time. That would explain the battery drain.
Check this screenshot.
The latest update to Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0 seems to fix the high battery consumption, also the tri-core cluster frequencies are finally adjusted normally.
I just hope they didn´t introduce more bugs with the latest release
