SD not working as adopted internal - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hey guys I really need help, the only rom where my SD shows no issue is MIUI or Pixel Experience.
It was working on nitrogen but I transferred apps to internal and removed the SD only to put it back and get this error, pic related.
I have wiped the card, formatted(exfat, fat 32 same result) with easeus partition and Aparted. Enabled permissive selinux with magisk module but nothing works. L
When I format as internal it goes to 40%" then I get this error pictured and I'm left with and SD that has a 16mb partition and displayed as corrupted.
I Can format it to be used as portable.
Does anyone know how to fix this please?

No one??

Have you checked if it's a fault with the card on a Windows PC with H2testw?

The 128gb SD card i used is good,, i just tried with an older 8gb SD and exactly the same thing and same error happened..... its something on my phone then,, Pixel experience is the only rom adoptive storage works good on and it was the first one i used.
I put back Pixel experience and it worked then thought that if i remove all passwords and move all data to internal and then format the SD as portable it would work. It hasnt worked.

Can't mount external sd card

Hello. When trying to flash my mini X android box, I used sd card from my sgs2. After that, I inserted the card to sgs2 and rebooted.
The telephone said "Corrupted card" and asked to format. However, it formatted internal sd card!! And it doesn't see the external one.
I've tried formatting external sd to fat32. No luck.
What should I do?

Well, this may sound stupid or strange, but what I couldn't do with gParted or Windows partition was easily done by putting sd-card to my Note 10.1
My problem is solved by now. The only thing that bothers me is that my internal sd is formatted and everything's lost. If anyone knows how to recover all data, please pm me

Micro SD 64GB SD is not longer Working

64GB SD is not longer Working
Suddenly I have a big problem with my 64GB SD.
Can no longer access it.
I tried it on Android and Win 10 but without success.
Even reformatting is neither Android nor under Win10 (Windows format SD format, Paragon and Minitool Patition Wizard)
Does anyone have an idea ??

Are you trying to access it while it is being attached to the phone or are you using an adapter to read the sd card on your computer. It could be corrupted or damaged.

So lets elaborate what's happening, the sd card can be detected, but it can no longer be accessed right? It is in read-only mode right? By any chance was it encrypted by your phone or did you manipulate any permissions that caused your sd card not to work? Have you tried scanning for drive errors?
Thank for your quick answer.

There are no driveve errors.

If you cannot achive to access after formatting from Windows by using Mini Partition Tool, I think your sd card is dead by hardware not software. Sory :crying:
So now I have bought a new SD and from the old one I can still use 28GB.
Many thanks for your help.

I am still trieing to fix the SD Card.
I can see the SD Card and the Folders in TWRP Recover Menu.
And some of the subfolder are broken like Dir name like !?$§...
When I try to delete the Direktories or to format the whole SD Card i always the same Error message:
***
E:Unknown mtp message type 1
E: rm -rf %sdcard" process end with write error =1
***
It is the second time that my SD Card makes trouble (the first time SANDisk changed the card)
so I try to find out what is wrong and how can I fixed it.

How to install app onto sd card with root (Samsung)

SM-A520F | Android 7
What I've tried:
I partitioned the sd card using minitool partition wizard. I partitioned it into 100gb fat32/exfat and 20gb ext4 partition. I was able to install apps onto the ext4 partition and read things from the fat partition. However, there was a couple problems. I could never see the ext4 partition, all I saw was the internal storage (32gb) and the sd card fat partition (100gb) so I didn't know anything about the sd card ext4 partition.
Secondly, on reboot the fat partition would not mount. I would have to take out the sd card out and put it back in to get it to work.
Thirdly, even when the fat partition would mount it would not show up in windows mtp. When I plugged the phone into the computer all that I could see was the internal storage, so if I wanted to put anything onto the sd card I would have to take it out and put it into the computer.
I've used this adoptable storage module to enable installing apps on sd card. It "worked" but I face two problems with this: solid explorer only reads the sd card so it says I'm only getting 120gb (not 120gb + 32gb) and secondly it doesn't load magisk modules properly, so vanced youtube or viper4android don't work. Also now I can't get reverse this.
I've been trying for a while now, I would really love some help.
Bump!
I've even tried contacting Samsung and they've done nothing. I have kernal auditor and it looks like I can make a init.d file, is there something I can do with that?
I would completely format the sd card (With android settings) and then have you tried simply going to settings/apps/*the app* (maybe have to click storage or something) and then move to sd...
Check out the second from bottom in the pic if it doesnt work and try again

I think that the setting in developer options worked! Easier than partitioning.

Cool, I'm glad

SD card not detected

Recently my Redmi Note 3 (Kate) stopped detecting my Micro SD card. The phone didn't fall down, I didn't change Kernel or ROM neither. It just stopped out of the blue.
Weird thing is that on my computer the card works perfectly fine. Tried different cards with different sizes (16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB). All work fine on my computer but the phone doesn't see them.
A few times a day I get a notification that my phone detected a corrupted SD card and tries to fix it but quits with an error.
My first thought was that it was caused by the ROM I'm using (Citrus CAF) but the cards aren't even detected in TWRP (official and RedWolf).
So I guess it isn't the ROM's fault then.
Any ideas?
I don't know how to edit and attach a picture.
Attached you can see the error message I get when trying to format the SD card

Try a small size and format using FAT32 and tell me.
Ooooo... I didn't see the other post if TWRP doesnt see it try to mount it from there or just go to wipe and just select micro sd and see what's the output..
Hey! I am glad I am not the only one encountered this. I went to search everywhere in the web and most of it are talking about a corrupted micro SD card.
I cross checked by switching my alternative phone micro SD card into my redmi note 3 and it doesn't work as well. Both micro SD card works perfectly on my other phone and laptop, just when inserted into redmi note 3, it doesn't detect, nothing happened at all. There's no option to mount or unmount or view it from file explorer or via computer. I tried to clear cache memory too. It all happened suddenly on normal everyday usage, nothing new happened.
I faced Similar problems with sd card. But i have warranty on my xiaomi and i send it to them to check it. And they raplaced mainboard. Problem doesnt appear since that data.
Make SD card Detectable
If your SD card becomes undetected then do not worry, even after trying several solutions, your SD card is not able to read then try some other fixes. Some fixes that you can try to make SD card readable on android phone are to check android phone’s compatibility, clean the SD card gently, update SD card driver, try CHKDSK command prompt, format SD card into NTFS/FAT32/exFAT and more. You can go through to get the steps to fix this error using these solutions:

Question MicroSD card support issues?

Hi, I'm new to this forum.
I recently bought Nokia X20 and I'm having issues with microsd card storage. It sort of recognise it as the phone boots up, but as soon as I tap on configure storage it vanishes from thin air and it's only showing internal storage. ?
Anybody else having the same issues? I have checked and the device supports the microsd card I'm using.. Do I have to buy a new card?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, i am not sure (i have not seen this), but maybe you should remove any partitions via a PC.
Then put it in the phone and format it via the phone.
If it already is without any partitions, maybe you should format it on a pc as FAT32 or ExFat (not FAT or NTFS).
See if that helps.
