Looking for a sound file - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

Greetings,
I am looking for a specific notification sound file, Mushroom.ogg. I was able to locate the device's audio files with Solid Explorer. In \system\media\audio\, I found all the alarm, notification, ringtone and UI sounds except this one. This Mushroom.ogg is nowhere to be found. Does anyone know where this file is located or does anyone have this file backed up?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Can I please ask you if you found Pizzicato and Shimmer notification tones in your media folder?

Hi,
As far as I can remember, Pizzicato is not a Huawei notification sound, it is a notification sound on Samsung devices. So, those 2 files are not among the Honor 9 media audio files. However, I have something for you here.

Unfortunately, that's not what I am looking for.
On my Honor 9 I have some notification tones (like Shimmer, Pizzicato, New World, Flash and Mushroom) I cannot found anywhere else, not in my Huawei Mate 20 Pro nor on the internet. I think I had them after an Emui update, but I'm not sure.

I installed Firmware Finder on my device (since last May it has been impossible to flash any updates with it, I use it only for tracking the newer firmware versions). I chose STF-L09 8.0.0 379 (C432), which is the latest update available, and I chose the FullOTA. From here I downloaded 3 files (I did not download the update.zip). I use Solid Explorer and I started to browse these zip files. I found these sound files in the update_data_full_public.zip file (data>hw_init>product>media>audio). In another zip file I managed to find the stock themes as well.

Extract the apk from the zip on your PC. Move the apk to your SIII and then just install it on your phone.

In th .zip file there are 5-6 .apk files

I see now.
Install all the apks into /system using "System App Installer" by Traber Software. Free on Play Store.
Then reboot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik.
Reboot and all should be good.
I don't think it is vital they should be in /system, but no harm.
If you need to keep AllShare, don't let it update itself to the renamed version on Play.
Put apk in system/app and change permissions: rw-r-r. Reboot and all should work fine

If you're rooted, you can find them with a file explorer which has root privileges under:
"/system/media/audio/notification"
or look a few post above for an audio zip file

Maybe, but in which folder are they? When I search by name (bongo for example), they're nowhere.
Edit : I found them in Solid Explorer.
Just use root explorer, you can see the system folder and copy files from it without root O

Honor 8 StereoSound MOD [OREO]

Hey guys,
first of all that is not my work. The StereoSound MOD for Nougat is from this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/mod-dual-speaker-soundmod-devices-root-t3735280). It is also fully working in Oreo.
Just flash modded zip in twrp or in magisk manager or copy the xml file to /odm/etc/audio/hi6402 manually .
Download

Hello,
Confirmed working on my FRD-AL00 with Oreo.
Thanks for sharing it!

Nice. The mod should work for all Honor 8. Look at the headphone sound mod in https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/themes/extra-features-frd-lx9c432b562-t3912686. It's also an awesome mod.
Nice one, thanks)
Any chance someone has the oem files on this? I have an frd-l04 and I no longer have sound on my phone. Please help!

The zip makes a backup automatically. Just use an root browser like mixplorer and and go to /odm/etc/audio/hi6402. There should be two bak files. Rename the xxx.bak file to xxx.zip.

That's really good thinking honestly.... But I didn't flash it, I extracted the 2 files and overwrote them using mixplorer unfortunately. Is there any way you could upload your bak files?
Works for Pie too!

[Q] Emui 10 Themes

Trying again...
I have been making themes for my phone... all for personal use. I use paid icon pcks to make my themes so I cannot share, sorry.
Now I need some help. I need the stock theme to get all stock elements as darkmode and so on. The only things I change are the icons so I want everything else to be stock. I need to get the extracted "Ripple 10.hwt" from EMUI 10. I´m not rooted so I cant extract it myself. I have tried to find it in the firmwarepack posted on XDA but I don´t know how to find it.
Can someone help me to extract the "Ripple10-theme" from the latest EMUI 10?
Someone?

Thanx... Now I just have to figure out how... I´m on mac and the current version doesn´t support EMUI 10. I had a glance at the Windows version at a friends house... But I still can´t figure out how to extract the stock Ripple 10 from the app.
Any hints?

Try this, can't remember if I changed any elements when I created my own theme, if there's any issues let me know, I'll try to fix it.View attachment 4941075

Thank you... however... that one gives me the same problem as my other themes, made for 9.1. In "settings" darkmode doesn´t work. Everything else is fine but just that darkmode settings...

Darkmode activated... all affected apps in darkmode but settings and rolldown notifications are not.
@Manneman32
Ok, got it!
The easy fix is to rename the theme file to e.g. ripple theme.hwt.zip > open zip with a file explorer > delete the theme elements starting with "com." (Such as com.android.phone) there should be 7 of them. > Remove ".zip" from the theme package then reapply the theme.
The system dark mode will work after that.
Let me know how you get on.

It worked until I started to change icons with EMUI Theme Editor. As soon as I changed any icons the problem returned. I have to report it to the author of EMUI Theme Editor.
Thank you for all the efforts!
