Extract the boot.img file from a stock MIUI ROM ( the version you're using) and flash (image) in TWRP.

Will try it. Thanks
Edit: should I turn off all my magisk modules before flashing the kernel?

You need not.
Another way is to simply dirty flash your current ROM but you will have to re-flash TWRP, Magisk etc.

Anyway to flash kernel without pc?

is there any way to flash kernels without connecting our phones to pc?

I think no.
Unfortunately, certainly not.
Hi
If you have a zip format flashable package containing a kernel, way shouldn't you?
When you flash a ROM, you flash also its kernel.

ROM isn't same as kernel. Kernel is medium between hardware and software. Same as you can't change ROM while phone's turned on.

Wrong, when you flash a rom you don't even touch the kernel, I guess you were talking about flashing a ftf file via flashtool.

because modules are missing... if you're on a custom rom, take a look at elitekernel thread (first three posts or so), there's a stock kernel version with embedded modules.
I have stock 4.2.2 rom and software number is 2.18.401.3
So, I can just run that .bat file for stock kernel from elitekernel thread?

Just flash the zip through twrp and you are good to go and yes it will around 10 minutes so dont panic when its stuck on boot logo
Flash miui rom zip, then flash lazyflasher.zip(google it)
Without lazy flasher miui won't boot up.

Why do you need the original boot.img? Magisk will automatically back up your old one and will patch the current one.

Use Supersu uninstaller, them install Magisk 16.0...it will work. BTW, you can extract the boot.img from any compatible rom.

Firmware update

If i flash MIUI 9.6.5.0 through twrp, will The firmware be updated too? or do I have to flash firmware separately?
Firmware is included in miui rom zip.
Don't have to install it separately.
