Hi
Since the MIUI 10.2.2 update last night, I have been unable to use mobile data, I quickly discovered this was due to the APN network settings being incorrect.
I am unable to change the 'Access Point Name' settings, as they do not clear when "reset" and are not able to be edited meaning I have no Network data.
I have restarted the phone, turned on/off airplane mode, re-inserted the SIM. Contacted my service provider and gotten a new SIM, none of these things have worked,
-unable to attach images of issues, because my account does not have 10 posts.
Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
If suggesting factory restore, would you be able to give me some advise on how to save all of my app data ect so I can backup/ restore to this, is it possible to do to external SD card, what is lost when doing so, ect.
Many thanks in advance,

I did find an error message on the XDA under ActiveSync which reads: Unable to connect. Verify your dialup or proxy settings are correct, and try again. In my Navbar under connectivity it shows my phone service and then under that it says The Internet and net to that it says PC connection. Could this be my problem? If so how do I change it so I can Sync again. Thanks in advance for any help.

SD Restore
Greetings All,
Since I can't sync I can't flash my ROM. Unless someone can give me advise on how to get my phone to sync rather than try to connect to the internet, I will need to re-install the OS. Can anyone send me the file I will need to restore from an SD card. I never made a copy of it and now that it seems to be corrupted I don't want to use the existing one.
Jeremy
try changing them both to home network
First off, thanks to all out there for the hard work and brilliant ROMs you throw our way.
I have a problem with my internet settings, and wondered if anyone could help.
i have Farias MB ROM installed, and everything was going fine, until I started to get HUGE battery drains.
I managed to solve this by removing programs I am not using, deleting a load of crap off my 2 Gb SD card, and changing settings regarding items such as IE history. Soft Reset, all good!
Next I decided to try and upgrade my Radio ROM. This failed. I'm stuck with the same Radio ROM, and my device Hard Reset!
I have got the settings from O2(UK), and have put them into my mini s, butu I keep getting the message : "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later." The problem is, I have full signal.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
did you patch gprsworkaround.cab?make sure your internet service provider settings are correct.also under the connection settings if proxy is marked make it unmarked...i hope it will help you
I am unable to get mobile data on my Galaxy S3 SCH-R530 after upgrading it to 4.3 MJA base band as mobile is reading inbuild parameters of data instead of reading it via SIM and i have taken logs of modem file to figure it out but unable to get it. i set the apn manually but no luck. the mobile internet icon doesnt even show up in the notification bar. Tried restarting, factory resetting, even reflashing but no luck.Does anyone have any idea to figure it out would be helpful.
For some reason I was unable to find this anywhere on the internet but managed to fix it myself, so I'm writing here to document it.
I have a T-Mobile LG G3 (model LG-D851) and after rooting, something happened that made me no longer able to add APNs. On top of that, there were no APNs registered on the phone, so I was unable to access any form of mobile data, although telephone worked. T-Mobile's technical support wasn't able to find the solution either. (In retrospect, using Titanium Backup to restore telephony data (messages etc.) likely corrupted my APN database).
Basically what was happening was in Settings -> Networks -> Tethering & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names, it said "No APNs", and selecting menu -> New APN did nothing; no menu appeared or anything. Basically I didn't have T-Mobile's LTE APN registered and I couldn't re-add it.
I tried a lot of things to fix it, but the solution was actually very easy (requires root): in the root directory, go to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/ and notice the "telephony.db" file. This is an SQLite database that has the APN data in it, but in my case it was corrupted. I simply renamed the file, then rebooted my phone (actually, the phone crashed ) and voila! LTE was working good as new on restart. The system detected the file was missing and created a new one with default settings; that is, with T-Mobile's APN already inside. "Add APN" also works now.
Maybe someday this will help someone else in my situation. Basically, be careful with Titanium Backup, haha.
hello everyone,
i installed the app called "Hidden Android Settings" then i was seeing it's option.... then i clicked on "BAND MODE" it showed me this option:
Set GSM/UMTS bands (USA Band)... then i clicked on it and it said, band successfully set, and since then i lost my network, and my phone now is with no service
i uninstalled the app and went to network mode and changed it back to LTE/GSM as it was but nothing changed... i even did reset network in backup and reset options but nothing has changed.. now i put my sim card in my tablet and it works... when i do carrier manual search it shows my carrier, i wasn't able to select it.... also restarting many times, reinserting sim card, airplane mode... i did all, nothing helped!!!!
PLEASE ANYONE KNOW ANY SOLUTION AVAILABLE TO RESTORE MY NETWORK?
thank you all
Backup all data from your internal storage that you want, remove SD card, wipe phone completely with flash tool and flash the latest ftf and you should be good.
