[Q] Mediapad M5 Pro - Taskbar Icons missing in Desktop Mode - Huawei MediaPad M5 Questions & Answers

Hi! New owner of a M5 Pro with a Keyboard.
I use this device mostly for school and some light work, and I've been experiencing an issue where taskbar icons disappear when i Exit desktop mode and enter again. It just started happening recently after a week of use.
Anybody experienced the same issue?

[Q]lockscreen force quitting?

Hi All,
Just a quick question: when I press the power on my stock DNA, the lockscreen appears for a split second with only the ring at the bottom, then appears to force quit and reload (I use the lockscreen with 8 contacts on it), showing my contacts.
It didn't do that when I got the phone.
Does anybody else get this behavior? Any thoughts on how to fix it?
Thanks!

Problem with notification settings of some apps

Hey all, I have an issue with the notification settings being limited/not available for some apps. Both Yi Home and Mi Home are missing the option to configure notifications for certain categories and the MIUI settings claim that the apps haven't shown any notifications (see greyed out 'categories' in the first two attachments). If I take i.e. the BlueMail app (third attachment), I have all the default categories available (floating, lock screen, sound, vibration and LED).
What else is weird is that Mi Home does vibrate and activates the LED when a notification is shown, but Yi Home does not do anything, it only shows the notification in the status bar so I no longer get any alerts from my camera unless I unlock the phone and go look for it manually. This is a big problem for me and I would appreciate it if somebody could tell me how to fix this. I've looked through all the settings and tried everything I can think of but it just seems that MIUI doesn't detect the notifications for some reason.
I just checked the Yi Home app on my Honor 7 and there I do have more options, see attachment. So really not sure whether this is an app bug, OS bug or MIUI bug.
Is there really no one else here that uses either of these apps on the Pocophone to see if he/she has the same problem?

Emui 10 graphic glitches/bugs

Hello everyone,
I'm using a mate 20 pro with emui 10.0.180, I updated the smartphone at November to emui 10, when it came out the 10.0.154 (if I remember correctly).
But after the update, and even now, I'm having some graphic bugs.
1) with dark mode enabled, hisearch show a black screen instead of blurred wallpaper, if I switch off dark mode, everything is fine
2) when I press back from an application that I opened from the app drawer, there is a strange animation (can't explain with word)
3) if I had more than one notification and I tap a notification from the notification panel, the app opening animation is missing completely
I'll share here 3 videos in a Google photo album:

(Remove the space, sorry for that, but this is my first post)
Am I the only one with those bugs?
Should I factory reset my smartphone?
Thx

Mediapad M5 10.8 - Facebook app not displaying correctly in Marketplace

Facebook Marketplace isn't displaying properly. When I open it the tablet switches to portrait mode and the left and right side of the screen get cut off with grey bars. It doesn't auto-rotate to landscape mode. I have tried changing display settings to "small" (as suggested to someone having a similar problem with the M5 8.4), clearing the app cache before killing the app and restarting but the problem is still there. The Facebook app version is 270.1.0.66.127. Android version 9. Emui version 9.1.
EMUI is crap! Huawei? never again!

Notification bar disappeared

Hi to everyone.
This morning, out of the blue, the notification bar of my Mate 20 pro simply disappeared.
I'm referring to the top bar where you can see phone signal, battery charge and time.
When i open any apps, the bar appears again but when i'm in the home of the phone, it doesn't show up anymore.
Anyone can help me to bring it back?
Thanks!
Hello to everyone.
Problem solved.
It was due to my customized launcher which, for some reason, changed the settings by itself and removed the bar.
All I had to do was to change that setting to the old mode and everything returned to normality.
