guys sorry about posting again, but this thread is continues to the old one but with a different problem.
note: i tried to delete/close the old thread but i didn't know how.
any way, my problem is the volume of the person i am speaking to is extremely low
any way i tried many ways:
*apps like volume+ and equalizers.
*changing volume from service mode.
*changing kernel
*changing firmware
*updating firmware to the latest official
the funny thing
i use grooveip to call through google voice
the app has an option to increse speaker volume
when i increesed the volume i started hearing the voice a bit louder and then i noticed that the volume is coming from the back cover.
when i flip the mobile to the other side and i put my ear on the cover, i can hear the voice a little better but still extremely low
note : mobile lout speaker working correctly and when i plug the headphone i can hear very clear and loud. so the problem is only while i am on the ear speaker
i am confused, is it a hardware or a software problem ?
if the speaker is broken will there be voice coming out from the speaker ?
please advice and thanks in advance :good:
I have a big problem with the main mic of my Remi Note 3 pro (Snapdragon Variant).
When I make a call, people can't hear me, I need to turn on the speaker mode to talk.
I've checked the recorder app and it can't record nothing, only when I blow into the bottom mic record the sound of the air with low volume. I've recorded a video and the top mic works great.
I've installed Official CM13 and it is worse, because it seems the problem it's with the bottom mic, and this ROM use the bottom mic for all things, I can't do anything.
Also reflashing the MIUI ROM doesn't help.
- I tried desactivating ok google.
- blocking all sounds of the second mic.
Someone know how to fix the mic? I'm going crazy. :crying:
Hey,
I have had the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 for a month now and I am totally satisfied. I love MIUI, and its specification, it's performance, and everything. However, today I commenced to have a problem with call sound. No matter who calls me, I have trouble listening to them. Everything works fine if I put on headphones and I am pretty sure it's not a hardware problem since the speaker and the microphone work perfectly in other apps. I can distinguish some sound but it is very hard. It doesn't work even in the maximum volume. What can I do to stop this?
By the way, the other side can hear me fine.
Here's a screenshot of me trying to change the volume, so as to make things work for once:
imgur.com/ wzJTLmS (I can't make it parsable because I'm new)
I noticed that in the left side, there's no phone icon, like it used to be when I changed the volume during a call. Maybe that's the problem?
Thanks
I too have the same kind of problem, where I am not able to hear the other person on call suddenly. Please let me know if there is any fix for this.
Ok, I did face the same problem from a few days now, tried clean flashing the two roms & still the same, so thought of flashing Miui rom, but I just connected my earphone and listened a song approx. 4 mins, then unplugged it and then tried calling to my friend and there's no issues, it's been fixed now.
If I want to play audio having headphone during the call,,and need to play audio someone during the call so that he/she can also listen it properly...is it possible bcoz it's in samsung j7 prime..I am having redmi note 4.
Dear all,
I experience the same this morning.
Was able to fix it.
Got to settings, scroll down to do not disturb, and turn it off all sound is now working. Cheers!!!!
I'm facing the same problem, if I test the earpiece with *#*#6484#*#* and sound perfectly fine, but when I make or receipt a call the earpiece volume is low, How did you fixed it?
Just plug your headphones in and out 3-4 times, and it'll work fine. Has happened with me twice or thrice now.
Cheers.
Change earphone try with some good earphones like JBL mi.
So I have a Moto G6 Plus phone rooted with Magisk. I'm using the original Pie ROM from Motorola.
At first, there was no sound during calls (I was unable to hear the other person and they couldn't hear me either).
But I quickly found a fix. I changed ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype to none using magisk resetprop. This fixed the issue, however, if I'm using Bluetooth headphones then the issue comes back.
It's very annoying especially when I'm listening to music and someone calls me. I always have to turn off Bluetooth first and then answer the call.
Can anyone help me?
When I make a phone call the audio comes out of the loudspeaker instead of the earpiece, I then have to switch to speaker mode on the call to effectively make phone calls.
The earpiece speaker DOES work I have tested it with a speaker cleaning app and it does make sound.
This is clearly a software problem pertaining to the phone app.
I have tried clearing cache and data on several phone related apps to no avail.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Redmi Note 9s earpiece issue [FIXED]
Hello everyone, I unlocked my phone's bootloader and flashed Pixel Experience ROM. Everything works fine except earpiece when I'm calling someone. I tested the earpiece with some apps from playstore and realized that the volume is very very low...
