Hello Friends,
I live in India. I recently purchased P20 Lite. I didn't like the builtin Histen sound effects. I installed Equalizer and bass booster app from play store which I used in my other android mobile. When I turned on equalizer, I am getting distorted shrill pitch noise. This is happening only with headset where as builtin speaker works fine with the equalizer.
I tried this app with different mobiles with same Oreo version. In all devices it is working fine.
I searched in google, many people complained the same and happened after Oreo update. I feel Huawei did something wrong with the update.
Can anyone give solution

I just bought the Honor V10 as an upgrade from old Oneplus One - it was 50/50 between V10 and 1+5T.
On the 1+1 the AudioFX app worked on cabled or bluetooth with Google Play Music but on V10 Histon only works with cabled headphones. I tried a few equalizer apps but they just cut the sound out on V10 bluetooth. The AudioFX app doesn't appear to be available any more. Is it not possible to get a sound app for V10 to work on bluetooth?
(sorry wrong forum, can it be moved to Q&A?)
I found that AudioFX can be installed by downloading 'Cyan Apps' from Google Store. The graphic equaliser works on bluetooth with Googles Play Music (but not with Honor's Misic playe) but the bass boost doesn't. it actually makes the sound worse.
Since Cyanogen was the a brand of Android used in early 1+1's, I'm assuming that the entire issue is Android related and should in fact be fixable?
Is there equalizer app or something to improve sound?
Not while using headphones (aka not huawei sound effects)
My sound is very very low on latest update. I think Huawei broke something.
Question, does Mate 10 pro uses internal dac and sends analog signal trough USB port or it needs an active dongle with dac inside like Pixel and most phones?

I feel that too i think my sound speakers were louder when i first got it
They could improve it alot by allowing the earpiece act as stereo rather than high frequency
As i have stereo+ turned on so in youtube for example when i rotate the phone the sound experience really changes
As I've said elsewhere download equalizer pro. Works brilliantly and I use all the time with Spotify.

Most definitely. I am seriously considering downgrading my rom to an older os. It's just unbearably too low and tinny.

Can i see the icon of the app?
Or better a link?
Just look for Equalizer FX. Pro on Google play or other alternative APK places
Hey everyone I'm at my wits end...
Got a mate 20 pro, switched from my iPhone and I love it so far but I seem to have issues with some apps where the sound is distorted I guess? It's just alien to me...
My friend with a s9+ can run the same apps with no issues...
Sound works fine on my bose Bluetooth headphones for some weird reason... Spotify for example works fine on speaker.
It looks sounds like this (thanks stranger who uploaded it): since i cant post a link: Search for "Panda Pop sound problem on Huawei Mate 20 Pro" on youtube!
Pls help!
Hello everybody
So I got a problem with Huawei Music precisely with the equalizer Huawei Histen.
While listening to music, I enable the Huawei Histen option for better experience with wired headphones. But since the recent update (two days ago from EMUI 8 to EMUI 9.1), every time I skip a track or browse within a track or pause/pause the track, the equalizer disables itself. It's very annoying because for example while running and listening to music, I have to unlock my device, open the Huawei Histen every time the track changes to get the equalizer back on.... I don't want to stop running every 4 - 5 minutes ...
I reported to the huawei music service. They told me to update the Music app (they provided a link because in app update tells me that I already have the latest). It didn't fix the issue (Though they made a great work on the interface). Then they told me reset the app to factory to get the older version. But it just get me back on the previous one with the same issue :crying: .
I don't want to use other third-party equalizers or music apps. So I'm stuck.
By the way, it seems that this issue will get global since two friends of mine got the same issue with different devices. And I googled it a bit and found 2 Huawei users that facing the same issue. Both of them after updating to EMUI 9.1.
If there's anybody here facing this, please tell me.
Info:
Huawei Music 12.10.4.308 updated to 12.11.3.305 (link from huawei service)
Huawei Histen 9.0.1.303
Huawei Y9 2018
Update: The issue above only concerns HEADSET WITHOUT MICROPHONE (confirmed after many tests, wired speakers are concerned too)
Hello, I have a issue with my Galaxy S21 (Exynos)
The Audio quality (Phone speakers) is really bad when using Games, it sounds like mono, muffled and without any bass.
It does happen only in Games. The quality from Music Player, YouTube, Spotify is great.
I noticed it while trying to record my screen.
As soon as I started the screen recorder the quality improved, the sound was fuller, with bass, and I was like WTF?
Stopping the screen recorder the sound return at a terrible quality.
It does also affect other apps, for example if I have Spotify running in background while gaming, the quality is bad.
Disabling/enabling Atmos does not solve the issue.
I also tried mods like Viper4Android o no avail
There isn't any settings that I could find.
I also updated to latest firmware (1 July patch), did a full wipe, but the issue is still there.
Can you please try it and see if you have the same issue?
Try to the screen recorder while using a game and see if the quality changes .
UP, please just try with yourGalaxy S21 and report if you have the same issue or not.
I have the same issue. It was reported in Samsung support but it seems they don't care at all...
