Changin soft. - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I have a question, No I have Oreo 8.0 with brand PLS but i want to install Pie 9.0 XEO. I don't want lose data from the phone. If I flash soft with Odin with CSC_HOME can I expect any problems with phone or apps?

No problems, you'll be fine if you flash HOME_CSC.

Are You sure ?? I want to avoid resetting the phone and setting everything again.

Yes,just select home csc in csc option

It is not only the change of the software but also the brand, because PLS is the brand of one network and the XEO is unbranded or will it not be argued in some way?

CSC change without root?

I bought SGS6E from polish operator Plus - with CSC PLS.
I found polish XEO (i was thinking that):
XEO-G925FXXU1AOCV-20150410142820.zip
flashed via ODIN. Everything went ok. But the CSC that phone show is... TPH for Portugal.
It is possible to change CSC without waiting for new firmware (good) for XEO?
Did you perform a factory reset in recovery as that resets the csc.
Otherwise maybe phone tools Samsung from the marketplace?
On the screen i seen
Appiled multi-csc. Csc appiled: TPH

Hey,
No way to do that. The problem is that even if you download FWs from sammobile that have different CSCs - based on my experience - they will default to something else. On my Galaxy Alpha which originally had XEH I flashed a XEF ROM and there was no way back. Sad but true.
The only good thing with the S6 is that with the currently available 5.0.2 ROMs you can still achieve root without loosing the warranty. And after root you can change the CSC and then can flash the original ROM which will NOW default to CSC you just set. But only if it contains that CSC package!
Hope I could help!
Cheers,
TT

I had the same problem first get your firmware from sammobile flash it through odin
then factory reset from stock recovery it will chose a random CSC but dont worry once you setup your new device go into the setting>backup and reset>factory reset. make sure you dont have automatic restore.
after reset setup device again then Open your phone’s dialer and type the following code with your device IMEI number: *#272*Phone’s IMEI Here#
it should automaticaly take to your csc changer screen pick ur one then install
hope it works !

How it works : on devices where dialer NOT shown up CSC changer (e.g.: 920F) :
Go to recovery, Dial up, Home + Power
wipe cache and perform a factory reset
next is important : power down the phone. NOT to reboot.
Power on in download mode: volume down+home+power buttons
FLASH for example : BTU :
G920FXXU3COI9_G920FBTU3COJ1_G920FXXU3COI9_HOME.tar
after reboot, it will be English, and If U go to recovery it will apply BTU.
Hope it helps
p.s.: It wont works with EVERY Firmware. don't know WHY. For example :
I wanted to flash after succesfully changed the CSC from TPH to BTU, so I wanted to flash XEH....BUT that resets to TPH after XEH flash.
So at least to BTU it works specially if you are in TPH CSC !
Can I change the CSC on an 925F to something non F? Currently mine is coded THR (Iran) and I wish to change it to something USA related. I'm hoping to activate Samsung Pay but from what I've read the change will require root which will trip Knox which won't allow Samsung Pay to work. Am I right?
Working for Galaxy s6 Edge in COJ9 ? If yes I will restore it
damm i wish i found this thread some hours ago ... same prob with G925FXXU3COI9_G925FOXX3COJ1_G925FXXU3COI9_HOME.tar as XEO CSC declared ...
coming from DBT -->> BTU --> trying jump to XEO with Firmware found by SamFirm , but failed.. every try it switches to TPH anywhere with CSC/Firmware i come from.
after read this thread i give up my trys
so go back to BTU and hope OTA Update to marschmallow comes next days ...
greetings from germany
So finally there is no option to install CLEAR XEO when you have brand? The same as author. Comming from PLS (plus) / TPL (T-Mobile) to XEO, and i get TPH For portugal.
Or meybe ishanmu and tiborprogmed way is working to have clear XEO with LTE icon?

Autopreconfig, new service provider notification

Sometimes I get a notification from AutoPreconfig, asking me to use new apps and configurations from my new service provider. If I open the notification, it says that to use apps and configurations from my new provider, I need to restore my phone, all my user data shall be lost, etc. I can press "ok" and nothing happens.
Why does that happen?
Anyone else getting this? Can I get rid of it without factory reseting the phone?

I think that this happens when for an example you live in Spain and you bought a phone for European union not Spain but Germany.... When you incert your sim card for first time it reads that your provider is in Spain but your CSC belongs to Germany so want to change your CSC from Germany to Spain .. That's why it asks you to factory reset to change your CSC...
PLEASE help from someone if I'm wrong....

Thanx... That makes sense, but is it something new...?
I used to have an s7edge with Poland csc (XEO) but never got this message even if my sim card is from a Greek provider.
Now, I see that my S9+ has Italian csc (ITV) and I get this message because my sim card is from a Greek provider...
Why is Samsung doing this to their new models...?
If I actually do the factory reset, what more will I gain? Is it worth it or nothing will actually change apart from the csc...? Everything is working just fine now.

Yes that's exactly what is happening.
Ρε πατρίδα μπες στο myphone.gr στο θέμα του s9+ και θα στα εξηγήσουμε όλα εκεί...
So I decided to bite the bullet, and made a factory reset through the settings, with my Sim Card inserted.
It rebooted my phone, after first reboot (just on the first language selection page that appears) it prompted the message again (Autopreconfig), and asked me to revert to factory settings again so as to set up the new sim card.
I selected OK, the phone rebooted once more and this time it booted directly to my language (i.e. to the language of my carrier's sim card).
I checked the settings and also downloaded an app from Play Store to check my CSC, and indeed my CSC has changed to my country.
I had ITV (Italy) csc, and now I have EUR (Greece) csc.
So now all is ok and set up to the correct csc.
Fyi, before doing the above I had backed up everything to samsung cloud.
Hello all,
Same problem here but, in my case, I have used the phone for some months... images, saven configs in many apps, etc...
I know such things are not saved in the samsung cloud... is there any other way to change this? Do all of them need a factory reset?
I use Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Android 11. I intently changed CSC to THL (Thailand) to activate built in call recorder. But now every time I restart my phone CIDmanager warning appears as in the screenshot. How to get rid of it? I don't wanna change CSC code back to my home country's.
No one knows the solution?

Why I can't change my CSC even after a hard-reset? (Custom ROM)

EDIT: I'm trying with a STOCK ROM, not Custom... I can't change the title of this thread, sorry.
Hi everyone!
I bough my SM-G9650 in Paraguay and I'm from Brazil.
There they use the csc "UPO" and here we use "ZTO".. Because of this I can't use Samsung Pay for example.
I tried factory reset (and wiping from recovery too) my cellphone and installing the most recent custom rom zto through ODIN (most recent) but the csc still UPO.
Anyone can help me?
My SIM Card is from Brazil and in any try it not asked for apply the configurations from this SIM card.
If your device is factory unlocked try with a SIM from a another Brazil Carrier , that works for example using the last ARF (Multi CSC OWO) in México , if i put a Telcel (Mexican carrier) SIM in the first boot the device don´t ask anything and the CSC is from CHILE (CHL) , but i repeat the process (With a SIM from another carrier installed) and in the first boot the device ask for a factory reset to apply changes and my csc change to "MXO" (Mexico).
Try that.

Change CSC OXM

Hi i want to change CSC for my S9+ G965F/DS
My actual CSC is CAC/CAC CAC/PHN
CSC : G965FOXM2BRJ3
I tried to flash combination rom with odin but it failed
download odin 3.13.1., i've attached it below
extract it and run odin.exe as administrator
download the rom you want from sammobile
use HOME_CSC if you want to keep your files, otherwise flash the second CSC file
i think this should work
You will need sim card from country to wich one you wolud like to change CSC. OXM is universal multi CSC,and when you put that sim from that country it will ask you to restart phone and after that just do a factory reset and csc will be changed. Its only way without playing with combination files.Sorry for my english.

This is pretty much the only way to do it now with the OXM multi-CSC.
Tried with UK sim but phone doesn't tell me to reboot or anything, i have the same CSC

[HELP] my phone won't change firmware!

A few days ago I got my Samsung A21s (SM-A217M) and I wanted to test out different firmware regions (choose the one where I live) so I downloaded 3, one was from Brasil and the other 2 are from here (tripled checked the CSC) but when I try to flash the correct firmware from my region it passes but when the phone boots up it looks exactly the same from the brasilian firmware, same network providers, apps language, etc. I have even tried just flashing the CSC but nothing has worked at all. Is there something that im missing? Is there another method that will allow me to change to the correct firmware?
