Hello,
I have a problem with Chrome.
If I send Chrome sleeping with Greenify, the app wakes up after a few seconds with the info "Get Push Notification."
But I've turned off notifications, background data, and background syncing on Chrome.
What could that be?

It seems that Chrome comes with push notifications enabled (I don't use it). Cut off the process which wakes it through Greenify or use some app like MyAndroidTools to find the culprit and disable it.

To those of you who are getting over a day of battery life, do any of you have Google maps latitude location reporting on ?
My phone has been unplugged for about 45 mins and maps is already on top of the list of wake lock detector.
I have it off and am getting about a day under fairly heavy use.

I have the basic Location services on but GPS off obviously and i have maps frozen untill i need it (Maps is NUTS with wakelocks) and background data off along with everything else that shows up under data usage. All background off but email, hangouts, google services, play store, weather, gmail, or anything else i need for alerts i need to get. So all music, youtube, es file ex, goo manager, dropbox, has all background data off.
I also only use Air call-accept and quick glance as my only air, motion or smart screen options on. I'm getting 5+ hours of screen time on. I hope telling you what i do helps if your trying to get better battery life.
Turned it off from reporting. Wonder how i can add it to the greenify app list. Might have to convert to user app
I've been using Greenify to hibernate the Facebook Messenger app and stop it wakelocking. So far I have noticed improved battery life, however I'm (obviously) missing out on notifications. It's very difficult to make the tradeoff either way.
Would it be possible to put something like Greenify on a schedule, so that every 30 minutes or so it would unhibernate the Messenger app so notifications could be received, and then hibernate it again after a minute or so? Maybe this is possible with something like Tasker?
1. Rooted Nexus 6p with Xposed framework. I hibernated both facebook and Google apps. But whenever I turn on the Greenify to check the status, I always see Facebook and Google apps are shown to be not hibernating automatically. The reason is shown to be working. But I didn't open anything. Any ideas on how to deal with this?
2. I also see many apps are under woken temporarily group (most of them are google apps) even though I hibernated all of them. Is it because I used the shallow hibernation?

1. When an app is shown as working, tap and highlight it, then open the three dot menu at the top and tap 'put app into hibernation'. You will get a dialogue box with a warning and also an option to ignore its state. Check that and it will hibernate.
2. That is the expected behaviour when you opt for shallow hibernation.
I hibernated whatsapp and activated the option that apps wake up when they get gcm push messages.
My problem is that whatsapp only wakes up when my screen is open.
I send myself messages from another phone and waited some minutes but the messages don't arrive until I pressed the home button and woke up my phone.
shouldn't the messages also arrive while my phone is sleeping?

The issue may be with Doze, not Greenify. Uninstall Greenify and check.

I removed whatsapp from greenify and it worked.
do I have to add greenify to the Whitelist of aggressive doze ???
maybe doze affects greenify so that it don't works in doze mode
I only have Whitelisted play services atm

As far as I know, Greenify is not affected by Doze since it has a persistent service running always. I have not added Greenify to the white list. WhatsApp also is not selected for hibernation but still, like you, I also get the notification only when I unlock the phone.

when whatsapp is not hibernated everything works fine. only when I hibernate whatsapp I get the messages when the screen is on.
so the problem is that greenify somehow don't runs in the background when the phone is sleeping

There are many things that have to 'go right' for hibernating apps to wake up and post a notification on queue (eg: when a message arrives). Whatever link in the chain is missing may be out of Greenify's control. Suggest excluding WhatsApp from Greenify if instant notification is a priority.

The advice for Greenify is not to hibernate IM apps if you rely on them.

it's not that important because I look often at my phone I just wondered why I only get the messages when the screen is turned on
Hello,
Some apps like twitter, reed.co, and even push notification tester get duplicate notifications even if they are not in the hibernation list.
Disabling greenify in the exposed modules list fixed that.
I have the same problem with every push notification, every notification is twice. Even with apps which are not greenified.
Is there any fix or workaround?
I have the same problem but only with Twitter. For other apps is fine.
I tested again and I only get double notifications when I activate "GCM Push for greenified Apps" in xposed settings of Greenify. If I turn that off I get the notifications as it should be...
Now I have to test if notifications are being shown without activating this although apps are in greenified state...
same here, I disabled "GCM Push for greenified Apps and double notifications are gone!!

Some notifications may be delayed with this option disabled. However, recent Greenify enhancements support per app hibernation modes so you can likely find a satisfactory balance. GCM push for hibernated apps was a nice option at one time but is now depreciated IMO as doze and Greenify have evolved.
1) I don't see any delayed notifications, the apps I want to have notifications for are excluded from hibernation of course
2) I'm using latest greenify 3.8.9 from apkmirror
3) I don't have doze I guess because I've got KitKat and LolliPop,
all in all, it was a nice feature to have, but it has a lot of issues/doesn't work,
besides duplicate notifications, somebody has to test and find himself (by trial and error) which apps are
supported to... "pass through" and which don't work
I don't have any delayed notification either.
All notifications timing are working just fine. Even greenifing facebook, whatsapp, or viber makes them get their notifications correctly and instantly (yet I don't recommend greenifying the most frequently used apps like facebook or messenger).
The only issue i have is that duplicate notifications when greenify is enabled.
Maybe because i'm still on Kitkat, I don't know.

That's because you probably have GCM push enabled in greenify Xposed settings.

Yes, that's why.
I disabled it and the issue is fixed. But unfortunately I had to enable it again as I'm greenifying some apps that receive push notifications.
