Hi, of course! I've added the boot animation in the 1.2 version, please let me know if it is not the correct one. For the charging sound I couldn't find it easily so my proposal is to wait a couple days for S10 sounds to be released and I'll do a S10 version that should include it as it will be based on One Ui! If not, then I'll do both versions; s9 one Ui, and S10.

Thanks a lot, this is indeed what I was looking for!
I know this sounds all nitpicky, but is it possible to have the genuine S9/S10 boot animation?
I know Samsung uses another file type for their boot animations but is it possible to port it over somehow?
Thank you very much!

Would you have an example, for example a YouTube link? To see how it is different from the current version and what we can do. Indeed Samsung uses qmg for their images and it is not straightforward to convert to PNG files. Thanks!

Found this video:
The Samsung logo is slightly more centered and the animation is slower.
I don't think that the Samsung logo in your boot animation is the genuine one also.
Perhaps there is some way to obtain it? :silly:
I don't know how much work you put into making a boot animation, if it's too much of a bother I'm fine with your current one.
Again, I'm being extremely spoilt and nitpicky here and I'm very grateful for your patience, answers and of course your work. :good:

Well I've looked at it and couldn't find a way... It seems that the only way to convert qmg images to png is to execute a software on a samsung phone running touchwiz, as it then uses the local library. As my phone is on lineage OS, I can't do it... if you are on stock rom we could try it, otherwise I don't see another way to extract the info! Regarding speed and size I could try to modify it manually when I will have some time

I'm surprised you're still looking into this, that's kind of you to do that, cheers!
I'd say don't bother, that's just too much effort.
I can't use my S5 anymore anyway as the motherboard seems to have some kind of fault; visual artefacts on the screen, items jittering, snowstorms, random reboots and when I turn off the screen it doesn't come back on.
Got a new genuine display last year and all was fine but now my phone has started acting up again. :silly:
It wasn't my main phone anyway but I just loved using it.
Anyway, thanks a lot again for your patience and helpfulness and your great work, I appreciate it! :good:
Any way you can bump the supported API level up to 29 so there is support for Android 10 ROMs? I've been wanting to use this on crDroid 6.4 (Based on LOS 17.1). Just tried to flash and it had told me that I have to downgrade the version to API 28 (Android Pie).
Any way to have these without the boot animation? Just the sounds change. Or if there's a way to edit the zip I can have a go at it. Just need to be pointed in the right direction. The One Ui sounds pack available for Magisk simply doesn't work for me.

Hey guys !
As announced today, I will release a mod for our Xperia X10.
The full review is available here.
You can download it here (mediafire link)
WARNING The rom zip file is a CLOCKWORKMOD BACKUP. Means you musn't flash it as a update.zip. You have to unzip it with your computer to push the "clockworkmod" folder yo your SDCARD. If you don't fail, you must be able to restore my backup with CWM recovery.
Of course, flash the same kernel i used. it's this kernel. Thanks @Achotjan
Maybe this rom works with this kernel too. Thanks @scritch007
Lets list all the apps and features i added (clic show to show x) ):
- Google Search 4 and libs from Lollipop to enable voice recognition.
- Google Fit if you want to lose weight because you spent too much time to compile
- File Manager (The same who was in my previous mod.
- Android 4.2.2 Clock
- Kitkat Fonts
- Titanium backup standard
- White icons on statusbar and Lollipop network icons
- Lollipop launcher
- Nexus 6 Wallpaper
- Cyanogenmod 11 Changelog in about this phone
- ANDROID L PREVIEW, NOT LOLLIPOP FOR NOW easter egg. Using eggster xposed module
- Xposed installer with Xposed Gel Settings, Gravitybox and eggster
- Google Keyboard 4, with marerial design of course
- Android Lollipop Bootanimation
- Google Play Store 5.0.38 with material design
- Overclock to 1267MHZ set on boot, ondemand governor and KSM enabled, for SDE kernel users
- You'll see
- Forgotten it : DPI set to 200
BUGS :
- Some rares random graphic glitches
- Camcorder
- Same as CM10
- Random reboots if you let CPU run @1.2Ghz for some users. To fix it, goto Settings; scroll down to Performance; and change max frequency to 1.1Ghz or lower.
- You tell me
If they are modders able to backport Lollipop settings, deskclock and systemUI to Jellybean 4.1, please PM me to make it awesome
Dont forget the zip file is a backup and not an update.zip.
Install Material design Google keep : http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/keep/keep-3-0-03-apk/
This mod is based to @scritch007 CMX10, so it's 4.1.2. It's NOT Lollipop, and not Kitkat. It's themed Jelly Bean.
Happy flashing
Well done on this
I don't use my X10 for anything meaningful anymore these days but might have to give this a shot.

Just fired up the ROM. Loving the boot animation! I got into the main homescreen but then it froze and rebooted I know why - it's because as you said above, the default clock speed is 1.2Ghz. My X10 has never been able to handle anything above 1.113Mhz, so unfortunately I can't get into the settings fast enough to change it before it freezes
However, what I can see on the homescreen looks amazing! You've done a fantastic job with the presentation of the ROM.

Flash CMX10 kernel with flashtool and boot the rom with it. I think it will reset the CPU settings.
Thanks buddy

Hi,
I am learning to build android ROM and trying to build CM-11.0 for Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus (msm8610) a.k.a Phicomm C230WJA. In the last three months after lots of efforts I progressed up to getting working kernel and going past the boot animation.
Now, I am facing the following problems when running the ROM on actual device. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Note: I am building it from source using CAF kernel, display and media.
1. After flashing, first boot gets past boot animation and only Top status bar appears. No launcher, no icons, no wallpaper nothing only Cyanogenmod's debugging icon, battery icon shows up, rest of the screen remains blank.
2. Second boot (reboot) does not get past boot animation.
3. When screen locks itself, it gets totally white. This also happens when phone is powered off and charger plugged in. I mean screen turn off issue.
4. Lock screen appears as it should be with background image and few icons etc.
Please let me know if you require anything related to above device.
Regards,
SDhi
SOLVED
Thanks.
I resolved all issues by myself.
1. Somehow CM-11.0 forced me to include (not inherit) vendor/cm/config/common_full_phone.mk file to build all CM apps.
2. White screen issue was related to Backlight. Made modification to kernel and problem has been resolved.

Sameer Dhiman

Yes, an alpha version of CM-11.0 but I am not satisfied with the voice coming out specifically from earpiece during call. I can not understand what the person at other end is saying. He/She can hear me loud and clear. It appears there is some bug in CM-11.0 framework with dual sim phone.
To till date I have tried the followings
1. CM-11.0 voice call quality issue with earpiece only. Other things works fine except GPS.
2. CAF-4.4.4 GPS module gives kernel panic and crashes. Stock Proprietary blobs are not compatible.
3. Omnirom-4.4 does not support dual sim. Fastest ROM among the others. Trying to port dual sim support in Omni-4.4 chances of success is 1% or 2%.
4. CM-12.1 incompatible stock RIL Proprietary blobs. Same IMEI assigns to both SIM slots and SIM does not get detected.
5. Omnirom-5.1 same as CM-12.1
6. CM-13.0 build does not even start gives /.txt, /5.txt or /6.txt error and stops. CM-13.0 major bug.
7. Omnirom-6.1 unknown reason gives Kernel Panic and crashes.
Currently, giving a try to CAF-4.4.2. Let's hope for the best. I have already invested lot of time (days, nights, weeks and months) but the outcome is only failures but I have not given up. There is still hope remaining inside me.
Regards,
SDhi

Hey guys, this topic is made for the sad owners of the for example J500FN Model that doesnt have marshmallow update. And i found a really easy way to make it look like Marshmallow, or S7. You need:
Stock 5.1.1 rom
TWRP Recovery (optional)
So, the first thing to do is really easy- Go to settings, and then Themes. Then go to Simple category, or somehow search for the Note 5 theme. I found it in the Simple category. Just install the theme and apply it and voila! Now your old lollipop android looks exactly like Marshmallow or Galaxy S7. One optional step is to download the S7 Boot animation from here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0JuAPCxIs_idTVNSXhYTWtQU0E/view
And install it with TWRP.
And one more optional step is to download S7 wallpaper.
Hope i helped, peace

This rom is based on Samsung's Touchwiz firmware, with some tweaks and mods. It is optimized for better battery life, heavily debloated, and themed just like the Google Pixel. It features the blue accent theme, Quick Settings just like the Pixel, Rounded Icons for over 1,000 apps thanks to the HydIconPack for Pixel Launcher, and Google Pixel ui sounds and apps.
The only samsung apps included in this rom are Device Maintenance, and Samsung Camera. The apps Gallery, Samsung Account and Store, SHealth, Video Player, Voice Recorder, Gallery , and some other apps can be selected to be installed thanks to AROMA Installer.

Tutorial
Download the latest version of the rom down below,
if there's a fix for your device varient, download that as well. I will try and merge the fixes on new builds.
In order to install this rom, first of all, if this is your first time, read about it, do some research and understand the consequences. You need an unlocked bootloader, USB debugging enabled and a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP.
Copy the downloaded ROM file and copy it to your device.
Reboot to recovery mode, and use the recovery to get a full backup from your device's current system, data, kernel, etc and make a copy of said backup to your computer. Then, fully wipe Data, Cache, ART cache and system(DO NOT WIPE INTERNAL STORAGE). Then use a recovery file manager or connect the device to your computer and use mtp to delete the folder Android on your device.
Then install the rom, and if you've downloaded fix patches, install them afterwards and then reboot.
When you install the rom, the aroma installer pops up and gives you a set of options for desired Google Apps,
Samsung apps and services. For the Google Apps I recommend installing the wallpapers and Fit since the wallpapers are not on Play Store and Fit performs best as a system app. The rest can be found on Play store.
The services are Dual Sim support, SuperSU root and NFC support. However, you MUST include SuperSU in your choices for now due to a kernel issue. The dual sim support is obviously for the dual sim models and the NFC is optional since it causes battery performance issues on some devices. CHECK IT IF YOU WANT NFC TO BE INSTALLED. Finally the Samsung Apps.
The Samsung apps are Account, which includes the Samsung Galaxy Apps store and Samsung Account which is required for syncing. SAMSUNG Cloud is not included because I think it is a useless battery eating service, but if you need it let me know so I add it as an option for future builds. There are other Samsung services and apps like SNote, SHealth, One Handed Mode, BlueLight Filter, Private Mode, Gallery, Video Player, Voice recorder, MyFiles, Clipboard Service and SPen features. They all pretty much say what they are, the SPen features include air command, spen apps and Snote, and Clipboard Service is Samsung's handy Clipboard Service which I really like.
F.A.Q.[/CENTER]
My device doesn't boot up after 10 minutes of flashing the rom!
If your device's LED light is no longer on and blue, then the issue is with the Settings app, try flashing with a full wipe, restoring your EFS and if it doesn't work out, contact me. If however the blue led is still on, then try and take a log and sending it to me, with your device information.
Which files should I delete prior to installing the ROM?
The only thing you should delete prior to flashing the ROM once in recovery mode is the Android folder in your internal storage.

Amazing.Definitely i will try this. Big thanks mate.

BlueLight Filter is kernel related and it's again because you're running the rom on another device. If anyone tries this ROM on other devices or varients and finds fixes for the bugs not mentioned, please share them so I may include them in future builds.
Hello Folks,
I'm planning to support the Mi 9 with XASP and i just need the Camera Media Profiles Config File from a AOSP based ROM of Your Device. Could anyone pull it and upload it here for Me!?
Should be in /system/vendor/etc and/or /system/etc...
I'm also searching for a Maintainer for XASP. If someone is interested just PM Me and i'll share the Details with You (You just need to repack/upload from GitHub using a Windows PC or Android Phone once the Month)
Hi, you can find the dump of stock ROM here: https://github.com/TadiT7/xiaomi_cepheus_dump/
Not sure if it changes, but at the moment I'm running GSI AOSP so if you need a dump of the profiles I can upload this one too.

Looks like i have to use and edit all of them. Thinks i want to do are:
-4K Front Camera Video recording
-Higher default Picture Quality by less compression
-Higher default Mem Cap for Picture Processing
-Higher Bitrates for Audio and Video Profiles
-Higher default FPS Rates on Video Recording
And maybe more if i find something interesting... The Profile from Tadi is btw. a awesome Thing for Me. I always had to download full System for a few Files. That makes everything more easy. Thanks again for sharing!
As reading your requirements this will work with PHHs Treble AOSP 9.0 ROM ?
The project sounds interesting, also it mentions that it comes with Magisk, which Magisk Version is included?

PHH Treble AOSP 9 (Vanilla ARM64, NoSU) should be the best Choice
Magisk will come in Stable and Beta (18.1 and 19 right now). Does the Mi 9 has Orange Fox or at least TWRP with working AROMA Support? I have seen Problems with AROMA on the Mi 8 while the Poco F1 can flash the Patch fine (Same Specs and Systems can be used across them). I changed back to AROMA Installers since Magisk Modules are forcing restrictions to the Patch such as Device Security Enhancements and Setup Wizard edits. You can follow Me on GitHub to see what's actually going on.
BR
Can't wait for this! If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.
