Hello. I have an unlocked ATT version of S9 plus.
I flashed unlocked firmware to it but after reading so many pie thread, I'm beginning to question if I flashed the phone correctly.
Its been receiving OTA update regularly and its on ARL1.
I THINK I read somewhere in XDA that if you are on truly unlocked firmware, phone must read xaa/xaa/xaa. However, mine shows xaa/xaa/att? (currently on mintsim service which uses tmobile network I believe)
Can someone tell me if I did anything wrong as I have limited knowledge of android phones and I would like to correct it before pie update.
Thanks in advance.
You should be all good. The last one is showing the original software provider version that never changes from flashing carrier firmwares or unlocked firmwares. Basically it shows what the phone was born as I guess is a way you could look at it.
Bought mine directly from Samsung and mine also says that.

I have a S3 bought in China, we call it a 'Water Goose' phone meaning it was shipped from another country. This one came from Europe.
Strangely it came with SuperSU preinstalled.

It also has Voodoo S3 SIM unlock app as well. In the picture above the SU request had been denied.
In download mode (Odin) it shows this:
It shows that nothing has been tampered or modified.
I tried using Exynos Abuse but I came up with this error:
Also when trying to update via OTA it gets stuck at 26% with an android with a red triangle then the phone reboots.
Anyone have an idea?

Root it. Plenty of guides out there
Not a new phone .
Super Su and Voodoo Unlock .
Probably best to flash your local area full firmware .
jje
Not exactly , in that case, probably some new contract device and shipped to China and unlock it, as we know there are some 14-days devices.

Hi,
I just bought a sony xperia Z5compact from another guy that barely used it. He gave it to me with apparently, a stock ROM. But I dont know if the other guy did anything on the phone like rooting, unlocking, whatever.
But now I want to update from 6.0 to 6.0.1 and I cant do it. Neither in the phone, nor with the computer coz I get this error:
error: UEGetPhoneInfoFailure
UE_2003".
I checked more, and the phone has TWRP recovery and an Androdplus kernel. So it has been modified, but I dont know how to check the status of the bootloader or if it rooted.
I want to update the phone to 6.0.1. and I would like to have a stock rom and a locked bootloader. (because I read that custom rom and unlocking bootloader affect to the function of the camera).
How can I do it?
I am getting different information over the forum and the internet, and I am getting a bit lost...
the security thing from service info, stays like this

Hi, i've got the same issue,
did you find any solution to update the phone ?
Thanks !
Hi there,
A friend of mine lost his phone a few weeks ago so he locked it via android device manager.
Luckily the mobile was found and is up and working now (no data erased, just got a new sim from the carrier as the previous one has been locked too) but it can't get any signal (he is on giffgaff if that matters).
We tried to swap slot in the sim tray with no success. All I can say is his sim is properly recognised on my iPhone and my sim does get the signal when put into his xiaomi, so we can possibly exclude a hardware failure.
Curiously enough when he logs himself on Android device manager through the app all options are greyed out, but it does not happen if he uses the web version (all options are available). Might this be somehow related to the phone's inability to get the signal?
He is currently on MIUI GLOBAL 8.0.1.0.0 stable (no Roms were flashed since he bought the phone)
Any help will be appreciated!

Hello everyone,
I extremely confused with this version. I just bought a second hand s7 in Abu Dhabi. So, first of all once i got it, got home and tried to update the phone using the normal check for updates method. But doesnt even start the download, and it says that some error occured.
After checking for more details on why that was possible i found out the following:
Manufacture/Brand:
Samsung / Verizon
Phone model: SM-G930F
Device type: Heroqltevzw
Bootloader version: G930VVRU4API3
PDA version/CSC version: G930FXXU1BPIA
baseband: G930VVRU4API3
Latest firmware: not found.

}
Objective is to root and update the phone to 7.0.
Thank you very much, sorry if this is a repost, but i have checked everything but i am still pretty confused with the versions and never dealt with verizon phone before. Thanks again.

Just so you know most images can be uploaded here, but I believe they have to be in jpg format however check with the forum page you uploaded this too as I am on tapatalk and most tapatalk forums support jpg

I just recently updated my Realme XT to it's latest version on the official Realme Site, which is (RMX1921EX_11.C.14) in hopes of getting Realme UI 2.0 android 11 since I read I had to have it to get it.
So, I went ahead to the official site and downloaded it since I didn't have it and my phone told my it was already up-to-date.
Now, everything's ok, same as usual. But I was wondering if by doing that, I ruined my chances at getting future official updates automatically.
By the way, now the "Software Update" section says I'm up-to-date but won't show me the version I'm on nor does it tell me my build number on the "about phone" section

EDIT:
I managed to see my exact software info. Could anyone take a look and tell me if it's ok? Or will I need to go back to its OG firmware. And in this case, I found versions with 11.C and 11.A what's the difference?
EDIT 2:
My phone OG had the same name as RMX1921EX_11.C.14 BUT WITHOUT THE EX. I live in Latin America, Venezuela, and over here we don't have an official provider. They are all imported.
My main question if I can still get official updates, that's all.
