Hey guys!
I received a phone Alcatel 7040t which got just 4GB of internal storage. It is rooted.
I'm successfully able to link 16GB memory card by creating 2 partitions.
Everything is working fine. PlayStore works fine. I've installed many apps.
Install location is set to auto.
The problem now is that WhatsApp and Facebook is not installing and giving error 910. When try APK file, it shows out of space.
Solution:
Install Apps2SD PRO app.
Select Broken App Cleaner option.
Tick Select All option and it will scan data.
Clear it and restart the phone.
Hope problem will be solved!!!
Thanks to Tribes11 for the idea.
If have any problem, please share.
I'm having the same issue after updating to Magisk 18.1 and having issues, needed to go back to Magisk 18.0 but after that, I can't install apps from play store anymore.
Now I don't know what to do, my bigger games and some apps are on 2nd partition.
I'm using MIUI 9 on Redmi 4 Prime 32gb.
Hi my friend I've managed to get past the error, I can assure you that everything can be done within app2sd. You need to clear the unbound apps data and then restart. It's a script run through the app itself.

I`m getting this message with every app i have installed when my phone starts up. The only thing i have done is remove the memory card and this has happened since.
It started last week and i had to wipe my sd card and reinstall everything.
I dont want to have to do this again.
I have a rooted hero with MCR 2.9 with apps2sd.
mind telling us which application? tried to reinstall it?
Just been looking into it a bit more.
The errors i get are with apps that start when the phone boots up.
If i open ANY apps up once the phone has booted up it will give the same error for those too.
Power manager, astro, afirewall, google maps, y5 battery saver, phone tools.
All come up with the errors when it starts.

Yes it works if i reinstall them like i said i had to do last time it did this.
But reinstalling 30+ apps is a pain.
I just really wanted to know why its done this.
i wouldn't know of any other way. this prohably happened because you removed your sdcard while using apps2sd. don't remove it. you can use the usb-cable to copy stuff from/to your sdcard at any time, works fine.
yeah its a good idea to not remove your sdcard when apps2sd is being used.
I am getting this problem with quick office. How can i reinstall this?
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini.
With a custom rom MiniCM7.
I have that rom for quite some time and liked it a lot.
Although today my apps that I installed are all gone.
Also the market place.
I tried to reinstall the market place but it doesnt appears.
When I look at my app list I see the app "com.android.vending" what is the market place if I am right.
Although I can't unstall it or open it (it also doesnt display the market icon).
How can I unstall or reinstall the market.
Please help, my phone is nothing without apps
Thanks for advance!
When I reboot my phone in recovery.
I can go to "backup and restore".
Then I click on "Advance Restore".
Then I press on the date when I installed my custom rom.
I have the following options:
Restore boot
Restore system
Restore data
Restore cache
Restore sd-ext
Will one of those restores help to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible that you switched SD card? Maybe all the apps were moved there automatically by Cyanogen?
Thanks for response both!

Well how will I be able to get root explorer without the market on my mobile?
I downloaded the market .apk file.
When I open it my phone is going to reboot (happens at the moment he tries to install it).
Also for the root explorer you need to pay, is there also some free one?
Or is it also able to do it from my PC (while my mobile is connected with USB)?

I haven't switched from SD card since I using the custom rom.
When I look at the application list and search for "com.android.vending" i see it with a dark gray android icon (not the market icon).
Within that icon also at the bottom right a smaller icon with standing "SD" on.
The application takes 204kB.
With a Cache of 4.99Mb that I cant clear.
I already tried to put my SD card out and in again.
Although my SD card seems to work fine, I can find all my pictures, music, etc on it.
EDIT:
I seem to still have version: MiniCM7-2.1.1
While there is already a version: MiniCM7-2.1.4
Would it solve the problem if I update the version by using the recovery?
So also again a "wipe data/factory reset".
Then "apply update from sdcard".
And after that Flash gapps.
Will this maybe solve the poblem?
Alright I solved it.
I updated the kernel from nAa-3 to nAa-6.
I also updated the ROM from CM7-2.1.1 to CM7-2.1.4 into recovery (so also "wipe data/factory reset").
And then it all was solved.
I want to thank you two guys for your time, and yes I pressed the thanks button at both of u
Greetings,

I had exactly the same problem, apparently CM moved all my apps to SD with me asking. It does so automatically.. See my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361073
I just can find anything that will work for me, tried everything, but it appears that GingerDX 12 is the most stable and fastest for me.
With all due respect to the developers, sometimes it seems that with every new release about the same amount of bugs are introduced as fixed..
Glad you got eyerything running...
Anyways Here's the direct link for root explorer and its free :

If you find this usefully don't forget to click the thanks
So here it goes:
I'm using a Galaxy xCover running a android 2.3.6 stock rom, and because of the memory problems i rooted it and used link2sd, I'm running a nonbranded probably european setup phone, so here are the specs right now:
internal memory 148/165mb
sdcard 2,97/14.84GB
sdcard (linkedpart) 1.09/14.4GB
system 214/238mb
cache 1.69/25,55mb
So basiclly my problem is that the internal memory is so full i can't install any new apps.
If someone has a solution for my problem it would be nice to know...and i guess that problem is been had by a lot of people but i used the search engine on the forums and on google but i didn't find a solution. Because i already downloaded the terminal emulator...and used the su / a2sd chachesdreset stuff but it doesnt find the a2sd ... so this workaround doesnt work for me...
Cheers and thanks for the help,
Corbeaux

Did you create a second primary partition on the SD and linked the apps to there?
In link2sd, you can try more -> relink files, move stuff etc. Do all of these (except Restart / recreate mount script).
Still, some app data are internal. You can go through the (settings ->) app manager and sort by size, and delete data, clear caches... Made a big difference on my phone, since browser history, cookies and other stuff from apps were still internal and eating ~20 MB.
Also, an app like for example SDmaid can help you clean system logs, temp stuff, ... which also can save several MB.
Btw, you can uninstall unnecessary system apps with link2sd, like Samsung Apps, Social Hub, smart runner....
I have the same problem...as if the links are not working... I do believe that I've done everything right.
I'll get back if I find something out, and will be very interested to hear from others.

Lars

Update:
Having checked again, and tested by moving a few apps around, I have found that Link2SD works fine with my Samsung Galaxy Xcover.
These are the steps, I used:
Rooted the phone using the Universal Gingerbread Root kit v 25
Bought a 32GB Class 10 MicroSD card, slotted it into my Windows PC, and partitioned it using MiniTool Partition Wizard. I created one large FAT32 partition to be used for "regular data" and one ext2 partition at about 1.8GB to be used for Link2SD.
Installed Link2SD from GooglePlay and followed the available instructions.
Only problem, I have now is that sometimes Link2SD gets stuck when I move apps from the SDcard to Phone (which I believe uses the native app2sd method) and when I also when I try to create links for Apps that are installed (partly) on the SD card (using the native app2sd). I leave it for a good long time, but Link2SD just stis there saying the it is moving the app. Eventually I wait a little longer and then terminate Link2SD; it has not caused damage (yet). But I think I will set the installation defaults to install to Phone by default for the future, and then use Link2SD ...thus not using the native app2sd at all.
Next I will find out which of the Samsung-installed Apps that can also be removed or linked. Some of them are classed as "System Apps" even thought they clearly don't need to be ..e.g. YouTube...
PS: during the process above, I also installed Titanium backup and ran some backups - just to be on the safe side ...and I also at an appropriate point reset the phone to factory defaults, just to get it to a defined state before making big changes...
PS: my Samsung Galaxy Xcover is running Android 2.3.6 and the kernel version is 2.6.35.7
Regards,
Lars

Since the firmware update I have the same problem. Also with freezing system apps. After killing L2SD, it seems like it was successful though.

It worked in the previous firmware I sent a bug report. However, you should upgrade to XXLL1 (released 14.01. or sth.), much faster and it fixes the scroll bug.

in my experience a very double edged sword, cause this blew my hole system 3 or 4 days ago had to reinstall everything from scratch ... and also one titanium file got corruped so i lost this apps data completly.
But on the other hand i have been tweeking around with my phone quite a bit in the last some days and it seems it got a bit faster.
@lars: about the stuff you can savely remove:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487073
it's from a different phone but the basics stay the same ...
Sv: [Q] Samsung Galaxy Xcover's Memory and Link2SD
Thank you, Corbeaux,
I upgraded a couple of weeks ago, and then had to re-root and do a little recovering, but it wasn't too bad.
It's a useful list. I'll take a closer look.
Cheers

If you want to avail this feature to move apps data to sd card you need to root the phone(Use kingo app for rooting) and install gl2sd app from playstore.
This app will copy the huge data of bigger games and few apps to sd card. That way you will be able to free up lots of space. You can then install many heavy data games on your phone and enjoy.
But yes you have to root the phone first. If you're afraid of warranty, then don't worry you can make the status back to official and get the warranty back. There a tool called triangle away to do that. So, if you want to have this feature then root. Go ahead and try if needed and enjoy. Cheers ! ! !:good:
Let me know if any issues.

Out of Space : Unable to install some apps
Hi everyone!
Pardon me, I'm just new here, I signed up bcoz I'm losing hope now.
I'm having issue installing "some" apps on my phone. (some are installing)
Search and tried TS steps found online to no success.
TS steps done:
Restarted the phone
Clear Cache on the recovery mode
Clear cache on each application through setting>application manager
Clear cache using android assistant
Tried the MMI code *#9900# and deleted dumpstate/logcat
Deleted the "mysterious large file" .thumbdata
Checked and deleted some odex files
Checked and deleted files under android/data
Installed Lucky patcher (no troubleshooting option)
Unable to install logcat
Unable to search appslib or app-lib
Phone information:
Galaxy grand quattro
Not rooted, stock ROM
phone memory : 1.74GB/ 5GB
SD card 1.5GB/ 32GB
Running process (under applct'n manager): 662MB used, 219MB free
RAM status : 568MB/845MB
I can just reset my phone to factory default but that's just avoiding the problem, I would like to resolve the root cause of the problem. (without rooting the phone)
I believe that we can resolved this issue.
Thank you in advance.

First of all make your phone rooted (then only you can delete modify files) use odin to flah CWM recovery and install superSU with CWM, some apk need root access ( like lucky patcher, root explorer) then use root explorer and go to sdcard/andriod /data and delete only the files which are not working and then try to install them it will work.
Here is the link to rooting :

Hi there,
I'm running cyanogenmod 11 on my s3 and I'm having difficulty updating/installing whatsapp. I had whatsapp installed and was told I needed to update the app otherwise it'd stop working. I didn't update in time and sure enough it stopped working. I tried to update the app to continue using it but it said I had insufficient storage available. I've got plenty of storage space on both my SD (internal) and external cards and I've checked every partition and there's lots of space. The issue does not seem to relate to lack of space.
Since then I've tried everything to get it working, first uninstalling the app and reinstalling, deleting everything manually through root explorer, then wiping the cache and davik cache, odexing all my apps and then removing all the odex files through lucky patcher. Nothings worked. Unfortunately it doesn't let me use lucky patcher troubleshoot which I've heard works. Everytime I press on troubleshoot in lucky patcher it says I need to update busybox and install supersu, which I've done plenty of times to no avail.
Please can anyone help out. I'm fearing that I'm going to have to restore everything. If anyone knows how to get the troubleshoot in lucky patcher working or just fix my whatsapp issue all together that'd be great. Thanks!
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks.
