Installation Instructions:
Grab our recovery from the peripherals section and install it.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Install Zip > Install Image > Choose ‘recovery.img‘ > Select partition ‘Recovery’ > Swipe to confirm flash
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Install the ROM and then wipe your internal data partition.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Wipe > Format data
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot into system and wait until the process finishes, it could take a little bit. After the installation is done, I suggest waiting before using the phone because it usually goes into thermal throttling after installing a ROM.

FBE Recovery: TWRP

Yes. And the way to flash is in the second post.

Rear camera broken. Must use FBE recovery. This might be the fastest ROM I've used. I was on Pixel Experience before this and it started to freeze up on me and reboot for no reason. Just wish it had the Now Playing feature on lockscreen.

Help Needed
Screen Shot for this Rom Plz

That's what I mean, and why I responded as I have. Your best bet is to take time and read through threads to get an idea of how people are responding to the rom. If that's not possible then make back ups and start trying the ROMs.
There is no this rom works the best for everyone type of thing. Every persons usage is different, same with peoples expectations for a ROM.
If you really want to get a large portion of people trying to tell you what to flash, which I don't suggest because there is not one right opinion or answer when everything is subjective, go to the 6p Q&A and make a thread asking people what ROMs they suggest with maybe a couple reasons why.
You go into threads and start trying to talk about all ROMs as opposed to the ROM who's thread you're posting in ( case in point, you just asked in the acip ROM thread if its better than havok os???) It will be seen as disrespectful, which it is. And not many, especially not the seasoned people of the forum will give you a positive response.
If you don't want to put time into reading or being part of the community here, you're better off staying on official stock.
Because someone is going to say go flash x ROM, you're not going to read the op, or read peoples experiences, and flash the wrong thing, or the wrong way, and gain yourself a new paperweight.

Very beautiful build, after a couple hours testing I would say it's pretty close to daily driver material.
WiFi Hotspot isn't working properly. It creates a network but no data can pass through. Any ideas on a fix?
Thank you for your time and your work.

If you ever tried twrp stock Oreo rom then you'll need to do some steps before flashing it. Otherwise clean flash is all you need :good:

There are plenty of videos available on YouTube for dot-os 3.0 , you can check the real life hands on of this ROM.
Thanks for the great ROM. Running smooth so far, only problem I've noticed is the alert slider isn't working properly.
That means VoLTE is working right?
Hi, can you elaborate in detail what you mean by alert slider not working properly? Like on which options were you on when it's not working properly.
No volte isn't working, probably never gonna work on any pie roms.
Been waiting on this for a long time! DotOS is the only ROM I've cared to use on my OP2. And this is the only ROM for 9.0 that I've gotten to work so far. So I am very excited for this.
*Edit* So far my only complaint is that the brightness seems to be much lower than the previous DotOS ROM for 8.1. Brightness has to be close to 60% now to be the same brightness as 30% before on 8.1.

Yes, this is due to the PIE based source-code of ROM. You will find this in all 9.0 verision builds. So i think developer can not help much here.

Definitely do join it! Invite link is in the OP post, you'll get notification updates whenever a new kernel/roms are updated or released. good stuff! The kernel i incorporated into DotOS is still very young. If you're not satisfied with it, I'd recommend flashing NGK or matrix kernel.
Only thing I've noticed so far is that "shortcut to prevent ringing" doesn't work.

Thanks mate for reply .
Issue is that whenever i lock screen doesn't matter when ,after trying to unlock screen doesn't come up . Sometimes dark grey or black display shows up .
So i have to use phone without locking phone on pie/oreo based roms. Nougat and mm roms works fine.
if i let it charge then unlock problem seems to be solved .
Maybe its hardware issue but if its hardware issue then how come mm/nougat roms works fine .
it should be kernel related problem i think which is causing this problem.
i have already done fastboot and flashone method not once but twice but as soon i flash oreo/pie roms problem comes up
i would be grateful if you help me to solve this issue atleast in your rom .
Attention. Anyone having problems like the screen of death mentioned above, you probably tried installing Android Q. Clear vendor partition and ***install the base aex you used to trembilize your phone and then install the rom you like*** I don't know if installing aex is needed or not. I think it is. But after that all Q problems are gone.
I never tried Q until today and the problem appeared weeks ago.
anyways which rom I have to try to get back to. original state? I have already flashed aex a lot of times.
sorry for going off topic.
@azzammalik That's an odd problem.
Do u use some mod on pie /Oreo which u didn't on mm?
Also does this happen with pattern or fingerprint?
Hello
I've been trying your ROM for a few days and all works fine for me, I noticed only that the notifications arrive on a completely black background and are not readable, in particular google and whatsapp, other thing battery life is not the best for my daily use...
CDLA headphones work perfectly after installing this module with Magisk (thanks to @shivatejapeddi)
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397949415
I hope this ROM will be supported for a long time yet because it is a great job
Thank you very much for your work @Nicky_san

For notifications,
Do advanced restart>Reboot system ui.
If doesn't work ,u can also try changing device theme to light under settings>Display>Device theme ,reboot
For battery,
other users r getting 5-6 depending on their use.
You'd check which app is draining battery.
U can try greenify in Magisk.
Also switch between spectrum profiles.
Lastly per app thermal profile's also available, try that.

I clean flash every rom. before I install any mod problem appears as soon phone goes into sleep mode or I lock device by my own.
thanks dev for your reply but maybe I am going off topic in this thread as this isn't problem of this Rom so I think I have to live with it. because I have done every thing software wise but to no avail.
oreo onwards all roms have same issue.
but I am thankful that you replied here as I have already created a post in help forum but no one replied there.
thanks a lot
New update released on 03.07.19 with July security patch. Any update for X2?

I had the same problem. Head to " how to trembilize your phone" topic. (That's not the real title of the topic) and then download THAT particular aex version after you wipe everything including vendor partition. When you flash this aex, install this rom.
Hi Thanks for very smooth ROM.
One issue for me. The rom always forgot my fingerprint each boot.
It looks that /data/system/users/0/settings_fingerprint.xml is initialized during boot.
Any ideas to fix it?

Have you verified this boots on FDE? Every other rom he puts out has been FBE, and it says in the OP about formating your data.

Its pretty confusing. In the OP it says nothing about formatting data and in fact says just to wipe /system/data/dalvik/cache. Yet in Post #2 it talks about formatting data and grabbing "our TWRP" (presumably the FBE TWRP) in the peripherals sections but there is no link to it anywhere as far as I can see.
For what its worth, he said its FDE in the Telegram group.

Yeah, I think it just looks odd because he might have just used the same OP template, but didn't change it to edit out the recovery portion.

For some more context, I am still transitioning over to FBE due to some source replacement I had to do.
Sorry for not making it clear, however the next official build is guaranteed to act as a FBE build. :fingers-crossed:

Just recently, our beloved Nexus 6P has been added to the official list of the SuperiorOS ROM.
New builds, entering via OTA and Sourceforge will include the most out of the SuperiorOS ROM, so take this functionality to its fullest.

Glad to see it added to the official list. Is using the FBE recovery and formatting /data, etc. required for the official build? And if not, is a clean flash required going from the last unofficial build to the new official build (different signing keys?)?

Good work
Just flashed the ROM and will test it extensively and report any bugs that I can find. That being said, I just want to ask if it is okay to flash a custom kernel?
Does it has face unlock??

No faceunlock is not available in any up to date roms because of copyright issues.

Flash Q firmware
is this a rooted Rom or unrooted? I want my banking apps work without magisk hide. Because my bank is not much famous so magisk hide never works on it.
Anybody who installed this Rom will you please do me a favour. Please install AB Tej app and let me know are you able to open it or not. If the rom is rooted then the app will not launch and forget about magisk hide as I mentioned it never works on AB Tej.

I'm not asking about root solution apps. I want to know is this a pre-rooted or not? Rooting doesn't mean installation of magisk. Without magisk a Rom can be pre-rooted. So if it is pre-rooted then my banking app definitely not gonna work.

like i said not pre-rooted.
Nice and clean AOSP rom, not bloated at all.
Stable build, thoroughly tested it.
Nice thermals, too, good for gaming with lower temps.
I like Lawnchair as launcher as well, may options and nice backup of settings.
Keep going dev.

There is a test build on the sourceforge but it only has upstreamed kernel and source upstream. i will try to update whenever something new is added but so far there is no reason to release a new stable build. hope you understand
