[MODS] [MIUI Global] Audio/GPS/Logs/Debloat/FaceUnlock - Xiaomi Mi 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

MIUI 10 GLOBAL MODS
(REQUIRES TWRP)​
As most of you know, I have been working on many MODS for MIUI 10 Global version to remove regional restrictions for face unlock, boost audio for all outputs, enhance gps accuracy, reduce logging, and lastly de-bloating to remove the bullsh**. I have finally completed most of the testing and offer them in separated flashable zip files through TWRP. Please see the notes and requirements before flashing! As always -you flash at your own risk!
REQUIREMENTS:
- XIAOMI Mi8 Phone
- MIUI 10 GLOBAL ROM (9.0 PIE)
- ROOTED ROM *OR* DM-Verity Removed/Disabled
- IF ROOTED, Disabled AVB 2.0 / DM-Verity in Magisk! (Uncheck the box in Magisk app and re-install it to your boot.img). -I've attached a picture showing what I'm talking about.
- TWRP Version 3.3.1-0 or 3.3.1-1 linked here --> TWRP Recoveries
--Reason for specific recovery is after trying different TWRP builds, i found some versions won't allow the flashable zips to make the necessary changes.
TWRP FLASHABLE ZIPS:
LINK: ALL REGION FACE UNLOCK - NEW V1.2
NEW v1.2 Re-creates factory file with better precision and greater future firmware compatibility enabling all face unlock regions (makes it compatibility with any file version)
*NEW v1.1 reads current file and re-creates existing stock with all regions (makes it compatibility with any file version)
Face unlock regardless of region selected
- Previously only certain regions could enjoy Face unlock feature.
- Finally use with USA, UK and all other regions!

- Previously GPS used 3 China servers as the main NTPs. I have removed all of them.
- I have added the top 3 NTP US servers as first, second, and third options which improves accuracy and lock time.
- I have reduced the amount of GPS logging
- I have limited file sizes of the forced logs.
LINK: AUDIO BOOST
- Loud audio regardless of region selected.
- Previously only certain regions could enjoy loud audio.
- Greatly boosts the amplifier gain and volume levels of voice, auxiliary and headphones.
- Careful, it can get very loud!
LINK: DEBLOAT (DELETE METHOD) - NEW V1.1
- Root method deletes all bloat from system including forced installs deep in the system!
- Removal of forced apps based on region from the cust (customer) partition!
- The I have left the Xiaomi Cloud Sync, Gallery (for wallpaper lockscreen placement), and Theme engine (for now)
Note: You have to re-flash system and cust partition via fastboot if you want to restore the stock bloat!

LINK: DEBLOAT (PM UNINSTALLER) - NEW V1.1 -IN THEORY SHOULD WORK WITH TWRP -WITHOUT ROOT
- Package Manager (PM) un-installer method uninstalls all bloat from the data side including forced apps found deep in the system!
- PM also uninstalls the regional based forced app installations found in the cust (customer) partition!
- This method allows you to keep the system and cust partition stock and survives re-flashing ROM until you factory reset!
Note: You have to factory reset if you want to restore the stock bloat!

There's no need for any of that on xiaomi.EU Rom.
Agps settings / supl server can be configured without any mod.
Just use supl.google.com or supl.sirf.com instead of the Chinese ip

I just switched to Turkey region with English language, and my face unlock stayed.
Make sure you have the latest Global beta ROM/firmware including full vendor partitions and system flashed from fastboot. I'm testing using beta 1-24-19.

Magisk 18.1 installed. Disable_Dm-Verity_FEC_v1.1.zip installed. I set up mod with Twrp.

I'll look into it more. Does the Themes app just not install or does it give a message that you can't use them or ? Have you tried to setup a theme under the India region, then switch back to your Portugal region? Also, please specify the 2 letter abbreviation for the region you specifically want that MIUI uses.

My bad, i forgot to mount the vendor partition before copying files in the v1.1 script
i changed permissions and separated some things.... If this one doesn't work, we need to take offline to find a solution.
